due to Covid-19 I was unable to board my flight booked in January. This company refused to offer me a refund of the flight despite the airline explaining they were offering refunds and unlimited free of charges changes. Since I booked through this company I wasn’t entitled to this. They then proceeded to tell me they weren’t in breach of any contractual terms and then send me the t&cs. It is disgusting any company in this current climate would try to profit from innocent people’s misfortune and validate it by referring to basic terms and conditions which could never be applied to a global pandemic such as this. When they finally offered me a partial refund, they insisted I had to pay them a £75 “admin fee” so I opted for an open ticket which I intended to book when the international travel ban is lifted. They’re now claiming when I choose to rebook I’ll be forced to pay a “rebooking admin fee”!!
This company is disgusting and has handled this unprecedented global situation with complete greed, selfishness and a total disregard for their customers. I would encourage anyone not to give their money to such a morally unsound business and I sympathise with any other customers who have no doubt experienced the same!!!

Demanded I pay £250 to cancel already cancelled flights!! then tried to charge admin fee for a voucher, tried to hold me to ransom. Resolved by bank. Avoid at all cost - you buy cheap - you pay dear in the long run...

Usually cancellations are processed between12-14 Weeks, however under certain
circumstances processing times may be longer. **

I spoke with Etihad about my cancelled flights in march. Not only did emailflights not even let me know that my flights was cancelled but I did not hear from them for 4 months until they started being able to take £75 PER PERSON in admin fees for refunds.

Etihad said the refund to the agent can take 45 days but emailflights refund letter states the above.. that could be anything from 15 weeks - 24 Months.

With the Covid 19 problem we have had to re-book for 2021, i know that email flights have been very busy with other bookings, but at last today Roy whom works for email flights has sorted out our new tickets today. a big thank you to Roy who is a star in your business so polite and very helpful

Stay away from this company

Today I received an email from emailflights.com that says in order to get my refund claim processed, they are going to charge £95 per person. More than 3 months ago, they asked for £75. Now they are asking for more with another form. I don't know what I can say for this company. I bought it through Skyscanner. I think this should be a good learning for everyone. You think that you can save money if you buy your ticket through a travel agency however you end up with no refund, and extra fees that never claimed before. Emailflights.com is a terrible travel agency. I am not sure how they still exist in this market. Stay away from them...

A few agents make it worth it

A few agents make it worth it

The company is generally quite shoddily run - won't inform you about ticket cancellations, have to chase them up etc. I appreciate staff may be working from home during these times but call hold times are a bit ridiculous - 2 hours on hold to get something straightforward sorted out or to get crucial information with an upcoming flight.

It is cheap and good value for money - beware of their admin/cancellation fees which can rack up if you have more than 1 or 2 passengers.

Was quite frustrated after trying to have a holiday refunded because of corona but then changing our mind as it cost more to cancel but then finding out our tickets needed to be rescheduled but the agency had not informed us - most agents were unhelpful.

Can only recommend Fabian D'Cruze who gave his email and responds promptly and is actually useful - cannot recommend him enough, he is the only reason I didn't give one star.

Unbelievably rubbish company

Unbelievably rubbish company. My wifes flight has been cancelled since the 8th of July and these Muppets haven't let us know yet and it's now the 21st of July. We only found out because my wife contacted the airline about another issue that she had asked this company about but didn't get an answer. We have contacted the credit card company to do a charge back on the payment she made as we can't be bothered to ask the company here themselves as we probably won't get a reply. First and last time for us to use these.

Extortionate admin fees - do not use this company

My friend and I booked flights to Thailand through this company. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic our flights were cancelled by the airline however Emailflights advised us that there would be a £75 PER PERSON admin fee for cancellation of the flights. They said it is in their T&C's that there would be an admin fee applied for cancellations however we did not cancel the flights, the airline did so feel this charge is totally unreasonable. Would not recommend this company to anyone and certainly would not consider using them again for any future bookings.

I reading bad comments here all about refund money and cancel flights. I bought tickets for this agency a second time I don't have any problems I have e-ticket in 3 days they customers service fast and kindly. Be patients refund people live is to be or not to be..

Same as all the other honest reviews on here.
It’s been 55 days since my flights were cancelled, booked flights and hotel with them.
They haven’t contacted me once, not even to tell me they were cancelled. I got that info by checking the airline myself. They just send generic responses, which answer none of my questions and take about a week per email. The fact they want £150 to give me my money back I’m pretty sure is illegal. I don’t feel like I’ve gotten £1.50 worth of service let alone £150.
I would say don’t book with them, but they won’t survive this, no company can be this bad and exist. Just look at their reviews, I’m sure SkyScanner will drop them too after all the complaints. By far the worst company I’ve dealt with.

Terrible customer service

Terrible. Do not use this company!
We have been waiting since the beginning of April for a refund for our cancelled flight to Cuba, due to the Covid crisis. They are quite happy to keep our money and not refund us quickly and then - to add insult to injury - they intend to keep £150 for their 'services'. Disgusting. Trying to communicate with them is virtually impossible. We haven't heard a thing from them since April. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Do not book with them…

Booked a fight with them last May which was subsequently cancelled in March this year. I’ve now been waiting almost 4 months for the refund to come through. I can’t recommend booking with them in future, my experience reflects many other reviews on here.

Crooks. Don’t believe the rigged rating they have.

I have set up a facebook page for all the people being ripped off by this company.

Search ‘Emailflights consumer action’ And you’ll find it

Endless problems with them. I have been awaiting a refund for four months. Soon to take them to small claims as they want to take £150 of admin fees.

would give zero stars if I could. Actually no...would give a minus 5 star rating.
Like all other recent 1 star reviews, I say DO NOT use them. Other travel agents have done the honourable thing and waived all fees and returned money in a reasonable length of time. This lot insisted on holding back £150 per ticket to begin with for undefined 'admin' fees. Eventually argued them down to £100 pounds per ticket...that is £400 pounds! Still too much. I only just got back my money...minus 400... (second week in July) for a flight that was booked in March. I had to do a lot of chasing. it was very stressful. There is a phone number on the website and I held on several times for almost an hour...they do not respond. I did eventually get someone via email from Customer services who was helpful and speeded things up. I had at the same time raised a complaint with my credit card company to get the money back that way...so they were about to start chasing them too. also agree with other reviewers...for flight only, go to airline directly, I know that Virgin refunded 100% of our money to this company. It is this greedy travel agent that has chosen to penalise us for being unable to travel dur to COVID. i will NEVER book with them again and will tell everyone I know not to book with them.

Avoid this travel agent!!

I had several flights booked via travel agents that were cancelled by airlines due to covid. All travel agents have refunded and waived any admin fees EXCEPT for emailflights. I would highly recommend to avoid this travel agent at all costs. They have no consideration for their customers and very poor customer service.

Really difficult company to deal with

Really difficult company to deal with, when we first booked in October our flights got cancelled and changed to longer flights - I would call to discuss and told I had to email but trying to get a reply was so difficult and theu never answered the emails correctly just wrote something that didn't answer my questions. Finally got it sorted, had to speak simple to get answers,then it gets worse with the covid situation, signed a refund form couldn't care about the admin fee although it is ridiculous but the flights were expensive and we were just happy to be getting some money back it has now been 4/5 months, no refund, now saying they wont issue a refund only voucher or rebook which is incorrect i know they can get a refund have spoken to qatar correct. Have taken up with our credit card company, they're fairly confident that we will win as we have email proof that they would give us a refund as well as signing the refund and now not offering. Can't beleive all the fake reviews they clearly post on this website as well to get their stars up so other unsuspecting people can buy from this terrible untrustworthy company. Absolutely disgusting customer service. DO NOT USE.

Received a call two days after leaving this review, being told they are working on it and would call me back in a couple of days, still no update and still no refund despite signing the refund form at the end of March. RIDICULOUS.

small claims court

I have know started my small claims court against emailflight they promise one thing and then go back on the word. Please be very careful what they want you to sign. They are just trying to get more money out off you and they want to keep as much of your money as possible. Very poor service.

The absolute worst! Don’t give them your money!

Booked flights last year to Australia to travel in May. Still haven’t heard from them, I want a refund but it’s radio silence! Worst customer service, they have deactivated their phone line and their Instagram accounts! Cowards! At least have the decency to face your customers! Other travel companies are giving me weekly updates since March on flights I have booked with them!! You are the worst, at minimum I want communication, and then I want my refund!! Grow a pair and actually answer people’s emails!
