I ordered and paid for 2 pairs of sandals and received 1 pair on 3/28/29. I emailed ellisandparker requesting the order # and tracking number for the pair I didn't receive, twice. They indicated they were sent in separate orders the 1st time and were on their way. The 2nd email I sent asked for the order # and tracking #. They put me off by telling me they needed time to locate the numbers. I thought I wrote a review giving them 1 star but can't find it now. Anyway, I just received the 2nd pair of sandals today. I love the sandals, but their customer service and followup communications get a 3 star.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CHINA WEBSITE!!! NOT A BOSTON STORE.
The merchandise is cheap material and not at all what they describe. You cannot return items for refund because the address they provide is in CHINA and you have to pay for the return.
Credit card Capital One would not provide credit in dispute because they required the return receipt.

Now it’s called Lucy & Porter. They just change the name and keep advertising on social media. Spammers.

I placed an order for two dresses. I thought this was an American company. It is not. It's Chinese. I've had several emails saying that my order is on the way and was given a tracking number. The number can no longer be found. I have tried emailing the company, my emails are returned as undeliverable. The website is no longer either. Nor is the Facebook page. At least they will not be continuing the scam. Will see if my credit card company can help. But, not sure how they would be able to collect from a defunct scam company. Not a great deal of money, but still a disappointment.

The dress I ordered doesn't fit, and they don't want to refund me what I paid. They want me to keep a dress that doesn't fit and they will give me a 20% refund. Are you kidding me? Who has this type of policy. I wish I had read reviews before I bought the dress. Complete scam company!

I've encounter this same thing with a slight name change to Ellis and PARKER. Exact same pictures and format.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. THE MATERIAL OF THE DRESS AND SWEATER PURCHASED WERE TERRIBLE AND PLASTICKY. TO RETURN THE ITEMS IT SAYS IT HAS TO BE SHIPPED TO CHINA WHICH IS OUTRAGEOUS. BUYER TO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Ellis and Porter claims there is a store “in the heart of Boston”. I’ve lived here for 49 years and cannot find it. On the website they list store hours BUT NO ADDRESS! What a scam!

Ordered a summer top. I received numerous emails informing me regarding the delivery tracking. I received frequent updates including a shipping delivery. Communication was informative up to the day of delivery.
Accordingly to their website, the store is located in Boston. Too late, I investigated that claim and was unable to find evidence of that claim.
The product was poorly made and ill fitting. All communication stopped and I was never requested to write a review. Stay away from this business.

Do NOT order from this company. The quality is terrible, cheap and doesn't at all represent the pictures. They claim to be a Boston company "a small family business." but the order came from China. When it arrived, it looks like plastic material with a bad smell, so cheap. When I attempted to return, they gave a long explanation of why it has to be returned through China, it will cost me a lot to return, then they offered 10% which I turned down, then 20% which I turned down. They insisted that the return be tracked to insure they get it to the where house. The website is fake, I ended up reporting to BBB and taking the 20% rather than continue with their unrealistic return policy. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I regret not readings these reviews first

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their clothing is garbage and they make returns next to impossible, offering things like "keep the item and we will refund 10%". They are NOT in Boston as advertised, they are in China and they are a total scam. Stay away and save yourself a lot of aggravation!

Doing business with this "so-called" company kinda did not feel right from the get go. Just the handling of the order until shipment did not seem like the normal procedure a legitimate company would take. But since I placed the order, it was too late and did not take the time to read any reviews, which I wish I had. All I can say it was a slow process to get my order, the blouse is of poor quality for the price I paid and had no labeling. They come across as a US based company but require you to make any returns to Asia, at your cost, with no guarantee that the item will get thru customs, which they are not responsible for. The blouse was shipped from NY but they will not let me return it anywhere within the US. They offer a 40% refund to keep the item. Amazing how they can get away with this kind of crap

I really wish I would have read this prior to giving my money! I ordered a dress for an even almost 2 months ago and still haven't received it. I tried canceling it and they keep telling me they can't because it's with a local carrier. This is the worst place I've ever placed an order for! I give it a one because a zero is not permitted. Shame on you!

Despite numerous disingenuous emails from E&P regarding the delay of shipment, the special-occasion dress did not arrive until after the event. (Ordered more than 2 weeks prior.) And it was cheap-looking to boot. Their return policy is to suggest I donate the dress, as return shipping was at my own (considerable!) expense. Offers of a small % of my purchase price as an ultimatum to "close the issue" were completely unsatisfactory. Stay Away!!!

This business is a 100% scam. We purchased what looked to be a beautiful patchwork-style hooded sweatshirt for my daughter who loves sunrises & sunsets, which the pattern depicted. At about $65 (shipping included), we expected a high-quality product. What we received was something I wouldn't have given a second glance if I had seen it in a store. It was so cheaply made, and rather than patchwork the design was terribly screen printed and blurry. It looks absolutely nothing like it was advertised online. I attempted to pursue a return, and was told that I would need to pay the shipping costs back to the warehouse in China, where it would then be subject to some sort of quality screen to make sure it was acceptable for return. They first offered me a measly 5% refund if I kept the product, and then increased it to 10%. On principle alone I would have liked to have proceeded with the return, but considering how shady this transaction was I was almost certain they'd find some reason not to refund my money, even though it had not been worn. I figured it was best to cut my losses, accept the $10.99 refund, and take this as a $55 lesson in shopping online. This business is deceptive and deserves to go out of business for their fraudulent practices.

If I could give no stars I would. Do not buy from this company! Everything about it is a lie. The product they send has nothing to do with what they advertise and the process to try to return it is excruciating, and designed to be that way. A TOTAL SCAM.

The produce was a fake and the company should be sued for false advertising

Thought I was ordering from Boston as it states on the website...it came from China. Not a local store. Missed the date I needed the items for a trip due to the long shipping time. "Suede" coat ended up being some imitation fabric that looks super cheap. I was going to return and then realized that the shipping to return to China would most likely be more than what I paid for the items. I guess I will just donate them. Lesson learned.

BEWARE!!! I ordered two dresses based on their MISLEADING LOGO, stating "Boston".
Neither dress was made properly, and did not fit. They said their policy was for the buyer to return items to ASIA at buyer's expense. VERY, VERY BAD. NEVER AGAIN.

So, I ordered a beautiful chiffon outfit that I thought was from Ellis and Porter a literal store in Boston for my grandsons wedding. Oh my goodness. It arrived today & it couldn’t be more horribly cheap than it is. I could have purchased a nicer outfit at Walmart. It doesn’t even look like the same outfit, such cheap thin material. I wish I could post the comparison of what I ordered & what I received. It’s horrendous
