An awful experience.

Did loads of research before investing in my very first greenhouse. There were a few in my price range (pensioner) so I decided to dig a little deeper. Contacted different dealers/suppliers and after (what seemed) a great conversation with this company I decided to invest in their product. With COVID and living alone this would have been a great distraction and the within the conversation they agreed an 8-10 week lead time. I had plans to spend time with family in early December using the governments social bubble rule so this fitted perfectly with an original worst case date of delivery in early November. Cleaned and prepped the area, laid small concrete bases and sat back excited to receive my greenhouse. After a month of not receiving any confirmation that they’d received my order I contacted them, just to be told I’d have to wait 18 weeks, after plenty of emails back and forth, chatting to 3 different staff they admitted that the 8-10 weeks was wrong (no apology) and because of COVID it’ll be 14 weeks and there’s nothing I can do to change that. So, cancelled my travel plans and 14 weeks came, heard nothing. They’re supposed to contact you 7-10 days prior to arrange delivery so even if they could deliver you’d be looking at 15-16 weeks. Enquired by email, the eventual reply was a short abrupt email blaming Christmas stand down for a further delay of mid January, over double the existing lead time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with COVID but blaming Christmas stand down was proof they literally have no idea how to run a business. What’s worse, they really couldn’t care about their customers and at no point did they initiate contact to update on any issues, absolutely disgusting. Cancelled the order today, has put me off buying another. If you read this, stay away from this incompetent company as you’ll have nothing but grief.

Brought the 8x6ft High Eave. I’m very pleased with the quality of construction. However, I would recommend paying for an installer to put it up for you and to have the toughened glass version. This will cost more, but well worth it.

This Greenhouse is appalling and not worth the money paid. As others have said the instructions are stupid and impossible to follow. The videos contradict the written instructions. The makers of this greenhouse need to get off their backsides and overhaul the instruction book with more pictorial guides for each step. I will never buy another product from this company. Buy British buy rubbish.

Purchased a elite high eaves 6x8 greenhouse from local garden centre arrived in 2 large boxes several weeks later installation instructions are horrendous even to someone like myself who is very competant at diy and has constructed sheds and greenhouses in the past i fail to see how a non diy person would have a chance at completing the construction follow the booklet provided and the vidio on line provided by elite is not much better. For the rather high price paid the quality of the material and methods of construction are shocking nuts and bolts are impossible at times to fit together due to bad milling and several snapped off with minimal torque applied i have had better and much cheaper greenhouses in the past i give one star for the idea of the high eaves this product needs a thorough review by the manufacturers i am disgusted and short of over £600 what a waste

A quality product once you've succeeded in erecting it. I imagine that the instructions started out as absolutely impossible to follow and have now evolved to the point of being almost impossible to follow. Constructing it was like being presented with a detective riddle to solve combined with a giant, complex, 3 dimensional meccano puzzle. It took me the best part of 3 days.

The instructions are riddled with many omissions and errors. The parts list is incomplete as it misses off the variety of small nuts, bolts and screws,. All the parts should have a code referred to in the instructions so you know exactly which part to use and when.

As I progressed through the rabbit hole of construction I was convinced that something would be missing. That did not happen until I got to the rainwater kit at the end (see below). Instead I ended up with a large quantity of excess glazing and fixings. Good for spares but wasteful for the manufacturer.

Overall it was satisfying (I like puzzles) because the product is incredibly precisely machined and miraculously came together to be sturdy and good looking.

However, there were two manufacturing inaccuracies. One slot that had not been completely cut that I had to finish off with a hacksaw, and the holes for the door wheels are not quite aligned so the doors don't hang quite straight.

Elite need to get some inexperienced people into their factory to construct one in order to help pick up all of the problems and thoroughly rewrite the instruction manual.

If you do order a water butt and standard rainwater kit, please note that the standard rainwater kit is for a greenhouse without a butt. You need to order a kit suitable for the butt. To the supplier's credit (Gardensite) they sent me the replacement kit free of charge.

Just built a Craftsman Greenhouse from Elite in Black Powder Coating and it looks fantastic with bar capping covering the glazing clips. The instructions area bit hard to follow in places but all got sorted. And I had brilliant customer service - they sent a missing set of screws overnight and also helped out when I managed to smash a pane of glass. And they were there to advise on any issues. Great company with great staff.
