I thought I was a good swimmer until I started doing triathlons and realised I needed to shave some time off my pace. Have managed to shave 20 secs off my 100 m pace. Basically all done to the brilliant tips and tricks on the you tube channel. Easy to understand and implement to improve your technique and understand how to “ flow” through the water. Unfortunately, my cheap pair from rebel are lasting longer than these. These are constantly fogging up for me. They were perfect for about a month.

I've loved every part of the Effortless Swimming coaching experience. I started last year with the 8-week freestyle course. Shaved a couple of seconds off my 100m freestyle. Swam 116.55 last summer. And strangely, I was relaxed when I did this. So feel I can improve the times. I've really appreciated the individual coaching (video feedback), the actual videos, and Tasmynne and Brenton's feedback. Just started the 4-week Breaststroke course, and plan to do the Back and Fly later in the year. Great! Keep it coming.

Water is getting in so maybe a need a different model or something cause I have to really squeeze it down and maybe I don’t get water in

I found Effortless Swimming by accident while it was new and beginning to grow. I quickly found the social media posts to be of excellent quality and content. Brenton is a master of explaining concepts and putting swimming principles in a logical and easy way to understand and share. I have a solid understanding of stroke technique and all things swimming but he has given me some new tools and language. His videos are always spot on as well.
I purchased a pair of goggles and found them to be good quality as well. (I’m all over the map with goggle styles.)

I was looking to improve my swimming skills and found Effortless Swimming. I’ve benefited greatly from incorporating their recommendations. They have a way of presenting critical information that works for me.

This is the place where we can find the best answers and knowledge about how to swim better.

I completed the 8-week Faster Freestyle course at the beginning of 2025 using the printed handouts and online materials. My experience with this course has been truly transformative. The structure—clear explanations, focused drills, and especially Brandon’s videos—made a real difference. The biggest breakthrough for me was learning how to control my kick: what was previously chaotic became precise and intentional. The work on kick timing and the serape effect (week 7) was a turning point, and I still return to those drills regularly.
During the course I made a significant jump, and over the following months and years I continued improving—from around 1:50/100m to about 1:30/100m. More recently, I reached 1:23 for 100m for the first time. The foundation clearly comes from this course. I also continue to follow Brandon’s videos and updates, which remain inspiring and help sustain motivation and progress.

I purchased the "faster-freestyle-course" about 1,5 years ago and am still using the workouts and exercises frequently. Apart from that I am always enjoying new insights, tipps and videos from Brenton. That motivates me to keep on working!

This is indeed great content. The whole structure is well thought out, and I did indeed improve my times in a measurable manner.
The only downside is that part of the value comes from the ability to send in videos of your stroke - which is not easy to get: in my area, you can't film in public pools just like that. I still found the course great and well worth it, but you might want to check on whether you can film yourself while swimming beforehand.

Brenton Ford's courses got my swimming from practically nothing to happily doing workouts of over a kilometer, and feeling really good about it.
He can break down technique to its essentials, and provides the goal-oriented exercises needed to make real progress.
I've been following his courses for several years, and been improving steadily. Swimming well has changed my life, and effortlessswimming.com has been key.

I ordered some goggles that claimed to stay must free after finding all my other goggles from a different company only lasted a short time before to anti mist wore off. I was sceptical but decided to give them a try. I have had them now for ages (well over a year anyway) and swim 4-5 times a week. The goggles have remained mist free. Highly recommend them.
