Scam company
Scam company. Avoid!
Terrible quality of product and customer service. The product that I received was very cheap and of poor quality. The returns portal doesn't work, which makes it very difficult to return the item. I paid for postage as advised previously by customer service. Since then, I have sent several emails regarding my return, and although I have proof of postage, they haven't responded to my emails, and they haven't refunded me either. I am being completely ignored. I wouldn't recommend.

Absolutely appalling customer service
I’m genuinely disgusted with the level of customer service I’ve received. I accidentally sent a return parcel to Double Second instead of the correct retailer, and I contacted them immediately. Their auto-reply promised a response within three working days, yet it’s now well beyond that and I’ve had no update at all.
The parcel was delivered to their warehouse and is in their possession, but they haven’t even confirmed whether it’s been located. I also can’t return their own items because I’m still waiting for a replacement returns label, which I requested straight away.
I’ve done everything I can to fix this quickly and fairly, but the complete lack of communication has left me seriously worried the parcel could be misplaced. If that happens, I lose my refund through no fault of my own.
This entire experience has been stressful, unacceptable and totally avoidable. I’m shocked that a company can handle a simple issue with such disregard for its customers. I honestly expected much better.
I emailed on the 10th and received a response the day I added the review (19th) So if you want a response quickly, add a review!

Terrible experience
I contacted both Debenhams and yourself several times about my return. I returned the dress in a completely re-saleable state with photos to prove. I have just realised from previous reviews that you have used this same excuse several times to avoid a genuine return with other customers - totally unethical and unacceptable.

UNPAID Labour at Double Second
I didn’t have a great experience dealing with Double Second due to their non-response to address an issue with a dress. Ultimately, I was horrified to learn their business runs on unpaid labour. Despite Double Second’s claim of having “an ethical approach from start to end”, at the time of writing this review, Double Second is advertising multiple unpaid vacancies on a known exploitative job board platform that allows companies like Double Second to advertise unpaid work in the fashion industry. An ethical approach from start to end? Yeah right!
Update 29/7 - Double Second have responded with lies and mistruths to this review. The pitiful excuse provided about their unpaid vacancies being "fully compliant with legal standards" is made-up garbage, and nothing more than exploitation with jazzy wording in an attempt to justify their twisted view of unpaid labour. At the time of this update, Double Second is still advertising multiple unpaid vacancies. Double Second is not ethical!

Absolute cowboys, tried on a brand new dress . Nasty cheap material , cheap (ordered through Silk Fred) received the dress back with some crappy photocopied note, saying I haven't met the criteria. No photo proof nothing..... looking at other reviews they do this alot. No one likes dishonest and businesses that act in a fraudulent way.Unlucky for them I am qualified in Law they are clearly not. Miss Yeomon Emily Cheung clearly you do not understand the laws of the UK .Look bad on Silk Fred too that they associate with this business. Currently you have been reported to Trading Standards and the Local Council within the borough of your "Fake registered office", also the Insolvency Service, the FCA and Action Fraud.

Terrible business, don’t order from here ever!
I ordered a jumpsuit via Debenhams and returned it in perfect condition without touching the ribbon and without having worn it. To my surprise, the clothing was returned to me a couple of days later with a note listing 6 generic reasons as to why they are unable to process my refund, one of the reasons being I should try the shoes on indoors. I ordered a jumpsuit! What has shoes got to do with the item. I will never be ordering from such a sham of a company again. Whoever is considering ordering from Double Second I strongly advise you don’t. Waste of time money and effort
