Still not arrived (majority of order) and the stuff that did was completely the wrong items that I did not actually order.

If I could give this minus stars I would! Do not buy from this company!! My lampshades all arrived late and in a random order. I had to return all of them. I sent them to their warehouse with bold letters clearly stating my name and for a refund and sent the order number and original invoice and they are refusing to refund my money. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Save your money!

I ordered three lights worth £800 after being led to believe this was an English-based company offering 24-hour delivery. After purchasing, I discovered that’s completely untrue — the company isn’t based in England, they are a Chinese based company, and the actual delivery time is around four weeks.

There’s no way to contact them directly, and they haven’t responded to any of my emails. It’s been over a week with no acknowledgement or update on my order. Very disappointing experience,
I’m now having to contact my bank to try to recover my money.

Do not use this company.

Bought a very large bamboo lightshade from Demolights. Couldn't get an extra large shade in this style anywhere else.
I got a bit worried when it hadn't arrived after a few weeks and I then read the Truspilot reviews. I shouldn't have worried, their website says that delivery is about 4 weeks from the date of the order and within a month a huge box, with more stamps on it than I've seen in my life, arrived.

The shade is great, really dramatic and excellent quality. I can happily recommend Demolights.

Light took over a month to arrive despite numerous enquiries/chasers. Needed considerable assembly and the instructions weren't the correct ones for the light. Although it looks ok from a distance, up close shows how plastic the item is. Honestly not very happy at all and not prepared to add a recommendation. In fact, I would say avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give a 0 star I would.

Please note, this company is not in UK. It does not deliver within 24 hours. It has been over a month and no lights. There is no way of tracking them. One package they claim was delivered but the picture they sent bears no resemblance to our address. They only respond to emails overnight so you are constantly waiting 24 hours for them to reply.

I feel a fool. I spent over £1000.

I am now going to open a dispute with Mastercard.

I like many others ordered from here thinking it was a UK company. I was also expecting dispatch within a couple days and didn’t hear anything for 3 weeks in regards to dispatch. I then realised from the tracking it was coming from China I was a bit sceptical but patiently waited. My product arrived and it was a DIY lamp which was not mentioned on the website - also I have seen similar items better quality much cheaper. Nothing wrong with the product itself but for the price I paid I did not want a DIY lamp. I contacted the company straight away and they gave me return details, I sent my item back and have received a refund. The communication was prompt and polite. Giving 3 stars due to the quality of the product in real life compared to the price and the fact they try to give the impression that they are a UK website.

Obviously much luckier than some… ordered a wicker lamp shade which took around a month to arrive. I questioned its non-delivery once and had a return email saying it would be with me on 3 days, and it was. Came beautifully packaged, from China. Was pleasantly surprised, considering all the reviews I’d seen. Looks good quality and very happy with it. Do I think it’s worth what I paid? No. Would I have returned it if it was from the UK? Yes. Would I buy from them again? Probably not. False advertising, saying UK when it’s clearly from China. But overall, a great product

I can only speak about my own experience. I recently ordered 2 wooden lampshades costing £250. They did come from China, took about 10 days. Unfortunately, I had to return them. I emailed and received a response within 3 days as per the webpage. I was advised to return to an address in Manchester which does exist, and received my £250 return. Please dont be put off by previous reviews. If you check companies house, a new director has recently taken over the company this year. No issues from me, hence the 5 stars.

Shambolic company posing as a legitimate company. Avoid at all cost. I wish I had came across these reviews, trying to return a £150 lampshade to an address in Manchester that does not exist. Do not deal with these bandits.

Just received my £150 lamp shade. Don’t buy from this company they are not UK based comes from China. The lamp is not as it shows on there website looks Very cheap and the fittings are not for UK standards. So now I have a lamp shade and money down the drain.

A bit luckier than most. So I ordered and paid for a light costing over £200 and after 2 weeks hadn't heard anything. Only then did I read the reviews here, agh!. I emailed them and they responded overnight to say that it was being despatched that week. A week later I emailed again, and again they responded overnight this time with a tracking number for China Post. The China Post website is all in Chinese but using translate I could track it's progress, 2 weeks later it made it to me! The light is undamaged but I'm sure a qualified electrician would not be happy to install it. It has instructions but they bear no relation to the light itself, none of the additional parts (like the bracket to secure to the ceiling) have been included. As of today we still have not done anything with it, worst case we'll just try and re-use the lampshade.
So I couldn't really recommend anyone to use Demolights but I wouldn't call it a scam site as I did receive the item and the delivery times were sort of accurate - from first order on 9th Feb to delivery on 6th March. However, I certainly wouldn't use them again.

I should have read the reviews! I was taken in with the amazing lights and website. I have parted with £1450. No lights have arrived order placed 4 weeks ago.Totally non responsive to emails. I did have some hope that has now faded.

I ordered £200 lights. We decided to return these and although the company (eventually ) agreed to this, once we had posted them to the UK address that they gave us we waited 3 weeks for a refund that only appeared a day after we had instituted a complaint through PayPal. The company is based in China so we would have had no further options to pursue. Communication is very unreliable. I would not use again

Thieves! I paid £195 two months ago and so far haven’t received my order and no hope for a refund. They reply to my emails once a week with questions like “ you still want your order?” Etc.

Ordered two wooden ceiling lamp shades. The ones delivered are a very cheap version of those detailed on the website which we had ordered. They took a long time to arrive from China, even though they said they were in stock and ready to dispatch when ordered. Different colour, thin cheap wood that is already distorted and no fine detail as shown on the website, I’ve been well and truly conned! Waiting to hear back as to a refund, doesn’t look very promising ☹️.
*Update: I was offered 20% refund, told them 40% or them to pay for return carriage. Had a quick response that they had refunded 40% onto my PayPal account, not ideal but better than nothing! So if caught out by this company push for what you want!

I have lodged a dispute with MasterCard over this company and the money they took from me, although there is no guarantee of getting my money back. I suggest you do the same if you have been unlucky enough to purchase something from them.
Things you should know before using this company: 1. They are not a UK company, they use a UK email address that is automatically forwarded to a global shopifyemail email address. Just reply to your Demolights email address to see for yourself. They are based in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. 2. You will not receive your order in 24 hours, in fact you may not receive it at all. If you do, it will be a cheap copy of what you were expecting. If you ask for a full refund, they will offer you a very small discount, and go radio silent when you refuse and ask for your money back. 3. The company that takes your money is Anmaya Trading LLC, which if you look it up, does not exist. 4. Demolights UK also operate as Zapaka UK, a dress/ballgown manufacturing company claiming to be in the UK but based in China, with very similar reviews on Trustpilot as Demolights UK. Look it up. 5. There are no direct contact telephone numbers for these companies, just 'info' or 'support' email addresses. Do not make the same mistake I did, this is a huge scam.

They are a fake website, they never send any order email confirmation, ordered a chandelier, received 2 cheap ventilators, after contacting them, no reply, nothing..200£ lost.. They are a big scam, shipping from China, Temu quality products, not sure how to report the domain to some authority

Lights were good but could not reach customer support to fix a quality issue we had with one of them
