Having used DD for some time now I am pleased to report that he has just set up a new system for me with Windows 11. He is always polite and efficient and I am grateful for his patience as I think of extra things I need done. I use my PC everyday as I run a community, (closed group) Facebook page with 4.5k members which needs constant attention. I do posters for many people using Publisher and monthly Newsletters for WI, Garden Club etc., so although not a business my PC is a necessary part of my life, so their efficient professional support is greatly appreciated.

Efficient and pleasant. Completed job satisfactorily for reasonable price.

REPLY 2: Desperation much? At least my reviews are genuine, and sadly, yes, there are many, many bad practices like yours about, dragging this Country's standards to its knees. Clearly you don't like your entirely inappropriate behaviour being exposed. Interesting that you seem to have the time to respond within minutes to this review but several days to a job enquiry. Just seriously go away.

REPLY: Okay, here is the TRUE timeline. After a lot of unnecessary back and forths when I had made it clear from the start that I was looking for a home visit, you took 6 days to respond to say whether you would do it or not. You were then distinctly unavailable but I suggested a date and you failed to get back to me.. I had to chase you to see if you wanted the work or not. When you did finally reply it was no longer possible for the day in question, so clearly, we had nothing booked. I was polite and respectful the entire time despite the obviously frustrating situation with both Apple and your poor communication. You were condescending, arrogant and rude in your latest replies. Repeating the same thing over and over I'm afraid doesn't make it right. The simple matter is, there are unwanted, unnecessary files on my hard drive which CAN cause problems!.. and I want them removed. The issue here I think is that you are incapable of doing it. But your attitude and shockingly poor communication was what led me to leave this review. I seriously hope it saves some other poor soul all this additional stress and wasted time!

That has made me question whether the glowing reviews have been manipulated..? Dreadful communication and kept repeating over and over again he wouldn't help remove potentially problematic old files which could be causing the device to overheat, due to fears of removing important files the operating system is reliant on, despite explaining over and over again that they are residual files specifically and solely to do with external, old antivirus software. Rather than listen and appreciate he has got it wrong he keeps bleating on about the same thing and about how much experience he has. It has hands down been the strangest experience with so-called IT support in my life. I have absolutely no confidence whatsoever in an IT service that can't even grasp a most straightforward situation such as wanting to remove clearly unnecessary, external files. A colossal waste of time.

Solved my problem with little fuss

Helpful guys nearly but not quite resolved transferring some short iPhone video clips to play on a memory stick with holiday photos.

I needed a refurbished laptop.
This was ordered as soon as payment was made, and brought round and installed within a few days. Helpful advice was given, and the firm was very pleasant and reliable to deal with. Would certainly use them again.

Even though it was evening when I sent a query regarding a non responsive hard drive, I got a reply within an hour.

I was kept informed throughout the process.
I thought the data would be lost or expensive to recover, but although it took time to copy the data to another drive, the cost was lower than others were advertising just to assess the situation.
