The website is clear and well laid out. It will be good when the Designer section is available again after maintenance. The Designer page is a really good idea to try out different styles and options.

I ordered an exterior door from Dave's Doors which - on delivery - turned out to be from Howdens and even came in the Howdens packaging and was delivered from the local Howdens depot. On making some enquiries, it turned out that the door would have cost 40% less had I ordered it from Howdens directly - provided I had wanted a Howdens door in the first place. I emailed Dave's Doors about this and consequently received a phone call from an employee (with 'no caller id'). I explained that including the delivery fee I had paid £180 more than the door actually cost and that I felt this was way over any "normal" profit margin. Moreover, nowhere on the website is it mentioned that the door would be supplied by Howdens. I was then told that I was a 'special case' since I knew the Howdens prices, but a 'normal' customer wouldn't and therefore would have no idea (and not care) about how much the door really cost. I told him that this was outrageous and that it should be made clear who the supplier is. At this point he literally laughed at me over the phone. Whilst I will be sending the door back, I am still left out of pocket due to the delivery fee as well as the costs of returning it. Dave's Doors is one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure to deal with - rude, condescending, and I feel deceitful.

I had a new back door fitted-excellent quality!!
After just 1 month I then had a new front door also.....again superb quality door......
Dave was very patient with me over selecting which front door I wanted ..........did'nt even appear to mind when i changed my mind twice over the design - I did alot of shopping around for my doors and had numerous quotes however Daves price was the best

Not something i have thought about ordering online before but chose my back door on the website, placed my order during the Christmas holidays and it arrived this week. Great service, easy to use website, 5 stars.

I am really happy with the quality of the door and the door was manufactured and dispatched pretty quickly. The design is perfect and I will definitely be back to Daves Doors as I love their simple, classic designs.

Bad service and poor products. Bought 4 engineered pine doors, one of which delaminated when painted. I requested an exchange, but my emails and phone calls went ignored for 2 weeks, despite several attempts. I finally got an email saying I could ask my builder to reactivate the glue - that was the only response I got. My builder said the door was badly made and improperly glued as it was showing signs of delamination in 4 places. The door was stored in its original plastic in the house, so it was never subjected to any dampness. Dave's Doors only response was to ignore the matter.

We had a bespoke front door made as our opening size did not match any of the standard sizes. We are very happy with the finished door and over all experience. Our door looks just as we designed it. Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt refund. I had to cancel my order for a new door, my builder had already bought one but didn’t tell me. Paying for two doors in the same month on my pension was a worry, so you’ve saved me from some embarrassment

Beautiful solidly built oak front door, I was expecting lower quality as this was the lowest price I found for this door anywhere online.
Answered my email request quickly on sizing and a second email on delivery options, my neighbour took receipt of my door and there were no issues. I’ll happily buy my next front door in 50 years from Dave when this one wears out ;-)

Is it possible to fall in love with a front door? Well, I have. The most beautiful door was delivered, undamaged, from a long distance to my house. It has been painted and fitted and it is fantastic quality and value for money. Moreover, Dave's Doors accommodated my inability to take delivery of my door for almost six months! I had delays on the refurbishments but Dave's Doors did not put me under any pressure at all. A really amazing company.

I spent several hours online trying to source the special moulded doors we required to match up with those already in our new house. Dave's Doors were the only supplier I could find and I ordered three (two solid and one part glazed). The doors were delivered within 10 days. They ayre now in place and look great. Very pleased with my experience with Dave's Doors.
