We fell for the high pressure sales job…
We fell for the high pressure sales job and promise of refund if we changed our minds. Sent them 2 payments and told them we were not sure yet. When we decided to pursue other countries, the promise of refund disappeared and they told us we were in error. Not a good experience, very high pressure and persistent sales people that keep changing so you do not know who you are working with.
CUIN has replied to this review that it depended on how much work was accomplished for a refund. In our case, no work was done beyond a few phone calls (unless they bill $100s of dollars a minute for those). The answer from the analyst when we asked for a refund was "The only circumstance under which a refund may be issued is if your application is officially refused by the government due to factors beyond your control." Since we had not made an application, a refusal by the government should not have been a consideration; so the original review stands.

CUIN Immigration strives to ensure that clients fully understand the process, associated costs, and service terms before proceeding. While our team does follow up to provide information and answer questions, we regret if this felt overly persistent or created discomfort. That is certainly not our intention.
Regarding refunds, these depend on the stage of the service and the work that has already been completed. Refunds are assessed in accordance with our published service agreement, and once professional services have begun or work has been performed, a full refund may no longer be applicable. We regret any misunderstanding regarding this.
We also understand your concern about interacting with multiple team members. Our process involves different specialists at various stages to ensure accurate guidance and timely support, though we recognize this can sometimes feel confusing.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like yours helps us continue improving our communication and overall client experience.

Could do more up front to ensure appl doesn't feel like a scam
Direct and complete. It would have been helpful to have some pre-information or overview about the CA immigration process - which I searched separately and independently before paying. Until doing this - I was concerned the contact from CUIN was just a well organized scam given that I was about to supply funds and private information. I found CUIN in on the level.

Dangerous practices
The legal support department contacted me by email, asking me to send a copy of my ID over unencrypted email. This is a severe security violation of NIST 800-171.
After response:
Under no circumstances should any business ever request PII documents via unsecured email. No person should ever supply PII over unsecured email. CUIN twice solicited PII over unsecured means with no mention or offer of secure transfer. Not acceptable. In the United States, this constitutes a loss of control of information under the US Privacy Act of 1974.
NOTE: this has been flagged as defamatory. Each statement in this review is purely factual. Please refer to the legal documents referenced. Trustpilot also sent an email that is supposed to contain a link to a form to contest the flag - but there is no actual link in the email.

First, regarding document submission: while many clients initially send documents by email for convenience, CUIN Immigration also provides secure methods for document sharing upon request. We understand that security standards are important, and if this was not clearly communicated to you at the time, we sincerely apologize for any discomfort this caused. We are continuously reviewing our procedures to ensure best practices are followed and clearly explained to all clients.
Second, with respect to licensing: under Canadian law, only a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) may provide immigration advice or represent clients before IRCC. At CUIN Immigration, all legal immigration services and advice are provided exclusively through our licensed RCIC:

Other team members, including client support coordinators or case managers (such as those you mentioned), are not immigration consultants and do not provide legal advice. Their role is administrative and supportive only, which is fully permitted under Canadian regulations. The assignment of a support representative does not imply that they are acting as, or replacing, an RCIC.
We respectfully disagree with the characterization of our operations as dangerous or improperly licensed. CUIN Immigration operates within Canadian regulatory requirements, and our licensing credentials are publicly verifiable through the official CICC register.
That said, we regret that your experience raised concerns rather than confidence. If you would like to discuss secure document submission options, clarify staff roles further, or review your file directly with our licensed consultant, our management team would be happy to assist.

Ask us for information which we gave to photocopy of our passport our résumé and gave them $275 and we never heard from them again so I turned them into my bank and I got my $275 back. I don’t know what your problem is, but I called him probably 10 times all the numbers they had and nobody answered. All I got was music.
