Massive underhand ‘tip’ leaves a bad taste
Paid £50 to a local charity. Bank statement for £60. £10 of this is for a tip apparently. I did not opt in or approve this. Underhand and leaves a bad taste. Will not be donating again through this site.

Ridiculous voluntary contribution
The default setting for contribution to crowdfunder was set at £5 which on a donation of £25 was ridiculously high. Thought I had cancelled mid donation and restarted. So now a £25 donation has risen to £55. Really feel scammed.
Their response (below) misses the point completely. The User Experience is designed so that the user clicks through and as my review says there is no way you can abort the transaction even if it wasnt complete.
Am I going to contact them about getting £5 back, clearly not. Are these voluntary donations reducing costs for charities, I doubt it very much. Perhaps they could include their profit for last year in their response.

Check the tip doesn't reset
Every time I've donated recently through the mobile site, the page will do this little glitch as I'm entering my payment details and address and reset the tip level, after I'd reduced it from the recommended tip level. Every time. It feels very convenient. Always check, I got caught out last time and paid a ridiculous tip I hadn't intended to.

I do not like how this app interacts with my banking app. I will not be using this app to donate to causes. EDIT, post CF reply: 1] Please note I didn't have an issue with my banking app. just with how CF works. 2] I'm an erstwhile ITer from a Blue Chip company.

The percentage you take for a charity found raise just to used your platform is very unbelievable. Someone paid it £105 you deducted almost £25.
