Watch out for water...
Normally competent, but far less accommodating in the light of the serious water shortages East of Chania in particular.
You will be bombarded with dos and dont's and instructions as to how to behave in their villas, but the same level of diligence doesn't appear to apply to them - somewhat sloppy upkeep and repair. In particular, you will receive instructions on how to ration water and they will go out of their way to avoid providing you with a water refill when the mains supply is interrupted for days or weeks (which can occur, despite their assurances to the contrary) - refill deliveries by truck are expensive you see, so you're expected to skimp and save so the poor owners won't be out of pocket.
