The latest delivery I have ever axperienced
I paid nearly $8000 for a louvre pergola in February. The latest update is that it wont arrive until December 19th, and I have absolutely no confidence that this will happen.i wish i had never dealt with this company. Never again!

Not a business I would be going near again. Ordered the Lux Lourve in Nov 24 and full payment was made. Nearly Nov 25, no product with no ETA and now left with trying to get a refund!

Took our money (over $7000) in May 2025. In September 2025 emailed us to advise a 2 month delay (only a fortnight earlier we were in their showroom and checked delivery date and was told everything was on track). We were concerned, so we checked online and found many others who were experiencing delays, and many were onto their third notification of delay! So it was clear to us we were mis-lead when we were in the showroom. We lawfully requested a refund as the delay was long enough to trigger the out clause. Then we were advised that it takes them 15 working days to process our refund (to give us back our money which they have held all this time)! Then guess what..... 15 days passed and still no refund.

So far it is not going good. Container Door promises goods but I have just received confirmation that it has been delayed for the second time. The goods were earmarked to be in NZ by mid August 2025, then pushed out till the end of September and I've just been informed it has been pushed out to late October. Who knows when it will arrive and I'm not holding my breath. Totally unacceptable. I see others have made complaints about their products so I'm just hoping when the product arrives it will be what was advertised. Think hard about using this company and make sure you have months to spare until needing it.

they will have your money during this whole process not just deposit but full money and you just wait for the product arrive or some delay update from them.

Pergola Sides, still waiting for product
I ordered sides for our Pergola late last year. So far it’s been delayed 3 times and no explanation.
They have now had my $ for 9 months and no product. One more delay and I will be demanding a refund.
It’s unethical and I will never buy off them again.
Frustrating Delays and Unethical Practices – Still Waiting for Refund
We have experienced significant delays with one of our orders, which has been postponed four times over several months. When I called customer service, they informed me that for orders delayed over 30 days, we could request a refund. We did so, and were told the refund would take 3-5 days. However, it has now been 10 days and we still haven't received the payment.
We also got another notification that a different order has been delayed by another three months. The staff couldn't even confirm the new delivery date. It feels like their business model is to take full payment without delivering products for months, using customers as an interest-free bank. I don't think this is ethical and won't be ordering from them again. We're still waiting for our refund and hoping it comes through soon. Very disappointed.

BOTH (2024 and 2025) pergola and accessory orders I made have taken TWICE as long to come than advertised.
Then they don't bother to inform you about it until about the day before it should be sitting in your driveway. Then tell you that's how it works, and it's out of their control. Last time, it hadn't even been MADE, and they didn't know in advance!!!
Make sure you don't orgainse contractors until it's ON your driveway, because it will another four months from whenever they say!
Then getting a partial credit from them takes about as long, when they even bother to reply.
Conflicting information on delivery…
Conflicting information on delivery which got delayed three times because 1) the containers were delivered to Tauranga which they did not expect 2) too many containers arrived at once and would take two weeks to process (did not not expect that?) and then 3) the container had not arrived with my product.
After I paid in January, next month they offered the chairs half price which I complained about and did get a refund. I now have a refund but am mad - all summer no outdoor chairs as I believed they would delivery when they said they would. It sounds like they have no idea of logistics. I could have bought the same chairs at Mitre 10 two months ago and enjoyed them. NEVER AGAIN.

Orders are delayed. Poor communication service. Been trying to call the store for any updates but the phone just kept on ringing. Would understand if the line is busy but it was not. No way of getting updates. Not a good experience as a first time buyer. Would not consider buying from the store again. Disappointing!

Purchased a pergola off Container Door, 6-7 louvres were a different shape so that section didn’t close correctly, after emails to get replacements sent my builder removed the louvres and had them reshaped to fit, we then received an email offering to replace the louvres, buggar! I was out of pocket for several hundred dollars that it took to fix the problem. Have contacted Container Door for some form of compensation, to their credit they came back offering replacement louvres and reimbursement of my builders cost which was awesome. The product is great value and now looks great, 25% cheaper than anyone else 👍

Cant rate lower than 1 star otherwise i would. Bought a louvre system and pergola drop down in Dec 2023, supposed to be delivered March 2024 and have had 3 delay notices, now meaning the order may or may not be here in AUGUST!!
For the savings they claim, it's not worth the hassle when you can purchase in country/locally for an extra 10-15%.

Products good BUT ripped off by delivery charges
Products I purchased are good BUT my purchase included 3 products in 1 order from the buy now category. This was processed as 3 separate orders & 2 were charged over $21.00 delivery & the 3rd at 17.70 = $59.85 - but only 1 delivery charge appeared when completing the total order. I've had no response to several emails & they put 2 sets of items in 1 box, reducing their own delivery costs, with no refund of the excessive delivery costs they charged and still no response to emails. Resulting in an expensive transaction for me & some money for nothing for them. I will not buy from container door again. Reading Container Door response below, they have NEVER responded to my emails and have NEVER refunded any money for this very excessive delivery charge. Their response is not the truth.🤨🤬

DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT
Ordered an item. Sale was complete and credit card charged for $2245. Then received an email from their Customer Service Team Leader stating they had made a mistake with the price and I could either pay $1154 more or get a refund.
Blatant breach of the Fair Trading Act. Fradulent and dishonest company. I will be seeking legal action against them.
Under the FTA, a trader cannot ask the customer to pay more unless the customer knew before the sale was complete that the price was incorrect or the price was clearly a mistake (example from CAB is a decimal place or missing zero).
Edit: Based on your response, I see you do not understand the FTA. You completed the sale by charging card. You did not advise me of the incorrect price before the completion of the sale and the price was not clearly a mistake. The cause of the error does not matter, that is an issue for you to fix internally.
