Avoid this place at all costs! It’s literally a mess. A friend of mine has recently had his money stolen from his room, and when he asked the manager to check the security cameras available, he snubbed him and rudely refused to do so. Honestly, it seems like he’s a co-conspirator in this robbery.
The only thing this place, its manager, and the staff working here deserve is an urgent prosecution!
I am writing this review with a mixture of disbelief and anger stemming from my recent encounter with Crown Place. The distressing incident of unauthorized access to rooms, swiftly followed by a theft, has evoked an intense sense of insecurity. It's shocking to learn that one of their staff had casually entered a nearby room before the theft occurred. This revelation not only magnifies the gravity of the situation but also exemplifies the management's utter disregard for residents' security.
The management's response to this appalling occurrence has been nothing short of disgraceful. Their negligence and lack of urgency in addressing the incident have left me deeply disappointed, frustrated, and questioning the very commitment they should have to ensure resident safety. It's beyond comprehension that such a serious breach of security would be met with such indifference.
I feel compelled to warn others against staying at Crown Place if they hold any value for their personal belongings and safety. My friends who are planning to study in Norwich after me deserve far better treatment than what I have experienced. To think that the management has failed to fulfill their basic responsibility of safeguarding rooms from unauthorized access is utterly infuriating.
In sum, my stay at Crown Place has been marred by this incident and the subsequent inadequate response. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice unless they're willing to compromise their belongings and peace of mind. The management's ignorant and lackadaisical approach is a clear indicator of their priorities, and unfortunately, those priorities do not include residents' well-being.

800 usd were stolen from my friend by a worker that works there, when confronted, they were rude, impolite and basically told to go f* myself.
They are saying now that they are coaperating with the police, but they are simply lying. If you don't mind having your money stolen, go there.
Literally I WAS ROBBED by one of the workers here !!!, and it's confirmed by security cameras. When I asked the manager, Adam,why my room was entred without my premission!!?? and to return my stolen money by his staff member back, he was really rude and said it wouldn't happen !! And he told me clearly that anyone has the right to enter your room!!!. Honestly, the rudeness here seems to be a normal thing.
It's like being surrounded by a A group of THIEVES running the place.!!
I warn anyone who wants to stayhere NEVER TO DO SO!!. This is the most unsafe place in all of Norwich!!!. If you care about your money or anything valuable such as a passport, mobile phone or laptop, anything can be stolen here by the people working in the place themselves.!!!!!

Don't stay at a collegiate property if you can avoid it. I am a guarantor for a student who has lived at Nottingham 2022-23. Their experience at Nottingham was of no heating or hot water for two weeks in the coldest part of January 2023. They will ignore official complaints. Once they have your money, they will ignore you.
My review has two parts. The first part covers the general issues faced by everyone staying in Corporation Village, while the second part covers the problems I personally encountered. I strongly suggest reading the entire review before deciding to stay in Corporation Village, and if necessary, all the evidence is available.
When I moved in March 2022, the system and facilities were quite nice. We were provided with play stations, kitchen accessories, and mail service. However, as of mid-2023, none of these amenities are available. The playstation has been taken away, most of the kitchen items like blenders have been removed, and the mail service has deteriorated significantly. Previously, a staff member from the reception would deliver letters to individual rooms and provide a notification slip for parcels. Now, parcels and letters are left at the reception, making it difficult to know if any mail has arrived. The letters are stored in a large box with hundreds of other mails, making it time-consuming to locate your own letter.
Another issue you will face is with the Hoover (vacuum cleaner). If you decide to clean your room, be aware that the management only has one or two working Hoovers for three buildings in total. This means you may have to wait weeks to get one.
Previously, there used to be staff available at the reception to assist with problems, even during the night. However, nowadays, I rarely see anyone at the reception. If you happen to lock yourself out of your room, you would have to plead with the guards, endure their rudeness, and wait for 30-60 minutes until they arrive with a master key. Their behavior is consistently impolite.
The second part of my review concerns the issues with my own room and the poor management support and services. I moved into my new room on September 10th, which is located on the top floor. Initially, there were minor issues, such as a non-functioning light outside, a border near my door that came off, affecting my privacy, and some burned marks on the carpet. I reported these issues to the management, who instructed me to fill out a form for maintenance. Unfortunately, after nine months, these minor issues remain unresolved.
The main issue began in mid-January when cracks started to appear on my room's ceiling directly above my bed. Initially, small pieces of concrete fell on my face while I was asleep. I promptly informed the manager, but no action was taken. After two weeks, the crack grew larger, and rainwater started to seep through. Again, I reported this to the manager, Mr. Chris, but no action was taken.
Due to my busy schedule with studies, I couldn't follow up on the issue. Eventually, the manager was changed, and I informed the new manager, Mrs. Cindy, about the ongoing problem. She made several visits to my room with different agents to assess and fix the crack. On March 8th, she offered me an alternative room until the repairs were completed. When I inquired with the receptionist about the duration of the room switch, as I had to plan for shifting, I was informed it would only be around 10 days until the 18th, as the agents had estimated the repairs to be finished by then. I agreed to wait if that was the case.
However, the 18th passed, and the issue remained unresolved. Mrs. Cindy visited my room multiple times to assess the crack but only provided a date of April 6th via email for the repair. Since I had exams and had to return home immediately afterward, I didn't pursue the matter further. Now it's May 18th, and the crack has only grown bigger. Furthermore, there is no longer a manager at the Corporation Village reception as Mrs. Cindy has also left.
I mailed this issue through email and have been waiting for a response for over a month, but I haven't received anything. Additionally, I took this issue to the general manager, who assured me that he would look into it and inform me, but it has been three weeks now and I haven't heard back from him either.
I applied to live in the Nottingham building soon after applying, to secure a place. A £100 deposit was taken from me which was supposed to be returned (that’s the purpose of a deposit after all). A couple of months later I became unable to take up residence in my room because of family issues that prevented me from leaving which was a blow. Further I emailed nova and received zero response for over a year. Yesterday they emailed saying they would be keeping my deposit (that is supposed to be conditional or my staying there). It’s almost like they take advantage and it’s extremely underhanded and disheartening to see a company who targets students and shows a complete disregard for them.

Sucks they take advantage of the students and the employees are very rude and uncaring…. I will never use these crooks again…. EVER they wouldn’t renew the lease but still charged for the renewal 1900 dollars and was told that we couldn’t renew the lease even after they charged all around bad bad bad it’s better to just rent on ur own screw this company… and they reply like they gonna make it right I just hope that the ressesion hits y’all the hardest I hope y’all the first company to shut down and Loose jobs

My student tenancy agreement at Bagot Street was from 07/08/2021 – 23/07/2022. I often commuted between Birmingham and my home town to attend part time work whilst also studying at Birmingham University.
I returned to my accommodation on the 22/07/2022 late evening to clear out my room and hand in my keys but was shocked to find another tenant in my room (a man) and all my belongings had gone. He informed me he had moved in 3 days previous.
Not only was this a breach of contract but this was also theft of my belongings.
I put in a complaint on the 02/08/2022 and have had to continuously chase an outcome. I did get a few responses from the head of operations saying my complaint is being investigated but am now being ignored with no explanation or closure.
I feel I have been treated very unfairly and not listened to just because I’m a student.
Disgraceful customer service for this company. My partner and I lived intermittently with cockroaches for over a year. They have refused to give us compensation, even though they have told us we were NOT the root cause. Had to keep going back to family home due to feeling uncomfortable. Now being ignored via emails to the complaint team. (July 2021-August 2022).
Collegiate requested a £100 "REFUNDABLE" deposit when booking an apartment which we were said will be refunded in case we do not want to proceed after seeing the studio. I have called more than 3 times and still have not been able to get the refund.
This is a SCAM ! Please dont do this with students !
Did not inform me one of their property (800 Bristol Road, Birmingham) would be handed over to another company well in advance. That made me paying them my deposit and reservation fee. Refused to give me back the money, claiming that the money had been transferred to the new company but could not provide the transfer record when I asked for it.

My friends felt very helpless and the management are helpless and cold! They have stayed this place for 3 years and the management give the room and floor is getting bad to worst.They have complaint to the front desk that we can change other room.NOTHING IS NONE.E-mail came but no reply after weeks. They pay full year fee! There is so many available room in block C and B. They don't want let you move.The very dirty kitchen and broken items are done by previous students.The staff said is done by us and we?! what is this! They tried to do the cleaning but some items are broken unable to clean and fix! We come to stay here and pay our parents hardearn money! Why must we suffer management staffs who did not care! The previous years are great now is bad to worst! Management please read this! Student don't rent here for now,you will regret!
There's no email for their company and I made a reservation payment ( i haven't accepted the tenancy agreement yet) , I don't know how to get it back and I really want to contact someone without having to call them up , I've messaged them on facebook but no response yet . Theres no way to cancel it on the portal either

The worst accommodation providers. They lied continuously about what services and facilities they offer, my bed was broken for months on arrival as well as a blocked shower drain which I reported several times. Staff were very unhelpful, dismissive and passive aggressive and to top it off I am yet to receive my deposit back that has been owed to me since early September 2021 and it is now November 12th. Disgusting.

Ashley from Clarendon street has been really helpful during my move in period as he made the process of moving in very smooth and comfortable and been a real support with any issues that I face making me feel right at home.
I have been CHASING a refund for almost 1 month now for a security deposit I had put down for my brothers university accommodation . I cancelled it with in the 15 days. They don’t reply to your emails, they have poor communication with customers and their colleagues. I had spoken to them between the 20th-27th September for the refund which I was told that the payment has been processed.
I finally received an official email on the 30th September that my payment would be processed with 10 working days. I was still mad but I thought it’s fine I have an official written confirmation. The days are up now I call them up again and the manager tells me that it didn’t get escalated to the finance department until the 6TH OCTOBER???
I’m so happy that I didn’t go ahead booking an accommodation with them as I’m certain I would’ve been extremely depressed. brothers friend states that accommodation doesn’t equate with the amount of money they have to pay.
As I’m writing I’m still waiting on my refund.
