Fantastic vacation. Well organized trip with visits to historical and cultural sights. Tour leaders were locals who gave special insight to each place we visited. They were flexible and always focused on the needs of each individual. Food and accommodations were tops. Highly recommend Classic Journeys

My sister and I recently returned from a journey we will never forget, thanks to Classic Journeys. Our adventure through the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park was nothing short of spectacular. The natural beauty of each location left us breathless, and every day brought a new “wow” moment.

Classic Journeys didn’t just plan a trip—they curated an experience. Our accommodations were the perfect blend of rustic charm and luxury, providing exactly the kind of rest and comfort we needed after full days of hiking and exploration. The meals throughout the trip were consistently 5-star, with each one feeling like a reward for the day's adventures.

But the true standout of the trip was our incredible guide, Jeanelle. Her knowledge was astounding—there wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer. She anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them, and she handled every detail with such grace and ease that we were free to simply enjoy the journey. Jeanelle made our great trip into an unforgettable one.

It started off really disappointing with no power on the North rim. Cabins very disappointing really old considering what we paid for the trip. Luckily Janelle turned it around working behind the scenes and getting us out of there. It felt like the trip really started on the second day! After that we had a great time. The second lodge was much better!

What a fun and well organized tour! Our Tuscany and Cinque Terre journey had wonderful guides, great accommodations and of course, there is the scenery. Our group was well suited and very fun. We made some friends and got to sit back and relax. I would highly recommend this tour and company.

Our guides Margaret and Norma really made the trip come alive with their combined knowledge of the area, their humor and enthusiasm. Accommodations were very comfortable, meals big and rich, and our driver, Tony certainly knew his way around the roads with an understated humor.

The guides were outstanding! Also loved that I didn’t have to worry about luggage or logistics or anything like that.

Ulysses was terrific and the hotels were spectacular. My only negative comment is regarding timing. Two hours on our own, followed by a long walk, seemed excessive. I would prefer most activity early in the day and (if appropriate) the independent time later. We certainly got used to the schedule, though, and it didn't reduce the number of stars.

Everything that was explained in the brochure and prior to leaving with the US-based team was accurate. Everyone that we met by phone and in person were caring, warm. knowledgable and friendly.

It was a great trip. But the itinerary had changed since I had originally signed up so a few things were missing. I realized that this could happen, and thoroughly enjoyed the guide and his cohorts. All the sights that we went to were fun and unique and the accommodations were all top drawer.

The country was beautiful, dynamic and almost "other worldly, but I wish we could have seen a little more of it. That being said, there is nothing on the trip I would want to give up so I guess I will just need to go back and stay longer. The people on the trip were amazing and we had such incredible bonding experiences.
We did have a bit of a scare the day one of the ladies in our group fell from her horse and left in an ambulance with a fractured pelvis. That is always a risk you take, but it a rocky way to begin the week. (Especially for her!)

I love Biology, animals, evolution etc., and I'd thought about what it would be like to experience the Galapagos Islands after all I'd read about them over my life.
'Classic Journeys' took me exactly where I wanted to be. The Guides were very knowledgeable and made an effort to make sure everyone on the trip got individual attention towards making it a profound personal experience. The accommodations and food were top shelf. I give the trip an A++ rating. Very memorable!

We had a wonderful experience. Our tour guides, Ulisse and Sergio were excellent. We learned so much from them. The accommodations were excellent. The cave hotel was beautiful, great food, well appointed rooms, etc. but smelled musty and this was bothersome by the second night. Our meals everywhere were excellent and we loved participating in the meal prep at the cheese farm. The hikes were beautiful and not too difficult. The choice of cities on the tour was great. Our only disappointment was that, for the price of the tour, transfers were not included. Our cost to taxi from Brinidisi to Lecce was 80 Euros. The cost to return (which was arranged by the hotel) was 120 Euros. That aside, we had a fabulous experience and I absolutely would recommend Classic Journeys and hope to travel with them again.

My husband and I toured Scotland with this company. There were 17 in our group. The literature states average group size is <10. We had one bus rather than 2 small vans. The guides were excellent, but 2 of the 3 hotels provided rooms that were old and run down. The tour cancelled a trip to the textile factory the night before it was to occur with no notice to travellers. The sheepherding demo was poor. Then the boat trip to view puffins was cancelled. We have travelled with several other tour groups such as Wilderness Travel, World Affairs, Backroads. This tour company IS NOT COMPARABLE to them!

Wonderful cultural experience. We spent a lot of time with local people - having tea and bread (their custom) and learning about how they live. Morocco is a beautiful country and we got to see a lot of it. Cities, farms, mountains, desert. Our guide was fantastic. Very accomodating and paid attention to what we were interested in seeing/learning about on the trip.

Our guides were excellent. They were very knowledgeable about the canyons we visited, they were responsive to the needs of the participants, they prepared us well for our activities of the day, they took good care of people who needed help, and the lodging was excellent. I have never been to a place more beautiful than the canyons we visited--maybe they were the most beautiful places I have been, or at least tied for first. I cannot think of anything negative to say about them!

I loved the experience. The guide - Perri - was terrific. The trip was a nice mix of different adventures ... puffins on the Isle of May, a walk on the Old Course at St. Andrews, a visit with a working shepherd and his border collies, high tea in Edinburgh, a boat ride on Loch Ness, and lots of gorgeous walks.

We had a terrific time on Classic Journeys tour of Puglia. The route included some great walks, beautiful towns and local interactions. Hotels and food were perfect. Our leader Alessandro and driver Enzo were exceptional. They were engaging, flexible and adaptable. We will go again.
