lack of communication
I am writing to express our disappointment with the level of service we have received in relation to the supply of the two fire extinguisher cabinets for the Private Hospital project.
The order was placed with Checkpoint on 31 July 2026, following the recommendation that we use Checkpoint or an equivalent supplier for these architectural fire extinguisher cabinets.
After waiting over two months, the cabinets were finally delivered to site on Saturday, 3 October. Unfortunately, upon unpacking and inspecting the cabinets, we identified the following issues:
• One of the cabinets has arrived damaged, including damage to the cabinet/door finish.
• Neither cabinet has been supplied with the specified D-handles shown in the approved/expected configuration.
• The packaging itself also showed signs of damage on arrival.
We attempted to contact you directly following delivery and forwarded photographs showing the condition of the cabinets and the missing handles. To date, we have not received a response or acknowledgement from Checkpoint.
This is particularly disappointing given the extended lead time associated with this order and the fact that these cabinets are required to complete our works and close out the project.
We now require Checkpoint to urgently confirm:
1. How the damaged cabinet will be rectified or replaced.
2. When the correct D-handles will be supplied for both cabinets.
3. The timeframe for completing these rectification works.
Given the time already elapsed since the order was placed, we would appreciate this being treated as a priority and request a response today confirming the proposed resolution and delivery timeframe.
