Difficult to schedule VIP experience
I have been trying to get a VIP experience to see a live taping of The View scheduled for almost 2 months and it still is not scheduled. Emails either go unanswered (until I have to follow up) or are very slow. I also utilized their "Contact" form on their website to post a complaint. No response thus far. I will most likely end up disputing this charge with my CC company because I have zero confidence in Charity Buzz at this point. Keep in mind that there is an expiration date on these experiences so with each month that passes by without getting this scheduled, the higher risk of me not being able to utilize the experience. Not a good look for a first time customer!

Uses SB’s “Shill Bidders”
Uses SB’s (auction industry terminology for “Shill Bidders” - please google search
“Shill Bidders”) So Trust Pilot asked me to be more specific and some details.
So look. Okay so they don’t use fake bidders all the time. Like not every single auction. That’s a no brainer. That would be too obvious right? But they use them when they feel they can. Like about maybe in about a quarter or a third or so of their auctions especially when it’s a big one.
So I read about fake bidders and how to look for all the signs that that’s what’s been going on here and there when they think they can do it and not be too obvious about it.
So just read up on shill bidders and fake bidders and know what signs to look for and what to watch out for in some situations.
It really will help.

I haven’t ever participated in a charity auction that charged the bidder a “buyer’s premium” (20%?). This seems like an auction looking for a reason to be called a charity.

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. The last few minutes of an auction can be really exciting, and people will often jump in to bid right before something closes. While extended bidding isn't triggered at the end of every auction, we have this feature to ensure that nobody swoops in at the last second, and to allow for competing bidders to stay in the race. Any bid placed within the last 10 minutes of an auction will extend the close time by an additional 10 minutes. As long as people keep bidding, the time keeps being extended in 10 minute increments.
