Six Months of Rodent Infestation – No Real Resolution

We’ve endured six months of rodent infestation in a property managed by The Chant Group, and the experience has been appalling.

Despite countless emails, pest control reports, and even rodents getting into our bedroom and personal belongings, the issue was never taken seriously. Instead of acting on clear professional advice for structural proofing, we were sent a handyman who carried out poor patch-up work — which pest control later confirmed was inadequate.

The problem has repeatedly been downplayed, communication has been inconsistent, and there's been no meaningful accountability or urgency. We’ve had to throw away contaminated items, constantly disinfect our home, and live with stress and disruption for half a year.

For a premium rent, this level of mismanagement is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to think twice before renting a property managed by The Chant Group.

My experience with Jack and the whole Chant group was very positive all around. We did have some hiccups on our side of the process but at the end we managed to get through it all and moved on to the apartment in a very short period of time. Jack was very helpful and provided assistance whenever we needed. He always picked up our calls and replied to our messages even if it was a Sunday evening just to give an example. When I came to the offices of Chant, everyone was very polite and helpful which made the overall experience so much more pleasant. Overall, I can highly recommend Jack and the whole of Chant group to my friends and family as they made my life so much more easier with finding and getting an apartment. Hoping to get in contact again soon!

They are not paying the deposit back and they are scammers. It is illegal what they do. Dont trust them.

Leah was truly exceptional in helping me to prepare & organise my property for rental.
She was always on time for our appointments and I found her advice to be invaluable.

didnt check basic identification when trying to sell the house cost us and seller lots of time and money - in response to below there was not a power of attorney in place and you did not do the relevant checks of the two people who owned the property - when we bought it we knew it was both and you did not do these checks - so please do not insult everyone's intelligence who would read this and pretend you did your job - you would be better to admit your failings and put something in place to ensure it doesnt happen again -

There was no LPA we had to get this arranged- you never checked who owned the property , and you mever realsied anything , I told you because i knew straight away more than the estate agent , and neither did the solicitor - my facts are facts not opinions , my opinion is how rude your director is and how he tried to bully people,- it is worse you are not able to admit your mistakes and learn from them , I just pray the company does not stay in business for much longer and save stress for many other people and mark Chant himself never works in a customer facing environment

Mark and his team have been brilliant they give weekly updates and are always there for any questions that we may have. I would highly recommend them first class estate agents with the personal touch and would definitely use them again.
