Loft conversion was done in 2018. Have had to re do whole roof as wasn't done properly. Cannot contact the individuals as no telephone number or email address seems to work.

I’m currently exploring how CLL deal with some challenges. Looking forward to outstanding customer service.

My GRP roof has failed and it’s 3 years old. Leaks and damage to the property.

Renatas provided some guys 12 months ago to remedy the problem, but it looks like they just used some filler to mask a bigger problem.

You don’t want to spend 30/40k on a loft and then be left to sort the issue after only 3 years. Maybe I’m just unlucky.

I’m expecting the team there to resolve the problem and when the loft is sold you’re given all sorts of guarantees and promises of aftercare. So here’s hoping.

I’ll update the post so people thinking of a loft know what can happen when something unexpected happens.

After some exchanges with the company they have told me that they can’t help me and I should deal with it myself. It’s unreasonable for me to expect them to repair the roof as they only installed it. I kid you not. They are sorry though.

Think very carefully about working with them. They of course will get some work right. Don’t end up like me.

Maybe the signs were there from the start. My kitchen extension architect looked at the loft plans they drew, the stairs to the loft were the wrong size, we asked for a bigger bathroom, they said no, doesn’t work with the plans and drawings, we ordered units to then fit and they laughed when the bathroom was 100mm wider, it’s how it goes in building apparently. My bathroom sliding door is too big for the system, but it’s ok.

I’m off to get my roof repaired.

Totally irrisponsible and once they got your money then you have to chaise them.
After some digging, I found out this is the 3rd company which has been set up by , under new name, their previous company called Central London Lofts.

They setup new companies and once they got the customer’s money with very poor work, they declare the company bankrupt and setup a new one.
Thier phone numbers in their website is managed by another company which is not related to this one, even the operator admited they don't know any of the managers or the workers, they just record a message and pass it on. So good luck finding this people.
Just look at the Central London Lofts Company which been declared bankrupt, also this is the way they can avoid any warranty for their work.

It's one of their companies which they declare bankruptcy after ripping off customers.

Stay away and find a decent comapny.

Central London Loft did everything possible to make my build process a very good memory.
The work performed in my home was almost a total rebuild from the roof down to the ground floor

I would like to say a very big thank you to the Project Manager Renatas, from Central London lofts who’s been very proactive in managing my loft extension in Essex.
The whole team has had a very professional attitude and true to their words on this project.

Also, a special thanks to Pasha and the plumber who has a very good customer care and take much pride in their work.

This is my second time using Central London Lofts after moving house recently. Trusted builders are very difficult to find and I have been very lucky with this find. I have recommended them to my friends who are considering works in the near future. They have also been very good about resolving any issues that have not met my full satisfaction. One other key factor for my family is that their employees have been very personable. We have felt very comfortable having them in and around our home and they are not demanding in any way. The team at Central London Lofts worked diligently on a non standard ‘shell only’ loft conversion of our victorian terrace, within the constraints of permitted development, to maximise every possible inch of space and achieve a signifiant addition to the footprint of the house ready for us to finish. The labourers working on site were always easy to deal with and took great pride in their work, their manner and their years of experience in the industry always gave us confidence and we’re very pleased with the finished result! Great result! We had a large L shape dormer, I had a lot of specific requests in terms of the design and the finish of the rooms and CLL accommodated everything I asked for, Renatas was very good at communication, always responsive.
We a leak into the neighbours due to some plumbing work and they sorted it out with no fuss and dealt with it very well.
The end result was very good , I would definitely recommend and use CLL again.

Central London Lofts completed our project in February this year and I can definitely say that we are happy with the final results. From Huw to Renatas to Minde, and everyone in between, Central London Lofts are professional, open and everything is transparent.

At the initial meeting with Huw he gave us advice that enhanced the project and has allowed us to have not only a loft room with en suite but also an extension, creating a very good sized fourth bedroom. Something we didn’t think possible. Plus, he dealt directly with some tricky neighbour issues for us and we really felt supported.

When Minde and his team started the works, we were amazed at how quickly things progressed. Minde listened to us and made sure we had the space we wanted, giving good advice throughout. We can’t give him enough praise. Again, Minde dealt with potential tricky neighbour issues directly so we didn’t have to get involved, was great with our dogs and was fantastic when interacting with an ageing father who was in the house throughout the works. We had issues with electrics, its an old house, which the team worked tirelessly to rectify late one Saturday evening. Plus, all workmen thoroughly tidied up after themselves.

Renatas was extremely attentive and never ignored a call or email, and always answered promptly. Believe me, I am very inquisitive and cautious so there were many questions. He listened and I felt like I was heard.

General advice for anyone looking to take on a project like this, with no reflection on Central London Lofts, would be to really think about the timing for such works. We were keen to get the job done so the project straddled the Christmas period which impacted it slightly. Although Minde and his team worked everyday possible over the period, which we really appreciated, there was a knock-on to other trades that was out of the control of Central London Lofts, so keep in mind that there is potential for slight delays around this time. Plus, it can get rather cold too.

I would also suggest that you do research into the process and the different communication streams that need to be maintained – is the plumber coordinating with the electrician, for example? To get the completed project you envisage, you need to be involved and be comfortable and confident enough to speak-up at the right time to make sure there is no abortive work or additional cost that could have been avoided. You do not need to be a project manager by trade, just really understand what you want and be able to communicate this clearly. As mentioned, the Central London Lofts team are extremely transparent and are happy to walk their clients through things.

Also, make sure you understand the level of finish you will be getting at the end of the project. We opted to have our own decorator do the finishing, as he has been working through the whole house for us, and have Central London Lofts just do the build so we were fully aware of what extra was needed to get the space ready for painting etc. If you chose this option, keep in mind that there will be a lot of preparation work before you can put your chosen colour of paint on the freshly plastered walls or gloss on the woodwork. The build is the build, finishing is a completely different beast.

Of course, the test of time is yet to be determined but the build seems solid with no creaking or leaks. The base project was brought in on budget, with the only addition being a change of the number of spot lights we wanted and we had to replace the roof tiles, which we were advised on and shown where the issues were. Again, fully transparent so we could make an informed decision – the roof hadn’t been touched in 30 years so we assumed this would be the case anyway and the cost was very reasonable. So, we are comfortable with what we have and believe that Renatas and his team will assist should the need to call arise.

I had been looking for a loft company for over six months. When central London Loft came to inspect my house for a loft conversation, I was very impressed and confident with the company. They were brilliant from the start to the end.
All the builders were very friendly and went out their way to meet all our requirements.
I would deafly recommend central London loft to everyone I believe Center London Lofts are honest, friendly and professional.

We have just completed a loft project with Central London Lofts and are very pleased with the results. Throughout the project, from the initial survey and quote, to the finishing touches, Renatas and his team worked exceptionally hard and carried out that work to high standards. The salesperson was the most relaxed and informative of several companies we had quotes from. The architect was helpful and concise. Alex, the foreman, often worked seven days a week, was polite and extremely patient when faced with our barrage of questions.

We were impressed very early on when Alex arrived at 8am on a Sunday morning to add extra rain proofing to the roof. This pattern of going the extra mile was repeated throughout the build and we were very impressed by the entire company’s dedication to giving good service.

Communication was good, we never felt shut out of the process. Renatas and his team remained flexible throughout the build, incorporating some fairly major design changes at the last minute with a really can-do attitude and no complaints at the extra work.

We have two small children and the team often worked at weekends when we were home; the whole team were polite and made every effort to disrupt life as little as possible. Our neighbours, who are in during the week, were also very pleased with the minimal disruption.

Most importantly, now the job is finished, we are extremely pleased with the results. Everything is finished to a high standard, and our house is so much better for it. We would certainly recommend Renatas and Central London Lofts to anyone who wants the best results with the minimum stress.

Just wanted to follow up on my original video testimony on CLL's website.

It's worth a shout out to David and Renatas @ CLL that 8 years after doing our loft they came out to review an issue that we had around some cracking in our ceiling which turned out to be a non issue. I think this a testament to the integrity of the team at CLL- still responsive 8 years on and stand by their 10 year guarantee of work. Trust is something that can only be earned overtime and given some of the nightmare stories you hear about some outfits, if you are looking to invest your hard earned money in some extra space, look no further!

Very impressed with CLL, they completed out loft conversion in early January having only started in late November. Quality was not sacrificed with speed, the whole process was exactly as the sales manager had advised. The work was completed by a very friendly highly dedicated team. There was no need to move out of the properly doing the short time that it took for them to complete the work. We leave down a small pedestrianised road which I thought could have posed some issues and delays for access and disposal. CLL worked around this without a single issue or complaint. I highly recommend this CLL and they will be my goto company for any future building work that I need.

We recently had a loft conversion completed in December 18 by CLL in south east London. The management were great from start to finish, we had a few problems with the drawings but Renatas and his team solved these very quickly. We also had a complex design but the team made sure to go the extra mile for us and get us what we wanted. I would defintely recommend CLL.
