Confirmed booking was not honoured
Confirmed booking was not honoured. Misleading communication and refusal to provide service.
Before confirming the booking, I clearly asked about the insurance coverage. I was only told “OSAGO”, without any explanation. As a foreign customer, I was not informed that this is only basic third-party liability insurance and that I would be fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle.
I attempted to clarify this further, but no proper explanation was provided. Despite that, the reservation was confirmed.
Upon arrival late at night, while already sitting in the car, I was informed that full insurance would cost €675 for 4 days, and that such coverage is not available anywhere in Moldova.
This statement was incorrect.
After spending about an hour trying to resolve the situation, I returned to the airport and rented a car from another company with full coverage for approximately €15 per day extra (around €70 total).
When I asked for a solution, the company refused to provide the vehicle at all and instructed the driver not to hand it over.
This experience shows a lack of transparency and failure to honour a confirmed booking.
I would strongly advise others to exercise caution.
