Highly recommended...
This was our second trip with Byway and we would not hesitate to use them again. The care taken to plan your trip with you and the prompt efficient support provided if needed, while you are away are key to the experience. It really is your trip, but their suggestions are worth listening to. For example we added travelling the Bernina route over the Swiss mountains to our trip, but using the ordinary railservice not the fancy Express to keep the cost down and it was very well worth it, quite amazing!
The hotels are well chosen and sited with good value breakfasts usually included. If their suggestion doesnt suit you generally they offer alternatives.
Things do happen when travelling abroad, for example on a day with 4 rail journeys, the first was stymied by a long delay which turned out to be caused by unexploded WW2 ordnance by the track and which blocked a sizeable chunk of network while it was sorted over 24hr. Byway swiftly sorted a new set of trains within minutes and got us moving so we managed to get our our Bernina trip and to our final destination of the day albeit a bit late.

As always a well organised trip
As always a well organised trip, this time to Copenhagen and Aarhus with stops in Osnabruck and Amsterdam. The hotels were excellent and in good locations.
Byway are always very friendly and helpful. We used the WhatsApp group a couple of times and Sean sorted out our concerns quickly and efficiently.
We love using Byway for our holidays and look forward to travelling with them again.

Excellent help and support from booking to returning home. A wonderful team of people whose support was reassuring and timely- we asked a few questions out of hours when we were abroad and were answered immediately.
The team are very knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them.

Easy and reliable travel experiences
It was our first time using an Interrail pass for European travel and Byway removed all the anxiety with this unknown. They accommodated all our queries with empathic and knowledgable responses. Byway would be our 1st choice for any similar holiday trip.

Wonderful 3-city break with fantastic, relaxing train travel between each.

Terrific backup from Byway
This is the second time I have used by way travel. firstly for a trip to Morocco, this time for a trip to Scandinavia.
The firm offers a WhatsApp support group. As well as booking all your tickets and accommodation it is with you every step of the way. if there are problems which are almost inevitable on any journey. on both trips we contacted via WhatsApp . In Morocco regarding a hotel and in Germany regarding a cancelled train. The response was immediate and completely helpful in both cases we were rebooked with an alternative saving us a huge amount of stress

A great trip to France
We took our first short trip with Byways last week and found them very helpful and supportive, especially when Eurostar cancelled our outward train with less than 24 hours notice! We were rebooked and on our way on the right day, but I don't trust Eurostar as much now. The Byways hotel suggestion of Boutique Hotel Cezanne for our 4 night stay in Aix-en-Provence was super and we had a lovely stay there. We really appreciated Abby's Zoom session on how to use our Interrail pass. I still found the Interrail system over complicated - but we managed! Despite the wobbly start we really enjoyed our train journeys and found them far more relaxing than flying. We thought we would give this way of travelling a go and I'm glad we did, with Byways support.

Just back from a great bespoke 17 night…
Just back from a great bespoke 17 night trip through France to Spain. Byway is so helpful, supportive and flexible. We arranged our own accommodation with a family for a week whilst learning Spanish. When we thought we weren't going to make connections due to a delayed train they came back to us very promptly with an attractive alternative route - sadly we didn't need it!

Highly recommended
As a first-time Byway customer I found the people who work there very easy to deal with and supportive. We found a holiday on their website and used that as a basis to add in extra days and change the hotels. We had a great time with an itinerary that I would never have come up with if sorting it out ourselves - for example, use of overnight ferries. We have interrailed before and booked our own accommodation but I think using Byway made it a whole lot easier and more cost-effective.

Another good experience
Just returned from our third Byway trip, two weeks in Switzerland, Italy and Austria. As per previous experiences everything was extremely well organised with well located, good hotels. Everything ran to schedule, though one of our travel days coincided with an Italian rail strike - Byway support quickly organised back-up trains from the guaranteed list but happily the original service ran as scheduled. Thoroughly recommend Byway based on organisation, communication, and support.

The company are totally professional…
The company are totally professional and take the strain out of preparing a holiday. Quick to sort out any wrinkles and extremely friendly. First time we have used them on a suggested trip by train to Bergen. All the connections worked and the hotel suggestions were well thought out. We are seniors and with the exception of one journey from Hamburg to Osnabruck when the platform was changed we were never rushed. Brilliant and will use them again

Byways made our recent holiday so easy. They did all the booking, Eurostar, Interrail tickets and hotels. Sent clear arrival and departure details. The choice of hotels was excellent.
