Delivery of Jumping Spider kit arrived today. It was well packaged and the customer service was great. Will be using again

I recently bought a baby Giant African Land Snail with them. It died after less than a month. It was always deeply retracted and far too small to have been sold. I suspect it was a runt or had bad genetics, and this organisation has poor breeding ethics.
Losing a pet is never easy, even after just a month and knowing something was wrong from early on.

I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews but wanted to buy from them still as they seamed to have a better selection than the other UK seller. So I decided to buy with Klarna so that in the advent that stuff wasn't sent I could claim my money back but thankfully it wasnt needed.

I had no issues with delivery. Everything i ordered was included. I put a request in for a young pale female jumper who was very friendly and eager to interact and that's what I got. Any concerns (being a bran new owner) I had prompt replys. I would buy again from them

Absolutely awful.
Ordered a jumping spider and everything we needed for him. After a few delays because of cold weather we received everything with no spider. They failed to respond to all of our emails and we placed an order for another spider which has also not arrived and no emails responded to. This has been ongoing for weeks. Absolutely dreadful customer service. We've had no money refunded either.

Purchased a jumping spider at the beginning of December 2024 which sadly died after a short time. They offered to replace it which I was delighted with however despite several further email exchanges where I have chased them about this and they have put me off for various reasons they are now completely ignoring my messages. The last I heard from them was about six weeks ago. I am now way beyond giving them the benefit of the doubt and am accepting that I will never see anything for the money I have given them.

Do not use they will take your money and you don't hear from them again they have ignored messages and emails and I'm now down £60

Awful. Scam. Don't use. Contacting bank for refund.

Second time ordering from bug pets ltd.

First was praying mantis and this time round I thaught I’d try my luck with Triops.
Things went well till an issue (most likely a fault of my own) lost me the ones I was raising. The owner was more than understanding and went above and beyond as much as enough to offer to send me out a new batch and explain in detail the process. Beyond happy and will always be using them for all my invertebrate/creepy crawly needs

I’ve been trying to contact BugPets for over a week. I ordered a jumping spider for my son as a pet which was what he asked for for Christmas. They sent a praying mantis. I know this because I google imaged the insect they sent. We have been looking after the praying mantis obviously because it’s not her fault but my son really wants his jumping spider

Absolutely excellent company to deal with nothings any trouble give 7 days guarantee on purchases and stand by their word .. highly recommended

About a year ago I placed an order at BugPets for a female Phidippus Regius Soroa spiderling described by them as being vibrant orange copper but instead I was send a male and also a sub-adult not a small spiderling as I ordered.
Well i tried to resolve it with them but they refused to cooperate and resolve their mistake. Instead they also change the description of the spider I ordered as soon as I left a review on trustpilot at the time. Thdy tried their best to cover their mistake instead of taking responsibility for it.
On 22.Aug.'24 I made a huge mistake by trying to give them another chance and place an order for over 80 pounds but today on 28.Aug.'24 they cancelled it.
IT TOOK THEM 6 DAYS TO CANCEL AND FINALLY ISSUE MY REFUND!!
Their answer at my question of why they cancelled my order out of nowhere was that they refuse to fulfil my order just because last time they tried to scam me and I didn't go with it.
This only shows that I was right in the first place, once again they are showing their true face... Scammers!! They charge you money and takes over a week for them to decide to issue a refund! Thiefs... Unfortunately many people had issues with them but many are afraid to leave honest reviews because they threatening with deleting their accounts if they do... 😐
I wish trustpilot had an option for adding pics and screenshots to show how they tried to avoid to take responsibility in the first place.
And not mentioning changing the description of the item purchased and photos as soon as after a review it only shows they are scammers. What humans fo this?!
You should've taken responsibility for your mistakes bot trying to cover them!!

Was a slight mix up with deliver but we have a little jumper safe and sound at home now. Came with everything we asked for. Thanks guys

Ordered a jumping spider and some flies for the spider to eat sent them two messages via their website to tell them the flies never came in my order and had 0 response their customer service is non existent despite it saying the wait for response would be within 24hrs I waited a whole week and they never replied to me and I was forced to buy more elsewhere needless to say I don’t think I will be getting a refund as they didn’t even reply and I won’t shop there again disappointing as I gave them a week to fix this issue

I ordered my orchid praying mantis on saturday for next day deleverry and am still waiting and they have advoided every effort from me to contact them and they are saying my order is completed but i havent been given a date of arrival of if its even been sent out. wheres my mantis bug pets?

They've taken £33 from my account for a bumblebee jumping spider that went out of stock. I've emailed 3 times with no response. The only reason I know it's out of stock is because it states it in my recent orders on the website, saying that it's out of stock and I'll be refunded but it's been well over a week and I've not received anything yet. The lack of communication from this website is beyond shocking. I would avoid if you don't want your money taken from you with nothing in return.

Still haven’t received my order and no communication via email. They did send one email saying they made a mistake and will send one out that day. I presume they are sent next day delivery as it’s an animal but nothing has come and they are now ignoring my emails

Bought a curly hair trantula sling and my fluffy little friend arrived the next day safe, warm and happy.
My spider was packaged really well and this is my second spider from them with my first being a regal jumping spider, would highly recomend Bug pets as I believe they will be supplying me with new invertibate friends for years to come

No order confirmation was sent so I was abit worried it wouldn't turn up but despite being delayed it did eventually turn up.

Delay was due to the shipping over the recent cold weather which was fair enough these things happen.

Contact via email was usually delayed by around a day but replies were coming in and the responder was very polite.

From what I've seen it's a relatively new business so could be that there is still some creases to iron out.

Order arrived well packaged and alive, had no issues since so no complaints there.

I would be interested in seeing how the company grows and there's certainly promise to develop into a excellent pet store.

I would buy again but communication needs to be better and atleast an order confirmation so you know where you stand.

All in all not a bad service but there are areas for improvement.

You guys just refunded me and gave me no notification on why I didn't receive my item just sent me back the money.
I still have no idea why I didn't receive what I ordered
