My wife and I engaged BriteCo expecting a modern, smooth digital process. We initially scheduled a video verification appointment for three items. However, when we attempted to expand the scope of our business by submitting more items and requested a logistical workaround for the video requirement—given that we were traveling and our jewelry was locked in a home vault—the company proved entirely incapable of flexibility.
Our attempts to coordinate an alternative path were met with defensive, institutional language from their staff. When we requested to keep communication strictly in writing to ensure a clear paper trail, the company resisted transparent communication and refused to involve corporate leadership (such as Dustin Lemick) to resolve the administrative bottleneck. BriteCo chose to cancel our account and force a refund rather than attempt to provide a flexible consumer experience. A modern digital insurer should possess the administrative capability to handle client logistical constraints smoothly.

No insurance policy was quoted, issued, or canceled here, so your experience doesn’t reflect how we handle coverage.
People rely on an appraisal long after it’s written, often for insurance, so we have to see every piece before we put our name on it. That’s why each item goes through a live video verification.
No reputable appraisal company would write an a credible appraisal without seeing the items.
With your jewelry in a vault while you traveled, we couldn’t complete that step, so our team refunded your order.
I understand that felt rigid. That standard protects you and anyone who later relies on the appraised value.

Lots of questions when you are thinking of spending MORE money to protect OTHER money associated with a high dollar investment like a wedding.
