The sales team here are excellent

The team here are very good. They are driven and tenacious in many ways to sell your home. It took a long period for us to sell and we declined numerous offers too but Bourne remained focus and motivated to get the right sale that worked for us.

I can’t even put in to words how helpful, kind and efficient the people at Bourne estate agents have been. Both David and Ruby have gone beyond what is expected of them, and have been so amazing with helping us to get our dream house! They have always kept us up to date, guided us and have helped us with things that they didn’t have to. Including answering all of our questions quickly, which there have been a lot of! They haven’t rudely pestered us either, which has been my experience with other estate agents in the past. They have made the whole complicated process easy. I would highly recommend them as a company. Thank you so much for your help.

Renting with Bourne was easy peasy

I had a great experience renting with Bourne Estate Agents.
It was fast, easy, efficient and the communication from Steph was amazing all the way through.
Our circumstances were pretty serious and we were in a really tough spot, but they were really helpful and made the process easy and painless for us. I would recommend Bourne to anyone needing to move and wanting a friendly but professional experience.

Couldn’t fault them

Bourne have been absolutely fantastic throughout my house buying process. They have been informative , professional, knowledgeable and there to answer all my questions. Shaun especially from the Woking branch who has been dealing with my purchase has been friendly, helpful and made the whole process stress free. Really grateful for such a smooth experience and would highly recommend them.

Where has the customer service gone?

Lack of communication, walked in to collect my keys all team messing around on their phones talking about TikTok, how many followers they have. No hello when I walked in the door- if anything it was looks of “ugh why are you here”

Wonder why I couldn’t speak to anyone who knew what they were doing as they were so arrogant to even answer the phone.

Would never use them to clean up my dog Poo let alone sell a house!

Helpful professional team for house sale

David and the team managed the successful sale of our house. They had excellent communication and regularly kept us up to date. They responded well to queries and made the whole process as smooth as possible. Even before our house was fully on the market (it was previously rented out) David had viewers for it and we received an offer. The whole process from putting on the market to completion took only just over 3 months which we were delighted with. We recommend this helpful team.

Liars and Thieves

Liars and Thieves – Protecting the Landlords, Not Tenants

Avoid this agency at all costs. They work to protect the landlords and will do everything possible to take your money.

We were misled about major disruptive works (walls taken down on every part of the house, driveway, trees being removed) and told it wouldn’t cause problems. In reality, the property was unusable at times, yet they still tried to charge us rent for the weeks it wasn’t fit to live in and still denying that we are entitled to compensation. With many videos of the noise, mess and inconvenience… after a week of fighting the work was stopped. Why should we pay for a house in the conditions.
They have no empathy or compassion.

After moving out, we repeatedly asked to collect belongings and return items they were trying to charge us for (more than double of the value they are!) out of our deposit— ignored every time. It’s now obvious why: they clearly didn’t want us to see the true state of the property or how much work was really going on.

When making further complaints, Josh (Alton branch) lied yet again, claiming it was just two weeks of work. We moved out three weeks ago, they did a week while still there which is was horrendous for us, impacting our lives significantly (again told it was minimal work and we wouldn’t notice them), and from what we’ve seen, far more still needs to be done. Again adding we only agreed to the work as they gave us notice and we required a reference to move, preying on our vulnerability. These plans were months in the making and we only got 24hrs notice, only three days earlier being told they are selling up.

Despite us cleaning the property thoroughly before leaving, they are still trying to deduct cleaning and window charges from our deposit — even though the mess was caused entirely by the landlord’s ongoing works, not us. There were mounds of dirt and footprints all through the house from workmen, and we made it clear it’s impossible to keep a property “perfectly clean” while heavy construction is happening on every side. We’ve since taken further photos showing just how filthy the house now is, yet they still want to pin it on us. On top of this, they continue to push for the disputed week of rent, which should clearly be treated separately while the complaint is unresolved.

Adding to this we saw proof of an issue with a carpets/side board and are willing to take responsibility for certain things but when we paid 3,700 and they are demanding to give only £500 back!

We’ve since spoken with the previous tenant, and the same tricks were pulled on them.

⚠️ Beware – this agency lies, misleads, and will do everything they can to keep your deposit.

Huge thank you to Shaun and Andrew for firstly selling our house and then in getting us moved into our now place despite the best efforts of our incompetent solicitor, without them we would never have exchanged and completed on the date.
Great brochure and marketing when we first put house on market, all viewings were accompanied and feedback given to us. They kept our buyer happy for month whilst we looked for our new home.
They helped us first find and then buy our new home. Whenever we called whoever answered was always able to look up what was going on and either answer our questions or get Shaun to call us back.

Mouldy, damaged and dirty

Very keen to rent out a mouldy, insecure and damaged property - ‘this damage the landlord does not want to repair’.

Poor communication and when pushed about getting issues fixed were told misleading information and contradictory answers to try and fob us off. Some issues have begun to be addressed.

Worrying situation to be in with a young family and sadly would not currently recommend.

We have signed a long lease so if this situation improves I will update our review.
