It's been 2 if not over 2 months now and there is NO RECORD f Boompay on ANY of my credit bureau reports. I filled out their "report form" and no action has taken place. The last time I had an interaction with one of their "agents" he was very dissmissive and couldn't care less about the issue I was having. i just want my $80 back and be done with this. NOTHING was done, so I want 100% returned to me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

My experience with Boom has been terrible.

Their cancellation process is misleading and feels intentionally designed to keep charging you. I went through the steps to cancel, but they never send any confirmation email or proof that your request was submitted. They just say they’ll “validate your information” and leave you in the dark.

Then, the next month, you get charged again. When you complain, they simply say you didn’t complete the process. At that point, they pressure you to pay first to avoid extra fees before they even consider reviewing your case.

This is a very poor and questionable business practice. Customers are left without proof, without support, and still expected to pay.

On top of that, the service itself isn’t worth it, and customer support takes hours to respond, if they respond at all.

Overall, this feels like a system designed to trap you into recurring charges rather than actually provide value. I strongly recommend avoiding this service.

Registration and process was simple. The product is the lowest cost of it's kind. It has yet to be reported so there could be issues, but no problems so far.

They have unsafe business practices. I used them because my landlord wanted a platform to verify credit and other data. Their questionnaire was not very good/standard. Also they did not ask for my social security number (which is usual). For some reason they could not complete the check. So they called me and asked for me to give it to them over the telephone. I refused but they could not offer any secure platform (only email or general upload). The next day they called again using pressure tactics to try to get my social security number. Clearly (1) they do not have adequate data protection practices or awareness or (2) they have poorly trained staff. I recommend anyone considering them to take this into account. Our data is only as secure as the weakest link. Would love to get the fee I paid back but dealing with them has been so unsatisfactory that I deemed it better to just ask for my data to be deleted.

Absolutely worthless pile of shit.
It does not allow me to click continue button, ask a bunch of nonsense questions. Ask me for my supervisor's info? Am I doing a job application? Do I have an aquarium??? And I only started working + renting for a year and a half, and the system only accepts 2 years + work + rent history??? Whoever designed this website is a miserable shit. Wasted my 3 hours and I need to pay 80 bucks for this shitty application process????? GO TO HELLLLLLLLL

Unnecessary bull shit.
This was required just to SEE the property and I have a 830 credit score.
The agent set this up,
I didn’t see the property and rented something else.
I wonder if the landlord knows about this scams

I originally purchased service from boompay.
I ended up not needing it and ask for a refund. They told me ten days passed and I couldn't get my money back. I wouldn't do business with this company.

This app is infuriating. It doesn't work. They advertise that most users see an average credit increase of 28 points in 2 weeks. My credit score actually went down 20 points after they started reporting. Then it lost connection with my bank account. I waited multiple months to try it again today. I keep trying to upload payments it says are missing from my bank account because I paid another way, but it is uploading them to the wrong month even though I am uploading under the correct month. It also picked up a loan payment and is reporting it as rent when it isn't. As much as I would love for my rent payments to count towards my credit score, it's too much of a hassle dealing with this app. If it worked the way it says it does, it would be a great tool and very beneficial. As it stands now, it's just a huge waste of time.

Been using Boom for over a year. Always issues every few months. They aren't good a giving answers to your inquiries. Experian is showing they closed two of my accounts. I have a new lease since February but only two months reported then closed. It makes no sense. They blamed Experian for not having enough employees to report correct information. I have no other problems with other creditors. Don't waste your time! Not worth the hassle.

Just woke up to 2 emails. One letting me know my boom subscription is ending. The next an hour later congratulating me on signing up. What? I was asleep. I didn't sign up. When I reached out to try to talk to someone it sounded like a personal voicemail. I doubt I'll ever hear from anyone and just want to say this service didn't make a difference. It's a scam.

This company very unreliable it never reported my rent. I sent an account statement for back rent payment along with a letter from my landlord and never reported the rent. They had my checking account linked and there again never reported those payments. Extremely poor service there are better options than this company

I've contacted several time within the last 3 months to advise them that my rent isn't being reported after I paid the fee and sent my renewed lease. They keep saying they've taken care of it and another 30 to 45 days goes by and nothing happens. I will not be renewing for another year after this if this is what I have to keep dealing with everytime.

I paid this company to report my rental payments to the credit bureau & after struggling to sign up and attempting over 6 times, I reached out to boom to help with this glitch. I finally downloaded the app and signed up and paid. Filled everything in & I had to reupload my lease over 9 times. Even sent them an email with my lease so they can do it manually. After all this I had a “portal issue” a month went by with me going back and forth with the reps & they didn’t couldn’t start reporting even after I had paid over a month ago. You’d think that was it but I then noticed a email typo so I asked them to please correct it & they proceeded to delete my account & told me to sign up again. I wasted a month of my time trying this service & even when I tried signing up again I was “unauthorized”. And even after they fixed that I still had problems uploading my lease AGAIN over 4 more times. Then I asked the rep and ceo to give me platforms to place a review and they denied me that. What a company. Denying feedback which they desperately need. CEO and reps need to take this more serious & maybe try and rebuild there reputation because I’m not the only one writing experiences just like this. They tried to offer me 20$ Amazon gift card and I told them I don’t use or have Amazon and asked for a credit or subscription discount and they said no. That’s all good but man what a company

WARNING: identity theft risk

The app will ask you for your full name, address, DOB, and SSN. Then, it will try to connect to your bank (via Plaid) to get all your transactions from the past 24 (or more?) months. But if Plaid doesn't manage to retrieve your bank accounts, you won't be able to use Boom, yet Boom has all your personal data. Fantastic!

Also, they don't support rentals outside the US, even if you paid with a US bank account. Why? You still paid rent regularly.

Also, this app shouldn't exist. A website would be enough.
