Great quick service , great from start to finish

I visited Bella Barista to buy an espresso machine. I'd already decided which was my preferred machine but needed other items to get me started. I got everything I hadn't already got to get me going, all quality items at very good prices. What made the visit though was talking to Marco about the coffee they sell. They are so passionate about their products. The organic coffee we bought from them is sensational. The films of visits to the coffee growers are fantastic and well worth watching. Although parting with a significant amount of money for a Yorkshireman is always difficult, the purchasing experience was well worth the journey and so much better than just placing an online order. It's so important to buy from retailers that you can actually visit to talk to, Bella Barista is absolutely one of those retailers. I was reassured that I was buying the right machine. The purchase was 1 month ago, so I've had plenty of opportunity to get to know the machine. Great choice and the coffee is the business! Thank you Bella Barista for your time and help.

I purchased a Lelit Bianca from Bella Barista at the end of October 2024 and started using it on Christmas Day that year. In the middle of January 2026 the steam boiler started over filling and produced around 250ml of water before any steam. I contacted Bella Barista and because the machine was under warranty they asked me to return it for repair. After having the machine for over two weeks it was still not looked at so I contacted Lelit for help. They basically did not want to get involved and told me I had done the right thing in returning the machine to Bella Barista. The fault was a probe in the steam boiler that was covered in scale. I live in central Scotland where the water is very soft (I also test my water regularly), so am very surprised of scale build up so quickly. These machines are advertised as built with industrial parts. My machine makes on average less than 3 coffees a day. As I am the only one using it and work away from home often, I believe it made somewhere between 700 & 800 coffees. If this is the case then a coffee shop must be changing this part every week (more in hard water areas). It also turns out that this part is replaced during a service (recommended to be carried out every 12-18 months) and was advised to have this done at a cost of £286.28. So the 2 year warranty is worthless (so I paid for the repair). I asked Bella Barista how the probe can get scale build up in a soft water area and was told they would get someone to call be back to explain. They did not call back which tells me all I need to know about this company. When the machine was returned, the steam wand fell off when I made the first coffee. I fitted this back on myself as I did not want to be without a coffee machine for another 3-4 weeks (the nut holding it in place was not tightened up). Before this machine I had a Sage Barista Touch that I purchased with an extended 5 year warranty for around £900. The Sage machine lasted over 7years with no issues whatsoever (Sage are owned by the same company as Lelit). I have worked out that the cost of the Lelit machine with an annual service over 7 years will be over £4000. My advice to anyone considering a Lelit machine (or anything similar) would be to get a Sage with extended warranty from the department store famous for their Christmas ads and save a small fortune.

Coffee is like wine, just because it was wonderful one season does not mean it will be the next.

Belle Barista do not sell coffee unless it comes up their standards.

Finally if you ring, tell them your tastes in coffee - they will recommend one to try. Then you can order on-line.

Exceptional customer support and after-sales service from Marko and his entire team. I had a couple of bad experiences with a previous espresso machine which Anya in the support department, with the assistance of Marko, was extremely quick to resolve. They hosted me at their shop where Marko patiently and expertly talked me through the range of different options for replacing the faulty machine and helped me reach a decision. I was also treated to a tour of the facilities and introduced to the support staff. Honestly, this company and the team are second to none.
