We recently bought a bed from bed…

We recently bought a bed from bed universe after a friend recommended them to us. They have a wide variety of designs to choose from, however we went for the Julius bed in super-king, ivory color with gas lift. Initially we were confused whether a high headboard would fit our stairs, we had some great communication with the customer service team, who managed to help us quickly. Fabric and color swatches were sent out the same day of ordering them. The bed itself is beautifully made, and the delivery was very convenient, professional and on time.

Second bed ordered and again they…

Second bed ordered and again they didn't disappoint. Absolutely brilliant and I would definitely be buying from here again.
Two beds and both are great quality, the communication has been spot on from the get go and delivered within 9 days which was amazing. Efficient and professional guys.
Couldn't recommend this company enough.

Had a fantastic experience with them. From ordering to delivery everything was so smooth and the delivery was really quick as well. I also paid to have this assembled and it was assembled on the same day at the same time. Brilliant I must say.

What an absolutely fantastic…

What an absolutely fantastic exeperience. We purchased the Julius Winged bed from here and we couldn't be more happier with it. Amazing quality and looks absolutely fantastic.
I would definitely recommend.

SCAM SITE! Do not buy from this company!

Ordered a single bed and after more than 6 weeks of waiting with many empty promises of confirmed deliveries on 3 separate occasions I have had to claim back through my credit card. Awful customer service and dishonest promises with false delivery tracking codes which never amounted to bed being delivered. Highly highly recommend avoiding!!

Brilliant just brilliant!
The experience was so seamless and everything went according to plan. There weren't any issues and the bed we ordered looks fantastic. It looks even better in person and in our chosen fabric than how we had imagined it to be. Really happy and will be placing our second order tonight!

Never again

Just awful.
First of all, the '5-10 days delivery' is a lie. Waited over a month for the order to arrive.
Second, the customer service is a joke, you have to beg for an update through email and if you're lucky you'll get a reply. The phone number doesn't even work so don't expect to talk to anyone from customer service.
After all that our order arrived and immediately parts missing and furniture faulty (which the delivery guys took back and told us we would receive in the next few days)
The next day we got the missing part but the faulty furniture hasn't been sent, no emails with any information, no refund, not even a simple apology, NOTHING!!
Almost £200 worth of furniture missing and nobody cares. Absolute scammers

Think before you buy from this company!

So disappointed with this company's customer service. We ordered a luxury sleigh bed, and upgraded to their top mattress option as well as a larger headboard which was an extra £372 on top of the order, their lead times for deliveries state on their website 5 to 10 working days, so because we were desperate for a new bed as my husband was starting radiotherapy treatment for cancer, we chose this company.
The delivery took considerably longer than the 5 to 10 working days, it turned up at 10.15 p.m at night so we didnt check it til the next day. Surfice to say the order was incorrect, they sent us a standard size headboard which comes free as standard, we tried contacting them by phone numerous times but just got an answer machine, then after several emails were promised that the correct headboard had been dispatched and we would be hearing from the carriers with a delivery date and time slot, this was almost 2 weeks ago, after further emails we received an apologetic email on monday this week with an assurance that the headboard would be delivered to us this week, here we are its now Thursday, no contact from the carrier, and now no responses from the company! We are left in limbo with no bed and myself and Husband sleeping on an airbed with no idea of when our issue will be resolved.
I would steer clear of this company at any cost! They do not deliver on their promises and customer service seems to be non existant.

We ordered the bed with a date in mind but unfortunately we didn’t receive it on time but at least the communication was good and we understand manufacturing sometimes doesn’t go to plan but when we received it we were very surprised how good the upholstery and quality was and we couldn’t be more pleased thank you

Avoid Bed Universe

Avoid Bed Universe – Extremely Poor Service

Bed Universe is one of the worst companies I’ve dealt with. At the beginning, their customer service is excellent — very friendly, helpful, and reassuring. Nothing seems like too much trouble until they have your money.

After the first missed delivery, everything changed. I was repeatedly told I was a “priority” and that my delivery had been rescheduled for the following week. Each week, the same promise was made — and each week, the bed never arrived.

This went on for three weeks with no delivery and no real resolution, despite constant chasing and asking for a refund - I’ve not heard from them.

I used two methods of paying Halifax & Klarna. If you’ve paid through a bank, refunds tend to be processed quickly. Third-party providers like Klarna may take longer, but thankfully refunds are possible.

Please do not buy from this company. Save yourself the stress and frustration.

3/01/2026 update concerning the reply from bed universe. Can you please provide evidence that I cancelled these appointments. I have evidence that I contacted you via phone and email on these dates because I was waiting - why would I cancel? You need to come up with a better lie then that… this company is definitely a ripoff and they lie.

Thank you for getting in touch, and I'm really sorry that you haven't received an update yet - I completely understand how frustrating it is to keep your day free without a confirmed time slot.
Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen
circumstances, the delivery van driver had to return to the depot earlier than expected today. Because of this, they were unable to complete the scheduled deliveries or issue time slots in advance. I truly appreciate your patience, and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
The delivery company has now rebooked your order as a priority, and it is scheduled for Saturday, 5th December. We will ensure it is delivered on that day, and they should also provide you with a more accurate time window closer to the delivery.
Again, I sincerely apologise for the disruption and any inconvenience caused. Please rest assured that we are monitoring this closely and will make sure everything is handled smoothly moving forward.

I asked for a refund, the company disregarded my request and sent two emails that they were going to send it out - gaslighting. Bed Universe never responded until I placed my comment on Trustpilot and as you all can see they lied. Plz avoid the plague. I have more emails I can share but trying to keep this review as short as possible. But please note that, negative comments about the company are repeatedly and promptly countered by positive comments within days.

Unfortunately, these were canceled by you on the day of delivery. While we understand that circumstances can change, cancellations on the day are usually not allowed according to our policy, but as a gesture of goodwill, we still rescheduled your delivery.

We did our best to accommodate the changes, but after the third rescheduling, we were unfortunately unable to meet the original delivery window. We understand how frustrating delays can be, but it’s important to note that the repeated reschedules led to the delivery falling outside of the original time frame, and this is something beyond our control.

We understand that waiting for an order can be stressful, but we believe we’ve been as accommodating as possible. We also recommend checking with your payment provider regarding any refunds, as we have processed everything on our end.

Pay heed of the negative reviews as I…

Pay heed of the negative reviews as I suspect the positive ones are fake. Still no sign of our bed. Attempted phone calls, emails, web chat to no avail. Luckily I took this out on Klarna so I’ve flagged it as a dodgy company and leaving them investigate it. Avoid. Don’t waste your time and money, order with another company instead!

Just to add: this company are repeatedly attempting to flag this review and get it removed however I have provided sufficient information to evidence that this is factual.

My experience with Bed Universe was extremely disappointing. Delivery was promised within a month but took over two months, with no prior notice.

When the bed arrived, the headboard was the wrong colour, damaged and poorly finished, despite the bed supposedly being made to order. I still can’t understand how the base and headboard were two different colours! Bed Universe initially tried to blame the delivery company for the issues…

Communication was terrible. I was told my case was a “top priority,” yet I only received updates when I chased them.

After a lot of follow up on my end, the replacement headboard arrived, again without notice and the promised uplift of the faulty one never happened. No returns label was provided, despite continual chaser emails and the delivery company was never informed this was meant to happen. Again, a failing from Bed Universe.

For a company that claims to value customer service, I’ve had no response for over a month despite repeated emails.

Overall, I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from Bed Universe. They do not deliver on their promises and customer care is virtually non-existent.

Absolutely dreadful company

Last and final update 20/2/26! After a horrific 4 month battle with Bed Universe (who stopped communicating with me in Nov 25 after their promise of a refund which never materialised) and awful service by Klarna, my bank has supported my dispute with Bed Universe / Klarna and I’ve had the money back in my account today!

This took so many hours to sort all the evidence to send to the bank including screen shots of all communication with Bed Universe to Klarna who ignored all evidence sent including multiple calls and emails which always resulted in them siding with Bed Universe!.

Bed Universe in my opinion is a scam company who will initially seem helpful (if they decide to answer your emails and will never answer the phone) once they have your money, but if you have any issues post sale the support disappears along with your money.

Please do not buy anything from this scam business. It’s not worth the stress and anxiety, but If you do, be warned you’ll have a battle on your hands to get your money back! Keep all email evidence etc because you’ll need it!

Further update: Well here we are, it’s now several weeks later (now the 18/12/25). Bed Universe are still ignoring every single email I’ve sent including no answer on the phone (normal) requesting my refund for which they promised. I’ve now submitted a formal complaint and will continue my quest to get this horrific experience resolved.

The stress and upset plus sleepless nights this situation has and is still causing is horrid. Please, please DO NOT purchase anything from this company. I am at my wits end and would hate anyone else to buy and potentially lose money through no fault of their own. I bought this bed in good faith, but sadly it’s been a horrific experience. This company should be ashamed of how they deal with their customers. Everything they state is a lie.

Update: Still waiting for our money back, complaint has been escalated (initial order placed 19/10/25). Bed Universe tried to send us another bed after they agreed to refund me! First we knew of this delivery was when the ‘courier’ rang to say he was on his way and became quite annoyed when I informed him to take it back! Bed universe also stated they would only prioritise my refund if I changed this review. Customer services are now not replying to me (although it was pretty intermittent before!). I would advise to really think carefully before ordering from this company.

Absolutely dreadful company. Awful customer service, no communication, no way to talk to anyone on the phone, emails don’t get answered. The 5-10 working days to deliver is false. The order finally arrived last night two weeks after the promised delivery timescale but no headboard!! XDP couriers stated it was damaged - no one had contacted us to let us know. We refused the delivery and complaint emails sent out immediately to both Bed Universe and XDP; as yet only the couriers have responded. We are now in the process of getting the money refunded and seeking legal advice if necessary. Absolutely dreadful. I posted a review on their social media page which disappeared instantly! Funny that!

🙄 Empty promises!!!!

🙄 Don't waist your time folks with Bed universe!!! I am are still waiting for my bed after 18 working days. No one to talk to on the phone only answer machine . I've left numerous messages it's like pissing in the wind!!!! So unprofessional don't lie about delivery schedules as promised.

Beware of this company

Ordered three beds confirming dimensions before purchase. Delivery was due in 5-10 days. Over a month later the beds finally arrive but all made to incorrect dimensions. Retuned beds for refund but have only received half of my money back. Can’t get any explanation from Bed Universe as to why they are trying to keep half my money. They don’t answer their phone or return email messages. Thankfully I paid by credit card so they will get the rest if my money back.

What an awful awful experience. Let me start at the beginning. The bed was delivered perfectly. The bed was beautiful. I had no issues with this company to begin with and thought id hit the jackpot.

However. 12 months later I have a broken gas lift hinge which has destroyed the side panel. I had reached out to bed universe to hopefully gain replacement parts. Replacement parts I was more than willing to pay for. On several occasions on several platforms including phone calls, voicemails and emails. Even my instagram comments were removed. I almost felt like I was behind ignored and I didnt know why.

After leaving an initial review on Trustpilot I got an email reply from the company almost immediately. But, with a request to take down the review so they could help me. I did just that in the hopes I would get some help.

I chased them for a reply on 3 different occasions telling them i would repost the review if they did not respond. Almost immediately I had a reply.

I would like to point out that the bed is unusable. I had pointed that out to the company several times.

In the latest email correspondence they have informed me that they believe my review is of a false one. I have order numbers, receipts and email correspondence to prove that is not the case.

Please avoid this company. The customer service from their customer service rep is repulsive and they will ask you to remove your review if its not good enough but still wont be helpful.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service, Late Delivery, and Zero Accountability

I had a terrible experience with Bed Universe and would strongly advise others to stay away. I ordered a bed well in advance (15 working days before I needed it) because I had guests coming to stay. Their website clearly stated delivery within 5–10 working days, but the bed only arrived on the 15th working day—the same day my guests arrived—after multiple frustrating chase-ups.

Their customer service is practically non-existent. They don’t answer phone calls, and email responses take 2–3 days, if they respond at all.

When I finally received the bed and assembled it, I discovered they had sent the wrong side panel, making it impossible to finish the setup. I had to tell my guests there was no bed for them—completely humiliating and stressful. They eventually sent the correct side panels (both sides again), but the damage was already done.

Now I’m left with huge, heavy spare panels that I can’t even dispose of properly because they don’t fit in a regular car. I’ve repeatedly asked Bed Universe to collect the incorrect parts, but again—no response at all. They’re ignoring my emails and won’t answer calls.

Overall, Bed Universe ruined my plans, caused unnecessary stress, and showed no intention of taking responsibility. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid them at all costs.

This has been by far one of the best…

This has been by far one of the best purchases we made this year. We purchased the Miranda wide headboard bed from here and couldn't be more happier with it. The look, the quality and fabric are all absolutely fantastic.
Delivery was super quick and the drivers were really helpful and courteous. Overall I am absolutely happy with the purchase and experience and would definitely recommend this company to others.
