Extremely disappointed
Have ordered two pergolas from this company.. 1st blew down and was covered by insurance, so reordered the same one. Second one blew down and was dented also. The winds weren’t strong, but ATM think they are weather forecasters and told me that that would’ve been the case, even though they said their pergolas hadn’t collapsed ever before. Turns out neither pergola was fitted properly and some of the bolts had been bolted to fresh air, upon inspection. Their customer service turned nasty when I said I was looking for a small discount to purchase possibly a 3rd, but would make sure it was bolted down by my own joiners this time. Having already spent £5500 twice on 2 pergolas before, I would have thought a small discount would have been a kind gesture.. but no,they refused & said they could offer me zero/ nada… so took my business £5000 elsewhere.

I can see the correspondence with yourself and our team. Our team advised you the details of Storm Floris that was direct from the Met Office , not within ATM direct . This information also coincides with your initial email advising us that your pergola had blown over due to winds. As per our website any damage caused by adverse winds / force majeure is not covered by ATM.
Our team have advised you that we believe your property is not suitable for a free standing pergola, as due to winds you have had issues on 2 ocassions.
We can confirm there were no installation issues , no issues were reported until adverse winds occurred.
We apologies for any inconvenience and issues that have arisen. These are circumstances that are out of our hands and control, and have we have tried to give you the best advice possible.

The delivery was one box short according to the installers who promised to return the following week with the right boxes and to install in time for the last few weeks of summer.
Customers service had no idea what was going on and I’m still struggling to get an install date despite being told it would be installed within 10 days of delivery

Rubbish quality garden furniture…
The quality of your garden furniture after only 3 years given the furniture was housed under a pergola and well covered all winter and autum...shocking quality.....so do disappointed at ATMs response ...ie don't care..!! They had previously been so professional regarding tbe pergola. What a let down....don't spend £700 with these guys you would be better off just throwing the money away. So disappointed.

Ordered in June
Ordered in June, and initially contacted by you a week later to be informed there were delays and it was now due early July - no problem. Mid July heard nothing, so I had to contact you and when contacted back was informed it was now going to be end of July - not so good me having to chase it up. End of July came up and heard nothing so chased up again and confirmed it was due in that Friday 29th July and it would be quickly despatched and with me the following week.
Mid-following week and I was contacted by a courier to advise the earliest date they could deliver was Wednesday 13th August - another weeks delay I was unaware of.
I wouldn't have minded the delays if I was kept informed - that would have been positive. But for a £2.5k order to be delayed by 2 months for me to have to chase it up for updates was poor customer service. Not enough to leave a bad review due to the pleasant nature of the staff when I did chase it up - but enough to avoid and not recommend in future.
Review update: I have just read the reply and am a little dismayed about the understanding of good customer service. I clearly stated that the issue was not about the fact that I was told on the phone before ordering that it would be 2 weeks before delivery where in fact it was 2 months, but the issue was being given expected delivery times (on the 2 times I was contacted) whereby I waited until a week had passed after both dates before having to chase it up again. Finally I was told the item was with ATM on the Friday and it would be shipped straight out and with me after the weekend - however it was still 2 weeks away. The arranged date from the courier for the palletised roadside delivery was Wednesday 13th however the courier turned up at 5.30pm on the Tuesday 12th totally unexpected - I was anticipating some sort of confirmatory text or email but just radio silence . Luckily my wife was in or this would have been missed.
I have had more readily available and forthcoming information about delivery times and details on a £7.99 order from Amazon, this review has been based on the fact that I had paid £2.5k to ATM in mid June and was left hanging for at least a week after advised delivery dates came and went, leaving me to chase it up. ATM states that this was good customer service? Based the cost and the fact it’s was a palletised roadside delivery I disagree.

Avoid – still waiting after 2 months!
I hate leaving negative reviews, but ATM Living really leaves you no choice. I ordered and paid in full for a pergola on 28th May. Since then, the delivery date has been pushed back four times, and always only after I’ve chased them.
It was supposed to arrive by 11th June. Then it was delayed to 30th June, then 9th July, then 18th July. It’s now nearly the end of July and I haven’t had a single update or apology.
To make matters worse, I had a porcelain base built specifically for this pergola, and have already bought outdoor furniture that’s now sitting out exposed and getting ruined by the weather.
Absolutely unacceptable service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Our team has been in communication with you throughout the process, providing updates and we can see the team have apologized for any delays, though they are beyond our control. We understand that timely delivery is important, and we always recommend selecting in-stock items if you require immediate dispatch.
It is important to note that a Pergolas purpose is not to cover and protect furniture, and should not be purchased to solely do so, a suitable cover should be purchased and used as per instructions of the manufacturer of the furniture.
We apologise that our service did not meet your standards.

Great product but fraught with delays…
Great product but fraught with delays and issues.
Order placed 12th May, despite confirmation emails stating delivery would be 10 working days, there was no updates and after repeated emails to ATM materials eventually despatched by courier 29th May. Then 11th June I contacted ATM again as no sign of anything to find out courier utilised didn’t deliver to specified area (Aberdeenshire), again further emails chased up on 16th June as still no info. Materials eventually arrived 24th June.
Installation team arrived 1st July and spent 9 hours putting up Pergola and screens one of which couldn’t be installed (damaged) and had to be reordered. (Fitting team were good guys, just clearly not used to installing this type or make of Pergola)
I emailed ATM aftersales team on 2nd July to get replacement blind and rebooking of fitting team arranged.
Chased up the outstanding blind again on 14th July as comms and updates were again poor. Blind arrived Monday 21st. Thursday 24th confirmation received that fitting team would finalise order 14th August !!
I have been very patient through this, but would be cautious of expected timings shared on the website and all sales comms to quote 5-10 days for materials and up to 14 days thereafter for installation. I am waiting 3 months for fully completed installation to happen.
The aftersales support is friendly and helpful, but I was the one always contacting and chasing information down. It should be other way round especially as this order has been delayed with issues all the way through.
I cannot complain about the quality of the product at all it is very well made and happy with what is installed to date, but as I state the work is not yet completed and I hope it will be concluded on 14th August.

Pergola order and fitting
Slow and uncommunicative. Order will nearly be 2months for a Pergola which in itself isn’t a problem if the communication from the firm is there. I bought this Pergola aware of the delays from other reviews but would like to be updated more as so far the only thing to have happened quickly is the sending of invoices from the firm. One positive is that they do respond when I chase for updates. Would be higher rating if a more proactive approach to updating me was made.
Update: Sophie has been great throughout and replies to my emails are responded to within 1 day. Pergola was delivered when the firm said it would be and now just booking a date in with the install team which Sophie has organised efficiently.
I have revised my review to 4* as ATM are responsive every time and normally within 1 day which is quicker than businesses . Once I get to see the pergola up again I would be happy to revise as a quality item if more important to me than a fast turn around

Complete lack of communication
The shipping date came and went and there was no communication from ATM until we called them. When the new date was provided and the Pergola came in to them, they did still not even send a email to this effect. I wouldn't use them again.
