I ordered items in October. My items kept saying "shipping label created, shipping soon" for months. In January, it was finally changed to "shipment cancelled." I called and they can confirm they see the shipping and tracking number was cancelled/ never sent, but they cannot issue me a refund because it has been more than 90 days. I went on their online chat and got the same answer. I don't get a refund because you never sent the items? Now I am out $200. What type of business is this?

Order sent to wrong address

I ordered two items from Athleta at 6:21 on 2/25/24. On the email acknowledging the order I saw they had my old address so I immediately updated the address with the link they provided. They acknowledged the update at 6:24 pm the same day. Today they delivered the items to the WRONG address. "Customer service" could not re-ship the items to the correct address unless I paid for a second order, even though this was THEIR MISTAKE. I told them to cancel the order, but my credit card has already been charged. The Athleta website says the order can't be cancelled, so I will have to dispute the CC charge AFTER 10 DAYS have passed. Their "service" not only SUCKS it is NON-EXISTENT.

Inconsistent sizing within same item

I ordered the same bra in the same size in two different colors. They’re not the same size at all! I measured the fabric on the front of the sports bra and it is half an inch shorter than the other color causing cleavage spillage in navy but not in black! $50 for a sports bra that has crap quality! I don’t think so!

Purchased a jacket/sweater online for…

Purchased a jacket/sweater online for an event. Absolutely loved the quality. Hung it in the closet until the event. Put it on, it has a security device attached to it! Couldn't wear it to the event. The next day went to my local store in the mall. 2 sales associates are in the store, one is ringing up a customer. I explain to the 1st associate the security device and show her my online receipt. She starts laughing while saying she's sorry. Ok, I'm not amused but I don't say anything. After she removes it she hands it back, I say "you know, this is inconvenient for me to have to bring this into the store to remove. Do you have a coupon/promo code that I could use on a future purchase for my inconvenience"? She says you will have to talk to the other associate. By this time the 2nd associate has finished ringing up the other customer. Now the 2 associates and the customer are having a discussion about the customers hair...while I'm standing there waiting. When they finish the 2nd associate says to me "we don't have coupons/promo codes". I walked out. Glad you found my situation humorous Athleta. I will not be back!

We ordered 9 items for Christmas last…

We ordered 9 items for Christmas last Sunday with rush shipping that we paid $25 extra for. Shipment delivery kept being moved. Called today and they can't locate the shipment. Really. They are very sorry and just credited everything back. Merry Christmas!
So I looked on their website and that's confusing too. Tells me a store 15 miles from me "might have it". I called customer service to see if they could please verify the actual inventory. That was a mistake. I was under the mistaken impression that they would want to help. The do not. They don't care. Just drone off a script on how I should look on the website blablabla. Asked for a supervisor and apparently they don't exist! The customer no-service rep did wish me a Merry Christmas at the end of the call.

A brand like Athleta. Shame on them for treating customers this way.

I am selecting the "let Athleta know". Let's see if any of the executives actually care.

No issues with this retailer

Athleta has prices higher than many other brands but I find their styles and general quality to be good. I bought, kept and returned many things from Athleta the past 5 years and haven't experienced any customer service or return/shipping issues. The website is also easy to browse and the sizing seems close to their chart.

Too small. Miss the old ones

I ordered the momentum seamless tank top in a small . It always used to fit terrific as I have about 10 of them. This newer version I would considered a childs size, and it was final sale and now I know why. Ugh. Thinner fabric and teensy.

Good quality products and great…

Good quality products and great customer service! Unlike the other reviewers, I have not had any bad experiences with this company. One time I forgot to login to my account on the app before placing the order so I didn’t get the points. I just called customer service and they corrected it for me. I’m not saying the other reviewers didn’t have those experiences, but mine have been positive and I will continue to shop this brand.

if there is a zero star, I will give zero

I recently made my first purchase from Athleta, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a highly disappointing experience. As someone who is color weak, I encountered significant difficulties while navigating their website. The site's design lacks consideration for individuals like me, making it challenging to discern crucial information, such as the "final sale" label displayed in black against a gray background.

Upon realizing that my purchase was marked as a final sale through an email notification, I immediately contacted their customer service to cancel the order. However, I was met with complete inflexibility. Despite being a first-time customer and having no prior knowledge of their sizing, the representative refused my request to cancel the order or reject the shipment upon delivery. This lack of customer-centricity left me feeling frustrated and dismayed.

One would expect that a reputable brand like Athleta would provide better customer service and show some leniency for new customers facing such predicaments. To prevent similar incidents in the future, they should take proactive measures to ensure critical information like "final sale" is highlighted prominently in bold letters and placed at the top of the product page.

Comparing my experience with Athleta to that of Lulu, another activewear brand, only amplifies my disappointment. Lulu has consistently gone above and beyond to assist their customers, making the process of purchasing from them a breeze.

Regrettably, I have no interest in opening the package from Athleta, and not interested to try their products ever again. My first interaction with the brand has left a bitter taste, and I will be sticking with Lulu for my activewear needs moving forward.

In conclusion, I hope that Athleta takes this feedback constructively and makes significant improvements to their website design and customer service approach. Until then, I cannot recommend this brand to anyone, especially those with visual impairments or color deficiencies like myself.

Don’t ever buy merchandise from…

Don’t ever buy merchandise from Atheleta that marks FINAL SALE that’s online. The exact items were purchased in the past doesn’t mean the next one has the same fit.
Very disappointed for me that I have been a customer for many years!!

I like the products, but...

I like the products, hence 2 stars versus 1. The items I purchased online were further reduced by 30% within a few days of making my purchase. The day my package arrived (about a week after I made the purchase) I called customer service to request a price adjustment, but was told 'no' since they were clearance items. The agent I spoke to said he 'understood how I feel', but couldn't adjust the price.
What a terrible policy. Fill my Instagram feed with news of a 60% off sale, I take the bait, then fill my feed telling me what I just bought is 30% cheaper, then refuse to adjust the price. I feel duped.

Athleta has POOR a system for exchanges.

I love the products from Athleta. However, their exchange system is pathetic. If you have rewards points applied to your order and you want to exchange for a different size, you have to go to their physical store or send back the order, wait TWO weeks before your rewards are applied back to your account so that when you order the correct size, they will be applied. That's a THREE week wait to just exchange for a different size. The supervisors don't even have any ability to speed up this process. Athleta really needs to catch up speed with its competing companies that offer much more realistic time frames for a SIMPLE exchange. Athleta products are awesome, but their system is archaic!

Won't return my gift card!

May 17, 2023 I ordered a pair of endless pants using a gift card. May 24, 2023 I received an email saying my order was awaiting cancellation. No other exclamation.
I called customer service and they said the gift card would be emailed in 24 to 48 hours. When after a few days not receiving it, I called back and was told the same thing. I called 4 times and was told the same thing. After 28 days they finally let me talk to a manager and she said she would be handling it and would keep in touch. It is now June 14 and still no gift card returned. This is absolutely unbelievable. I have never dealt with a company like this. I doubt seriously that I will ever get my $100.00 gift card back.

Inoperable website

I couldn’t get into their website after trying several browsers. Then, when I finally got in, I tried to place an order but there were so many pop-up windows that their web-site wouldn’t let me place my order. This company is a complete waste of time. Don’t bother with it. They have some dumb marketing department who doesn’t understand that customers need to be able to browse and place an order. The marketing department is probably compensated on some ridiculous measure that totally obstructs the customer experience. I couldn’t order anything!!
Even the phones wouldn’t answer.

I ordered two pairs of the Brooklyn…

I ordered two pairs of the Brooklyn pants, size 4Tall
One pair fit great, the other tagged a 4T was too big yet 2 inches shorter. The tag said 4T and the label inside the waistband said 6! Very disappointing. I don't like shopping nor having to return things based on the company's mistakes. Consistent quality is what makes me want to shop with a brand. This time Athleta fell short.
Customer service was pleasant and refunded me for the pants immediately.

Athleta did not publish my justified…

Athleta did not publish my justified very negative one star review of a badly designed dress. I have been a loyal customer for years. Censorship going on? They may be suppressing some of the negative reviews. Disappointing. I have come to prefer Lululemon for this and other reasons. They also still design clothing for slimmer figures. Athleta has been making larger and larger clothing leaving the slimmer clientele behind.

I love Athleta clothing but there’s some nonsense going on.

I love Athleta clothing, but I have a complaint about their practices. They don’t ship receipts with online orders so when i needed to return an item, and they ask for the receipt, I said they don’t send receipts with orders. And she said the BAG IT CAME IN IS THE RECEIPT! The dirty shipping bag? Who keeps those? They’re disgusting. If she meant the plastic bags the item comes in (inside the shipping bag) 1) they don’t always send those and 2) I don’t keep those laying around either! Aren’t they suffocation hazards for humans and pets?? Just put the receipt in the bag, Athleta. Geez how hard is that. It was an inconvenience for your employee.

UNACCEPTABLE WAIT TIME FOR REFUNDS

The amount of time it takes to get a refund is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I've reached out TWICE to customer service asking about the status of my refund that was received by them weeks ago and they just tell you to wait. This has happened with a previous order, too. Now I'm assuming my order will get lost in the shuffle of all the Christmas returns and I'll have to reach out to them YET AGAIN wondering where my refund is. Terrible and inconvenient!
Also, they use a shipping company called UDS that oftentimes steals or misdelivers packages. Do I need anymore reasons to stop shopping at Athleta? I don't think so.

Will never shop with Athleta again!

Placed an order for 2 items on November 26, 2022. 5 days later I receive an email stating that one of the items is unavailable. I receive the other item which was just awful. I was surprised as I have ordered many items over the years and never had any problems. I request a return the same day I received the item and shipped it the next day. I call December 22, 13 days after shipping to inquire about my refund, I am told it takes 15 business days and I will have my refund no later than December 28. Still no refund December 29 so I call again, now I’m told I will have a refund by January 5. Getting the run around! It’s too bad but I will never shop with Athleta again after being a customer since they began.

Awful customer service

I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. Athletes has great products, but good luck getting any support. They send me almost daily emails and when I go to order products they tell me my email is not valid. Hmmmm…if you are sending me emails, and I’m receiving them, then my email is valid. I can’t order anything online due to this “glitch”. When I call customer service they tell me someone will solve this in 24-48 hours. I never hear back. So much for that $500 cart if items. Delete!!!!
