Following a very difficult few months
Following a very difficult few months, a looming home repossession and subsequent divorce financial remedy in court I needed to speak to someone who would understand my predicament and show compassion with my situation...luckily I managed to speak to Claire.

I was apprehensive initially , but the the gentleman conducting the interview soon put me at my ease. He explained the process thoroughly , and gave me time to answer questions in detail and I was able to put my case forward . I think his handling of the interview was first class.

My landlord hired Ascent to harass me…
My landlord hired Ascent to harass me in a Section 21 no fault eviction. They sent round a thug who yelled at my wife, why haven't you paid your rent? As soon as she opened the door. We have never been a penny in arrears. Ascent are a rent-a-thug outfit for unscrupulous, dishonest landlords to bully and harass tenants. Of course they have ignored my complaints.

Absolutely fuming to be called by this…
Absolutely fuming to be called by this debt collection agency close to end of business Friday when I’m sitting by a pool on holiday. I missed the call. I call back to be told that they can’t tell me what it’s about. I google and find it’s a debt collection agency. I call and ask what it’s about as to my knowledge I have NO DEBT. No, I’m not reassured that it’s Irwin Mitchell calling to see if I’m entitled to a fee remission for a claim they are dealing with. No, not that. Instead I’m told I have to wait to speak to a person who isn’t answering their phone. They don’t know what the amount of debt is or who I’m supposed to owe.
When I do speak to this person it turns out it’s nothing, I could deal with it by email next week. Nothing urgent. Not about a debt claim at all. I’m absolutely spitting chips to be cold called about NOTHING and that some bored person just doesn’t give a monkeys nuts that they leave someone stewing for an hour or maybe a whole weekend! Outrageous ! I’ve logged a complaint.
Why the hell do they think that I’ll be happy to discuss the nature and extent of my finances while going about my business during the day to a total stranger on a phone call. They need to give their heads a wobble ! I’d give them zero stars if it were possible
I don’t have a reference to quote (because no one gave me one!) but when the review is looked at by Ascent perhaps the reader at this company can advise IM and any other agency to use email instead of asking me to call and talk about it!!!!

Incompetent
This company is completely incompetent. Eviction notice received, Mortgage up to date with santander and ascent wouldn't cancel the possession order on my house as I had no reference number. The reference number they told me was on the letters that they never sent me. But they couldn't check if they had actually sent the letters as they couldn't access my file without the reference number. Santander had to step in and stop the eviction themselves as Ascent refused to help me. Yanik from Santander was the only person who helped me, Yanik was incredible and I'm very grateful to him.
Almost homeless because they couldn't access an account without a reference number that nobody had access to!
The stress has been incredibly difficult to deal with. I've had 2 days off work trying to sort this out which has cost me as I have no sick pay.

The staff based within the Russell Drive branch, Wollaton, Nottingham are consistently patient, knowledgeable and supportive.
Without exception the staff are kind and willing to help with any questions. Nothing is too much trouble.In particular most recently Martina.

I would like to Thank Ascent in…
I would like to Thank Ascent in particular Peter Smith- for a very long road we walked together- enabling me to conclude and pay a loan against my daughter’s property- I was able to seek finance then via solicitor purchase the debt- this enabled my daughters family to remain in the property- this was a very difficult time due multiple problems caused a range of unusual problems - including DV & I’ll health- However I can not speak more highly of Peter Smith- he was there to listen and we talked through best ways to resolve issues as thy cropped up. I was able to email- and call in and leave a message for him to contact me if he wasn’t available- giving me chance to go through the new development s - when he was back at work- He never failed to call when appt was made - I had helpful thoughtful responses even when I sometimes had to leave matters with him and fixing call back times. There were very sensitive need’s regarding family issues - We did however communicate once a month to keep on top- This person is a credit to the company- it was a long journey to resolve and all matters are now settled. Thank you once again Peter! This person company should offer his skills in training new staff , his customer services are outstanding .

I was alone also very frightened in taking the next step in moving forward. On meeting the lovely lady she was patient kind also caring. Sarah put me at ease by being so very patient also understanding.explaining that she wasn't there to take my property. She was indeed to support me in trying to move forward by taking bit size steps.i had gotten myself into the lowest of all lows.trying to survive on such a low income also family crisis.
I hope and I pray that I can indeed move forward slowly on this path of recovery.
Thank you sincerely from my heart. Anyone out there feeling so alone, in debt not knowing what or where or who to turn too. I highly recommend this company.
