TLDR: hire this man!

We initially reached out to Alaur to request a quote for a survey on a property with a history of subsidence. He called us on the same day of our enquiry (a Sunday afternoon) to tell us *not* to hire him. He thought the property was no good and wanted to notify us before we spent money on a survey for a property that would only disappoint us - saved us a lot of money, time, and hassle.

Someone who calls you on their day off to tell you not to give them money is someone I trust to do a proper job, so when we found another property, we instructed Alaur without a second thought.

He provided a fast, thorough, and transparent service. He called us upon delivery of the report to talk us through his findings in detail, and offered to have further conversations if we had any questions on any of the details in the report.

I cannot recommend Arc Consultants enough, brilliant service.

ARC responded promptly to my enquiry for assistance with a building survey for an insurance claim that has been dragging on. Before committing to a professional service contract they discussed the next steps I should take and highlighted the shortfalls and responsibilities of the insurance company. This provided reassurance to me and the advice has enabled me to get the insurance company to progress matters. I have been quoted for the survey if it is needed in the future.

We had a great experience with Alaur. Even before we booked, he took the time to explain what qualifications to look for in a proper RICS surveyor and what to avoid, which was so helpful. His honesty stood out from the very first phone call, which made us feel confident we were in good hands. The survey was thorough and clearly explained, and we received the report within 48 hours. Alaur then was really patient at explaining anything we were confused about. Really professional, knowledgeable and supportive throughout. The survey was also more reasonably priced than other quotes we had received. Highly recommend!

A phone call to go over every part of the survey was given and they wasn’t in a rush to get off the phone.

Exceptional surveyor! I’ve had 4 property surveys done now & ARC was by far the best. The communication before was great; very professional and Alaur asked what concerns I had about the property and answered them after the survey. The survey was very comprehensive (I had a level 2 after Alaur’s recommendation; I had actually requested a level 3, but he told me it wasn’t necessary for my property - He could have completed the level 3 and pocketed a few extra hundred quid - This is a very trustworthy surveyor. The level 2 survey by Alaur was way more comprehensive than the level 3 undertaken on a different property by a different company only a few months ago). He rang me after he had surveyed the property to go through everything in summary, and answer the questions I had. Outstanding service, and worth every penny. I wish I had found ARC when I bought my first property. I wouldn’t use anyone else now. You are missing a trick if you don’t use this company. 100% recommended.
