Purchased 15,000 worth of Gold and Silver at 1900.00 per ounce. Recently looked to sell the assets for a move into crypto when Gold was at 2700.00 per ounce. Was told by my broker that the amount I would receive back to move was now 14,000 with fees. Account was handled by Equity Trust which showed a value of 28,000. I was taken back since I believed with the close to 40 percent increase in gold over that time period that I would be cashing out at a profit. Shady explanation regarding the selling back of the assets. I lost a thousand dollars of my investment even though there was a significant increase in value. Shady operation.
