Tax Rebate Con
I get paid from an agency through advance, they made suggestion to do this year tax rebate. I agreed and let them proceed. The whole time i asked what they would take as a fee or percentage and every time they wouldn’t give me an answer (Ross Williams - “Can’t remember off the top of my head”). The guy I was dealing with wouldn’t tell me till the rebate had hit there account. In which I was shocked they took 25% for there fee and then another 20% for VAT taking near enough half of my rebate. Shocking service do not use for any rebate or accounting work

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we’re genuinely sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with our service.
To clarify, our fee structure is clearly outlined in the Terms & Conditions provided in the Tax Return booklet, and we always ensure our clients are made aware of this during the initial sales call. The default percentage applied is either 22%+VAT or £349+VAT, whichever is higher.
The representatives you spoke to initially are part of our consolidation team and do not calculate the final rebate or fee, this responsibility lies with our Submissions team once all relevant information has been gathered. Whilst we understand it can be frustrating not to have an exact figure upfront; this is due to the varying nature of individual tax returns and rebate amounts.

The personnel I dealt with are all fabulous but the necessity to endure this questioning each contract is a pain .
I’m the one who will have to deal with HMRC not the paymaster so I find this procedure annoying .
