The North West Division are not 5* House builders
Hello Ross, as of 14.04.2025 with reference to your update, I have not been contacted by anyone regarding this issue so please amend your update.
Tiles have fallen off our roof twice in the first 12 months of moving into our brand new home. On 24.02.25, 17 homes on our street (there are only around 40) also lost tiles, 13 lost tiles from the same place on the roof, does this not sound like a fault in the fitting of the tiles??? I am genuinely scared to use my front door when it’s windy as the tiles are huge and would certainly cause injury if it landed on you!
The houses are built facing an open expanse of several miles which is prone to high winds. Our tiles were fixed with only 54mm nails and some tiles no nails at all, the specific tiles used according to the NHBC state they should be a minimum 75mm. The NHBC specifically states “subject to withdrawal resistance determined by wind uplift calculations“
I submitted a formal complaint on 05.02.25 and The NW division has failed to adhere to their own formal complaint procedure as I have had no update, never mind a solution.
It seems they only contact you if you pay for a solicitor, once again evidence of their two tier customer care. I am absolutely fed up of spending my time chasing issues, which if had been done right in the first place would save everyone time, effort and money.
I am always extremely nice and polite and in turn I am constantly lied to being told someone will phone, Customer Care team please, please stop saying this.
