Disappointing lack of flexibility for genuine gift return

I’ve always associated this brand with quality and good customer service, which is why this experience has been disappointing.

An item was purchased in-store on 26 December as a Christmas sale gift and given to me for my birthday on 9 February. Unfortunately, it is too large and cannot be worn. The item remains completely unused and in original condition with tags attached.

I contacted customer service to request a goodwill exception, as the extended Christmas return window had expired before the gift was even given to me. I fully understand published policies, however I had hoped for some discretion given the genuine gift circumstances and the fact the item is in perfect resale condition.

Despite escalating the request, no flexibility has been offered.

It’s frustrating that there appears to be no consideration for situations like this, especially when the item is unused and was purchased in good faith.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Wish I’d read these reviews before ordering. Placed order hoping it would arrive in time for Christmas but so far 2 weeks have passed and my order is still in china. No response to emails. UPDATE - I received and email basically saying the goods have been delivered and no offer of a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - BEWARE - AVOID - SCAM

Smooth, well organised installation

We had a new phone system installed at the offices of Pump Engineering Limited. Martin Cosgrove, the installation engineer, had put in some leg wok already, before he arrived, to ensure as little disruption to our day as possible and it all went to plan. The install was smooth and well organised. Martin was very professional, personable and efficient. He worked well, he knew our requirements and even took the time to show us all individually how to use the new phones.

Sadly disappointed in dispatch delay

Sadly disappointed in dispatch delay. Out of necessity I upgraded from my sim only deal on 5th Oct and checked out my order at 15:09, well within the cut off time for the advertised next day delivery. I received, instantly, my email order confirmation. As the next day rolled on I did not receive any contact from Tescomobile or DPD so when I got home from work to find there had been no delivery I started a chat. The Tesco colleague argued that my order hadn’t in fact been confirmed officially until the day after and promised, again, that my phone would be with me the following day. Yesterday came and went and still no dispatch notification so another chat started and that colleague still was not able to assure me when my phone would be dispatched. So disappointed I have been without a phone now since Wednesday with no clue as to how long that will go on for. In the end I have cancelled my upgrade and been and got one direct from the store.

Car Chase Heroes ruined my 40th Birthday

Car Chase Heroes ruined my 40th Birthday.

I was bought an Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee driving experience for my 40th birthday back in Feb 2020 and then COVID hit. Id always wanted to drive an American truck and the bumble bee was a great addition. I was over the moon.

After covid, I finally booked my experience for April 2022 at Abingdon.

The day before my husband and I drove to Abingdon (2 hours from home), checked in to the hotel, only to receive a text that evening cancelling for technical issues with both cars. I was gutted and out of pocket fuel and a hotel stay.

The message said to email or call to rearrange, I sent email after email and called and called and could not get through to anyone and got no response to my emails. In the end we complained to the the gift experience people who got in touch with Car Chase Heroes and they finally emailed and asked me to call them.

Finally in July, I managed to speak to someone about rebooking an event I'd seen on their list of events, but when I told the lady the dates, she told me that event was not on, low and behold, when I cheeked again online it had disappeared. Back to the drawing board.

I went away and found another event and spent days trying to reach a person to book.

In the end I just wanted to get it over and done with so booked to drive a Nissan GTR32 and the General Lee at a track 4 hours from home. Once again this was cancelled in the days leading up to it. Technical issue with both cars again.

I just had enough at that point and cancelled the whole thing. I had such a horrendous experience and haven't even set foot on a course. They seem to be terribly disorganised, possibly under staffed and they fail to provide the special experience you'd expect from a day out.

My husband ended up getting his money back from the gift experience people and had to fight tooth and nail for the extra £25 Car Chase took off me for booking with them.

Terrible experience and will never want to use them for my driving experiences in the future.

Be careful!!

Disappointing level of service

I am disappointed in the level of service with Ransom Spares. I needed the part I ordered quickly and trusted the website description that said they had stock and that it would be despatched the next working day on standard delivery of 3-5 days. Nearly two weeks on and I still have no part. Every time I contact them they say they are chasing their supplier and they will come back to me, but they don't. Why ask the supplier? your website says you have stock. I have ordered the part elsewhere today and it is already on its way. I have asked for a refund. Shame!
