Excellent ordering and service
Excellent ordering and service. Friendly, efficient staff. Slabs were high quality with excellent consistency. One minor breakage refunded. The access to our house is slightly restricted making it unsuitable for very large wagons...no problem as a smaller vehicle was arranged. Repeat order easily added. All in all an excellent company to deal with as our Palletways your delivery guys. We will be using you again for our next project!

WHICH were right - truly excellent customer service!
I'm deaf and only hear using a cochlear implant backed up by electronics which makes using a very phone hard so I avoid it wherever possible. Via the online Octopus website I had a suspicion that I had not selected correctly so called for advice. A brief musical queue stating high call volumes offered the option to send an email, so whilst waiting I started to write one on my phone....I didn't finish it before my call was answered by Jack. I explained my hearing difficulties might require some repetition and he was fine with this. I gave some details and he immediately found my account and noted that I had indeed selected the wrong tariff for what I wanted but it was an easy slip to make and he could see why I had selected the way I had. No worries it could be easily amended.
Because I now wanted to switch to a tariff to receive payment for exporting power from my solar panels he explained I would need to provide some further information which was too much complication for my poor ears so he said no problem he would send me an explanatory email with links as required. I said what if I still have a query and need to ask, he said not a problem the email reply would arrive for his attention and he would deal with it.
I found his knowledge of Octopus processes to be excellent and his demeanor was really friendly such that the whole process was a pleasure not a chore and left me feeling confident that matters would progress to a satisfactory conclusion. At all times Jack made me feel that I was in the hands of a professional who knew his stuff and he had no issues with repeating things slowly in places for my troubled hearing.
When I looked into my email sure enough there was a truly helpful summary of our conversation together with details of what information I needed to provide to allow him to proceed with my tariff change. I have forwarded it too my system installer and await their response to proceed. I am confident when I do proceed all will go well.
Suffice to say that the whole process of calling Octopus customer service was relatively quick with an option offered to email instead but most of all the agent Jack could not have been a better person to talk to....Thanks Jack & Octopus...I can see why WHICH rate you so highly.

Attempts to replace a smashed personalised mug
I smashed a special personally worded mug belonging to my partner and Emma Bridgewater staff tried to match the pattern via emailed photos. Although it was discovered that the pattern used had been discontinued I found the staff very helpful and pleasant to deal with. As a result I purchased a replacement in a different pattern plus another personalised mug and a stock horsey one too! Great service - well played.
My partner was very pleased

Slow to start - then excellent
I applied for Nationwide to arrange my EPC on a Wednesday afternoon and received immediate 'thank we will be in touch shortly' emails. I then heard nothing at all on the Thursday so emailed for an update. On the Friday morning following my update request I received an email that my case had been referred to a suitable contractor but I then heard nothing that day or on the Saturday. On the Monday I received contact from the assessor who very promptly visited my property and uploaded the EPC within 3 hours so no complaint there. What worries me is the Nationwide site claims within 24 hours but my wait for assessor contact was over 96hrs. I think that when 24hrs had elapsed after making my payment to Nationwide they should have had an action to update immediately why they were not meeting their advertised standard. End result good - thanks Dan, but initial management of the process pretty poor in my opinion. Thanks, Howard

Excellent attentive service from…
Excellent attentive service from Christopher Ball the PB property expert who went the extra mile to help make sure my house was as well presented as possible. Allowing time to move things about by coming in different days and advising what to do to present best. Worded the advert superbly picking up on good features plus helped me to upload a couple of pics of my own. Price discussion was sensible with sound educated comparisons with other properties. Very efficient and helpful throughout.Most of all Chris was cheerful and a joy to work with through the process. Really hope all PB guys are as good as my partner will be selling her house in Ellesmere soon and I know who I’ll recommend.

Employer contributions to my SIPP
As a company director I wanted to arrange to pay this years employer pension contributions into my SIPP from the company account but the only debit card on file was the one attached to my personal ISA. I could find no other way of performing this action so I called the help desk and opted for 5 SIPPs.
A friendly voice (Anna V) took my call and explained that I could not carry out this function on line as Interact Investors policy for Employers Contributions required the completion of a Contribution Form in the same way that I had made the initial contributions last year. I expressed disdain that this seemed very archaic but, accepting that was not Anna's fault, she led me to the page where the forms could be found and gave me the address to send my completed form. I sincerely hope that those who can change this to allow it to be transferred on line are reading this as it is very inconvenient and not at all the slick way one is used too with Interactive Investor but I have nothing but praise for Anna V as she dealt with a hard of hearing frustrated investor in a pleasant, professional and as helpful as possible manner. Well Done!
