When stuff is not in stock it would be useful to know. We had a 10 day delivery delay and were due to be away. They rang and I explained so they said they would contact me prior to despatch but didn't. Luckily our holiday was delayed and we were in.

12 weeks for a footstool

12 weeks for a footstool? Seems excessive. After my last experience I wouldn't shop here but I need a matching piece. This time I will make them leave it outside, check it and I'll bring it in myself. Just say no to damaged property.

Self assembly at this price?

Works well and looks good but is expensive especially given that it is self assembly. The knobs, switches, faceplates etc are not fitted together so you have to create your own assembly line and its very fiddly. Setup with Home Assistant was quick and easy though.

Don't walk, run

Don't walk, run away as fast as you can. On delivery there were two problems. Firstly they damaged my newly painted wall. The removals people moved a 5 bedroom house in without damaging the walls, so this was an achievement in and of itself. Next we discovered that the linkage holding two halves of this £2,300 sofa are incorrect and need to be replaced. Quality control be damned. "Don't worry!" the delivery guy said, "they will contact you on Monday and fix everything." Monday came and went. Tuesday came and went. Finally I raised the issues on their web portal. On Wednesday I received a call from them, very sorry, damage reported by delivery people isn't passed on to customer services. Please send photos of the wall, the ones taken by the delivery guys aren't good enough. OK, I emailed the photos, and got a reply pointing out that the damage was cosmetic. Correct, I replied, that's exactly what paint is. Cosmetic. Can you fix it please? No, but here's £80. I don't want £80, a decorator won't get out of bed for £80. I want you to fix it. No can do. So I've parked that while I try and get the sofa fixed, which is a different department so someone will get back to me. Can I send photos of the whole sofa? Why, there isn't anything wrong with the whole sofa, just a missing part? It's the process. You know, the processes we have to ensure customer dissatisfaction and make it difficult. Nope, not doing another David Bailey and email ping pong. I've lost all faith now, please come and take it away. OK no problem, we will proceed without the photos. We will post the missing parts and someone will be in touch to book a technician to fix it. So this morning I got a call to arrange the fix in two weeks time. Makes me think they might be busy. Sounds like lots of sofas need fixing. I'll update as and when but I want to make sure that others are warned.

Prompt and questions answered quickly. I couldn't find the cutter that was part of the order so emailed in and got a prompt response that it was taped inside the roll.

Had to fire them after 3 months

Unresponsive, slow and incompetent. Nearly lost our house so we fired them, hired Bromets Jackson Heath LLP and exchanged in 2 days. Bear in mind this was a cash sale, no lender. These were their final updates:

Status: 24/02 - We are preparing our file for exchange. The matter has been escalated to our Legal Director for review and we await sign off in order to proceed. We will update all parties once in receipt.

Just a referral site, beware

Firstly this is a semi-referral service. They refer you to a firm of conveyancers (Convey Law in my case) but do some of the work, for example the searches, themselves. If they pass you to a great conveyancer then I imagine it goes well, however in our case it was a disaster and they were unable to help. We had to contact them to get the searches started because the conveyancer did not. When no progress was made for 3 consecutive weeks we asked them to get involved and were told they aim for average service and only have the same information that we have from the conveyancer.
The other issue is the price. The quoted price is the starting price not a fixed price. They tell you this in the quotation and it's important that you heed that, the end price will not be related to the starting price.
The updates from Convey Law:

Received promptly well packaged

Ordered headphones on Sunday which included overnight delivery so was expected Tuesday via DPD but arrived Wednesday. Everything was in order, would recommend.

Nightmare experience

Nightmare experience booking through here. It took 3 days to resolve all of the issues. For example 13 rooms booked for 8 people at Hyatt, 7 rooms booked under 1 name at Marriott, cancellation fees with no invoice and no response from customer service. Unless you have a lot of time to waste go elsewhere.

Guaranteed model (Golf) was not available.
Queues at the rental counter despite online check in.
Hire is at the airport but return is off airport, so you need to leave 30 minutes early
