Be very careful with Expedia.
I booked a Hotel in Rio for February 2027 called "Own Ipanema Visconti" with Itinerary number: #72071378204981
Few weeks later, I receive a doggy call from someone very uninterested in doing his job saying the hotel could not honour my booking. When I asked him why, instead of telling me the truth which I would have understood, (We all make mistakes). He said, well this things happen, we stopped working with that hotel. I thought ok, fair enough. So I enquired with the hotel on whatsapp and they told me it was because they were not longer working with expedia and hotels.com due to their high fees, and encouraged me to book directly with them. Now is when the funny part begins. I booked directly with them. Few days after I find from other review that was later deleted by expedia / hotels.com that this is not a hotel that is in operation. Stopped operating in 2024 and some scammers they use the name and list it in this platforms to scam people. This is a very serious breach in expedia verification systems to allow a Hotel that does not exist to be listed in their website. And even worse! not tell you the truth so you don't make the mistake of booking directly with them!. I asked a local friend who lives in Rio to go to the hotel adress to check if it exists. But guess what: It does not. Thanks expedia! Now I have been scammed by someone pretending to be this hotel thanks to you. On top of that, when your team contacted me to give me rebooking options, gave me 2 really bad options not even similar to the original category and area of the hotel I booked so I would ask for a refund, instead of offering me a hotel of similar category in same area. Again, I was a gold customer in expedia until not long ago. Since this happened to me, I will try to avoid them whenever I can. If they don't make this right for me, I will stop using them and keep telling everyone how bad they are in every possible website online.

I love my yearly travel insurance with Wanda by avios, well priced with lots of perks! 10GB yearly eSIM, 3000 avios welcome bonus, Gym class passes, flightdelay compensation, etc and I hope to never need to use the emergency medical assistance, but as I could not find who was providing the assistance for this policy anywhere I called the assistance number and simply asked. They picked up the phone really quick, which is a good sign. The medical assistance is provided by CEGA, which they are a good and legitimate assistance company with good reputation. Could not be happier. Don't be scared by bad reviews as people only post online their bad experiences or only go online to complain. I know this first hand as I work for another assistance company myself.

It was the first time that I had to use my travel insurance, and taurus was providing the gadget insurance for my puffin policy.
I had the bad lack of having my phone smashed while on holidays and the following day damaged by water while doing canopy due to heavy rain and shortly after my phone died and became a brick. Standard insurance documentation required and sent over to them. After 2 days my claim was approved, and I was given the option to take the iPhone to the apple store for repair which is my preferred option. On the same day they confirmed payment had been made it was received in my bank account with policy excess deducted.

The most incompetent people I've ever dealt with, specifically compliance for Barts.
Every year when my compliance is exporing such a pain to deal woth them to get it updated. This year, expiring in less than a week and after multiple calls and emails still has not been updated.

They changed my driver last minute for a cheaper one and with bad reviews, who was 2 hours late, asked me for more money cause they pay him peanuts he said. very bad experience.

Thanks to the tracking number, saw my parcel was marked as delivered to neighbour, card left. But didn't receive any card, So I couldn't know where mas parcel had been left, as the tracking details don't provide that information. Contacted Yodel using the chat available in the tracking website, and Jenna, who was very kind and helpful, gave me the name and adress of my neightbour. I Went there and collected my parcel.
