Bresser 5 in 1 weather station failed - No parts

purchased a Bresser 5 in 1 weather station via Amazon. The outdoor sensors worked perfectly for 3 years and then the outdoor unit suddenly failed with no warning , no Temp / humidity readings were possible. Also to cap it all the wind vane direction indicator snapped when I took the unit off the mounting post to check the fault. I searched online for spare parts and was very surprised to find there is nothing available, no replacement direction vane or temperature module. Please make key modular replacement parts available for the outdoor weather sensor unit. Many people have had similar experiences on various user Forums. For a good company like Bresser, this is not a good long term reliability record and the sensors should last much longer than the reported 2-3 year lifespan that has been witnessed by Forum users. The standard guarantee is 2 years ,so If the temp sensors do statistically fail in this time span then modular parts should be readily available. Not very happy with longer term user experience and I want to replace parts , seems I have bought a throw away unit..

Customer support - Good UK Outdoor Company

I have purchased in the past , good UK company and generally Regatta have been acceptable quality , However I recently purchased outdoor hiking shoes, they failed after a few months due to bonding of the sole. The company have been responsive about the quality issue to resolve it. I am getting resolution on a replacement pair of shoes now, so that is good. Please make them a bit stronger and durable to last.

Zero Support - past liquidated Company and avoiding responsibility

Bought a pair of outdoor shoes and they were defective. Company claimed they had changed ownership and would not help me with warranty. This says it all with this lot, Hiding behind different company identities with the same online shop, same website, same items, same letterheads, same logo and invoices and the same directors. You can read about it all in many of the other reviews as well, with similar experiences. Pathetic attitude to customers. Buy elsewhere if you need support..

Following this, selected assets were acquired through a management buyout and the brand was relaunched under a new legal entity. Customer Support - Good - Have Resolved issues


I had to contact Vida XL for customer support as the product components did not fit together. Their Team were courteous and resolved the issue rapidly. As feedback the company need to improve the quality assurance of the flatpack assemblies, by fully testing and checking their own instructions first and providing properly labelled parts. To be fair they have now rectified my issue and were easily contactable. A representative also called me from the Netherlands to discuss the issues. 3 stars due to the original issues. Bikeinn - Terrible AI Customer service - Not Recommended


Ordered 2 items from Bikeinn , one item was unfortunately returned as it went to the wrong address. The RM and international courier tracking shows that it was sent back to Spain where they are based. For a month I have tried to get my refund, they only reply with messages saying I will be refunded once it arrives, instead of checking with their courier for the status and return of the item which was returned a month ago. The item returned was worth £ 38, I will inform Paypal as customer support is useless and AI replies are generated, I do not recommend Bikeinn, If you return anything to them it will get lost in their system in Spain and they don't take any responsibility to close out delivery issues.

Communication and service quality poor - expensive third party delivery

Expensive Bike was picked up in South of England to be delivered to NE Scotland. When the bike was picked up from senders location, no delivery email was ever sent. I chased up and they did not have the courtesy to reply. I had then to chase the sender multiple times to find out the status as the delivery company as they were not informing me as the receiver. On the delivery day tracking went live and it took about 9 hours to go from Glasgow to Aberdeenshire criss-crossing the country, no approximate delivery drop off time or sequence order number provided, left me guessing all day. I then saw the tracking van go to a nearby address location, eventually a heavy goods company company called me and I had to provide them directions as they got the post codes mixed up , they finally arrived at 8pm, there was no bike set up shand-over service or check. It was a standard Glasgow based company that delivered, not the Bike Services company that I expected. Apparently they charged total of £ 210 to deliver the bike from the sender and this included a third party from Glasgow for the delivering the last leg using a surcharge fee. Very expensive charge for basic delivery. The £5 K Bike was also loosely stored in the van with other non-bike items and with no real protection on it, the parts were in a carrier bag. I was surprised at the poor service quality of this company, which advertises as a bespoke delivery Service. Overall process took 1 week with poor communications. I don't like giving poor reviews , but this service was not up to expectations. Maybe it works okay for South of the Border.

Unacceptable assembly Instructions

Item was delivered and packed well. I am very annoyed by the poor assembly instructions , no numbered parts at all to identify the dozens of parts, and complete guesswork has to be involved wasting your valuable time. La Redoute please get your act together. An expensive item , probably way overpriced for what you get , overall the assembly instructions are unacceptable. I cannot recommend based on this headboard purchase.

Seems to be a theme here - Poor experience in this shop

Seems to be a theme here. I went to Premier store , Watsons, Newburgh to use a UPS access point. I was greeted by a faceless young chap that treated it like it was a big chore. It must be hard or something to find friendly staff, or at least train your people to be hospitable. For a community shop this guy seriously lets your side down. I had been at this shop before and it seemed fine. Make sure you employ only good friendly staff, because a small local community shop needs that.

Here we go again - Royal mail Monopolised chaos

Here we go again, latest fiasco. Paid for guaranteed special delivery , waiting 2 days and nothing arrived , no apology. And another separate package was to be picked up by Parcelforce and they never showed up either, again no revised pick up information or advice provided. These cowboys are running our UK postal service as a monopoly, there is no accountability to end users and service levels need to be investigated and closed down. High charges and utterly pathetic unreliable operation. Complicated unworkable network of Royal Mail, Post Office and Parcelforce entities not properly coordinated. They should have stuck to stamps that was all they are good for.

Poor Ethics - The business doesn't seem to have learned

This business doesn't seem to have learned anything. Page after page of a long list of complaints. This business still continues with the same miss-handled orders , so it is par for the course with their haphazard way. I hope you read this before purchasing items and avoid a load of stress. Also check well prior to ordering to avoid any confusion with another similarly named company. Not worth the great hassle involved based on my own experience.

Excellent sound quality from Volumio Rivo - But a buggy Ipad App

I have been with Volumio Rivo for 1 year now. So this is my experience so far. Out of the box it was quite easy to set up with good instructions. Initial sound was good and better than other streamers I had purchased, this was expected as the price is quite high for a minimal transport. I upgraded to a linear power supply and this had a dramatic effect raising the quality substantially, so factor this in , you will need a good power supply to get the most from your Rivo. I primarily use Tidal masters and CD transport , and this all works very well. My only real outstanding major issue is that the Volumio App software which I run on an an pad is very buggy, It freezes quite a lot and needs resetting often. Not sure why this is and it can be hugely frustrating and let's the whole experience down. Also If the App was available for Mac OSX that would help a lot. But this is probably not on the horizon. I also use the App with an Android phone. In summary, Volumio Rivo is relatively quite expensive , but the sound quality is excellent which is what matters the most. I use it with a Chord DAC 64 and Naim amplification and Wharfedale speakers.

Terrible 'storage shed' - Not fit for purpose

An Outsunny garden Sentry shed was supplied by Garden Chic costing over £130. Item was poor quality and not fit for purpose for the UK weather. Made out of very flimsy lightweight wood panels, poor instructions and assembly methods provided and no stable base uprights. So fragile that the first autumn wind blew it over and it collapsed , it was eventually reduced to a crumpled heap, could only use it in my Woodburner fire as expensive low quality firewood. Can't understand why a company would charge so much and sell this junk as a garden 'shed'. Was not fit for purpose and I was annoyed and disappointed that I bought it. I thought and expected it would be strong enough for a relatively sheltered spot the garden, basic robustness is what is needed for a storage 'shed'. Garden chic should discontinue selling this item as it doesn't meet basic standards for outdoor storage equipment.

I do apologise that you were unhappy with the order. Being a retailer, a large selection of our products are sent direct from suppliers to customers, and only a small portion of the products we have on the website are supplied from one of our own warehouses. This specific item was sent from a supplier.

We would usually ask for an email with images to be sent to our email address - info@gudrum.com - however as you mentioned, the shed was used as firewood so we would be unable to report anything for you sadly at this stage.

Failed again - Poor show

Useless company , failed me before and thought I'd give another try. They have now failed again. Ordered an expensive coffee table , Wayfair took money immediately and then emailed me after 3 weeks informing me that the item was discontinued. I wont be back again. Waste of time. Should not take money for items they do not have available, that is wrong.

Poor service and lack of communication

Very slow service... Ordered a pendant lamp , Waited over a month. It eventually arrived but this company really need to improve service quality. They unfortunately are not recommended due to the poor experience. Unfortunately they are not learning, many people are complaining. There is always some excuse, first it was black Friday and now Christmas is blamed. Other companies can deliver on time.

Tried to cancel during the pandemic .. was ignored

Tried to cancel during the pandemic and price hike. Sky made it nigh impossible to cancel, no automated service like they have for joining. They gave lame excuses about staffing. For a digital company their customer service is pathetic. Their charges are not competitive for TV services, they had the audacity to charge me a further £10 for HD as though this was something special in this age of technology. I would advise against using this company as they don't respect their customers and oh incidentally Sky news has become a laughing stock with their useless presenters and biases. Avoid this dinosaur of a company!
