I am disappointed with the service received from Halfords.
On 10 January 2026, I had four tyres fitted. After one tyre was damaged by a pothole, I visited National Tyres and Autocare in Shrewsbury, where I was initially informed the tyre (with over 7mm tread) would be replaced under warranty and was given an appointment for 17 March 2026.
At the appointment, a different staff member charged me £143, stating I had to pay 35% as the tread was only 5mm. This contradicts the earlier inspection confirming over 7mm tread. I purchased all four tyres at the same time, and the remaining tyres still have over 7mm tread. I also contacted customer service, who stated the tyre was only 5mm. This is difficult to accept, as the tyre has covered less than 1,000 miles in two months.
