No stars would be the best review

If I could give Zenith bank no stars then that's what I would give but I didn't have that option. This is the worst bank I've EVER had to deal with. I feel they are scammers. I send someone a large amount of money. The bank account shows that the money is in the bank with no withdrawal. The bank says the money isn't in there. WHERE IS IT???
No one should deal with these people. TERRIBLE

Zenith bank is a very stupid bank

Zenith bank is a very stupid bank. I Sent money to a family member since Sunday, today is Thursday and the money hasn't reached the person's account and I got debited. It's the 21st century, that's highly unacceptable.
What's annoying is, I have sent an email and it's been 48hrs and no one has responded to me. There's also no one to call.
There are many other customers that have complained about this. Very very stupid bank

AWFUL BANK AVOID

This bank is a disgrace and just does not bother to respond to customers. I emailed them on 4 August and no response. I emailed again today and not even an automated response. Alas for me I have a fixed rate bond with this bank.

Worst bank

I wish i can give less than 1 star, the worst bank in Nigeria, opening an account with them is the worst thing you can do to your mental health. What they do is daylight robbery, they steal your money in form of nonsense outrageous fees, when you finally get a hold of a customer service agent, they tell you there’s nothing they can do, it’s worse for people like us who do not live in the country. I made a transfer of $100 and i was charged $70, i was not given prior information about the charges, but immediately i transferred i saw the charges, i tried to reach them on the phone and i was waiting for almost 2 hrs, while waiting i also reached them on facebook, instagram, twitter and even their customer service chat all at the same asking them to void the transaction but they all gave me the same generic response of “ it’s not reversible”. I also sent an email too and then tried to call the next day, they said my money is gone. The only reason i made the transfer was to avoid my account going to “dormant” status as Zenith bank always puts my Current and $ account in dormant status if no activity for 6 months and the last time i went through hell to get my account into “active status so that was the only reason i made that transfer.
They put you through so much stress and do not care about your feelings, they should also be given the award for the bank with the worst customer service. My name is Naomi Odi, incase Zenith bank wants to verify the authenticity of this review.

Awesome Experience

I had my cash Retracted and ... wow,I got my money back without even reporting the retract just when I needed it the most...That was an awesome experience!!!

There could be 5 atms in a branch but only one has service the rest out of service, there's no time there's cash at their atm, during weekends be ready to be disappointed if you depend on them to get money or do transaction. Mobile app does not support android 8.1.0., claims to be best bank in Nigeria which is highly misleading the public, debits you even for every credit to your account and "issuer switch inoperative" responses while using their atm card in other banks' atm machine.

Dead system

Always debit people and will never execute the transaction, each time I try buying data from my app, I will always get debited but the data won't get to my mind and I will have to start chatting the dead customer care for refund

Am a new subscriber,couple of guys came and open an account with me since i have friends that use the bank so have heard intresting thing about the bank but i must tell you the attitude i got from one of your staff at ojokoro branch lagos state,am really not happy...
met chidinma at the desk and she was reluctant to attend to people on queue before me so it makes me wonder if she actually had some issues from home that she brought to the office, its actually a shame to the brand i must tell you cos she was not friendly atall...
she told me i had issues with my BVN that i should visit Gtbank were i registered my BVN to rectify it Facing down and not giving eye contact...
i have worked nine years of my life to know how hospitality industry operates
long story short i had to go to GTbank and rectify the problem, had to walk into a diffrent bank on the island for then to tell me i had to go back to chidinma to remove the restriction before am able to use my account...
well had to drive down from the island and met with mr vitus the head of operations who assured me the restrictions will be removed
as i speak my account is still restricted after several calls that myt BVN issue has been resolved
i surely cant be at chidinmas mercy just because i want to start saving with zenith bank...would rather close down the account and go elsewhere cos i feel am not welcomed!!!

IT IS REALLY SAD THAT IN THIS JET AGE WE STILL HAVE BANKS THAT TAKES FOREVER TO SORT THEIR CUSTOMERS ISSUES.

I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE SUCH WITH OTHER BANKS. PLEASE WORK ON YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE CULTURE BECAUSE THE REWIEWS ARE VERY BAD.

Zenith bank, how come it has turn into an habit when you debit you don’t credit back, why do you guys always do this and even up not working on it, you guys are the biggest fraud in the banking system, bunch of thieves. Return my money 😡

Just that you know I have been a customer of Zenith Bank Plc.since the year 2000. Service was good in the years past even when many emerging banks in Nigeria were just beginning to grasp with new technology. But with years gone by, Zenith Bank Plc has been going down from bad to worse in offering all aspects of banking services to its customers. E.g.,

1) Customer Desk Services at many branch offices and at the headquarters are worse than animal meeting ground. Staff are crude and disrespectful. Courtesy and decorum from staff to customers who are used and talked to as pawn are on the increase. The banking halls from days of COVID-19 topresent day are like Mushin Market in noise and rowdiness and here, the survival of who knows who thrives with alacrity. The customer service desk with two call lines at the headquarters can keep you listening to a classless music for days even if you’re calling from abroad at staggering per second call charge.

2) Cash Point ATM service at everywhere you find one in the wall are no more than apologies. They lack cash 24/7; breakdown 24/7. Where you do get a unit working, it does take upward of 1hr to service one customer due to painfully slow network. What’s more, it’s common knowledge that every senior bank staff in Nigeria in general and in Zenith Bank in particular, has Point of Sales [POS] agents working outside the bank for them. ATM cash bags are diverted to bank staff personal POS businesses outside the bank for exchange sales at cut-throat transaction charges. The queue to take out as low as N5,000 from an ATM cash machine can be as long as Kaduna-Abuja train length, all to the joy and comfort of bank staff in the building.

I can go on but Zenith Bank Plc has overtaken the Union Bank of Nigeria in antiquated technology and human capital and still offering 1950 banking services in the 21st Century Nigeria. It’s sad that Nigerians are having it this bad with our banks and only a few people including our Regulator CBN barth an eye !!!

The customer care department needs to…

The customer care department needs to be revamped . They are a bunch of incompetent personnel that need to be retrained or fired . I have a POS error transaction but was debited . How can there be a number for customer care and you can’t even use the voice number prompts . You can’t talk to the customer care . Automated CS system too is crappy . Eventually used the live chat and no response for 8 hours . I am already regretting opening an account with Zenith .
