This time I would like to share my experience with the report I received in the “health” section. It was as accurate as ancestral reports I received previously. What I particularly appreciated is the fact they use multiple SNPs, faithfully replicating the methodology of GWAS studies, which is considered the gold standard in assessments of complex, polygenic conditions and illnesses. It is also important to note that the number of SNPs included in generating the report is smaller than actual number in GWAS studies, since most commercial tests cover less than 0.1% of DNA. I myself had the luck of having WGS file which they have processed and uploaded for mentioned analyses.

In summary, I value their professional approach and kindness in communication.

Having explored all DNA Testing Companies, Vahaduo, and Gedmatch, I can confidently say this site offers an outstanding analysis of Ancestral Groups and Countries. The site's administrators and Facebook group provide an enjoyable experience. While calculators are free, the purchasable reports rival, if not surpass, other DNA software. YourDNAportal also offers specialized reports for individuals with Eurasian, African, and Native American heritage. I highly recommend this site!

I bought two of their report packages (Eurasia and Pangea) and both the modern origins reports gave me very different (and inaccurate) sets of results. I won’t be going any further with this company. Money down the drain…

At first, I thought, well maybe this is another startup company using the same free Gedmatch calculators, but recently I noticed they offer more advanced tests. My paid tests were reasonably priced and the ethnicity results came back fairly comparable to my family tree and similar to other companies.

“Your DNA Portal” helped me to tease out some of the hidden nuance of my ancestry, where another test failed to deliver. As a descendant of the Afro diaspora, who wanted to learn more about my African ancestry, YDP was one of the only DNA companies which features a host of diverse ethnic groups, typically not represented, in most DNA databases. I was searching for a test, which could help me determine if I had possible ancestry related to Hausa and/or Fulani people. I was ecstatic to find out that these African populations, and more, were represented, and I jump at the chance to see what I could discover: I matched with Fulani of Senegal, Niger and the Hausa people! With this said, I found Your DNA Portal to be very creative, in the development of genetic test, which are so precise, they are able to accurately pinpoint regions, and populations (on a minute scale), my ancestors may have hailed from at some time in the past. As far as diversity, the Team itself a diverse group, and from diverse backgrounds. As a result, I believe YDP Team brings a unique “Global perspective” to the company! The Team at YDP also really care about what they do, and they put forth a lot of effort into answering questions; and making sure that their customers are very satisfied. That said, the ethnic diversity within the test sampling, is only rivaled by the test takers themselves. I have met new friends, from all around the World, on the YDP Face Book Group, who all share a common passion, and enthusiasm, for genetic genealogy. Overall, my personal experiences have been positive and very welcoming. Keep up the good work YDP!

One of the better companies out there for uploading raw DNA. More accurate ethnicity report than the major testing companies in my experience.

Quite honestly the best dna company around. From a customer service point of view they cannot be faulted, they always address any questions or problems quickly and concisely. And the service itself? Better results than the larger dna analysis companies by a huge margin and with a constantly evolving process which ensures frequent updates to their databases and by extension a service that is always getting better and improving. YDP is also brilliant at guiding the novice dna traveller through terrain that can be difficult. I am a very satisfied customer and look forward to a long association with this company.

Hands down the absolute best ancestry DNA site on the market. The administrators are constantly updating and refining the admixture calculators to give more accurate results and adding new calculators based on historic periods. Really recommend.

Excellent results, highly detailed with a vast array of samples to compare ones DNA. Results also correspond well with those from other companies. Customer service is also very professional, these people know what they're doing and they do it well.

As someone who has used all of the DNA Testing Companies, Vahaduo and Gedmatch, I can say that not only does this site give the absolute best breakdown of Ancestral Groups and Countries, but the Administrators of the site and Facebook Group are a pleasure to work with. The Calculators are free and the Reports that you can purchase are just as good,if not better than any other DNA Software out there, plus YourDNAportal has Reports specifically focuses on people of Eurasian, African and Native American Ancestry. I can not recommend this site enough!!!

This is more than an ancestry site it's a new world that will bring you together with like-minded individuals that become lifelong friends.

Just like the feeling when your results are ready was my first feelings of excitement to see there was a share your results button on a Facebook group for Yourdnaportal. If you are like me and many others your significant other doesn't share the same passion as you and your FB friends could care less as well. This is a site where everyone cares and brings insight to yours and listens to your insight about theirs - you have many knowledgeable people surrounded around you to help you better understand certain results and admixtures in your ancestry.

The product itself is great! Some of my favorite and most accurate results and I have been around the block in testing. "Pangea and Eurasia" were designed with love with every detail. These are a couple of the two advanced tests that you can purchase but they have several others tailored to other ethnicities from Native American to African and so on. They also offer free Oracle calculators that are a modernized version of Gedmatch-like results that are easier to use and understand.

The admin and the staff are always involved in the site within the group - and when I say involved they're posting their results as well and fielding questions in the trenches within. Nicola Capelli is as class as it comes and specializes in "custom reports" at a low price which are a huge seller. As stated on previous reviews I had an unusual request revolving around my toddler daughter where I wanted him to take mine and my fiancé's K36 or K13 results and come up with an ancestry report for my daughter. He made two and also took it a step further, more scientific I should say and actually utilized our Raw Data - the results were amazing. He customizes reports of your liking and it seems no test is too much to ask.

This site is what we all have been waiting for because literally any report you could dream of is there or can be created at your fingertips. Being surrounded around like-minded people is a huge plus! The owners of the site are just as passionate about the product as us which makes us all like a big family.
