I rented a car thru Priceline, when I went to York car rental in San Diego, the guy said I needed to provide a copy of my dmv report plus provide 2 house bills. I’ve never rented a car and had to give any of this kind of information. The attendant became very argumentative and rude. Please don’t waste your time renting a car from them.

STAY AWAY… It was the worst experience i had renting a car. They are all foreigners from Turkey. I only got rented from them because it was part of my priceline bundle. STAY AWAY! I got charged 200 extra and was but into a damaged car. I should have paid attention or done research

Denver Airport York Car Rental

Offsite, but all rentals are offsite...but is was even further offsite.

Had a 1;00 PM pick up. Wife and kids collected luggage while I went to pickup car. Had one person checking cars out as well as in. Was second in line...waiting and waiting and then another person showed. Got checked in and then waited for the car which was NOT ready to rent out. I believe the first person had to clean it.

got the car, a Durango, that has had a rougher life. Took my walk around videos (both at pick up and return) and went to pick up the family and got them at 3:15. Unacceptable wait time for a SCHEDULED P/U!

Car drove fine, was comfortable, and had good gas milage for a larger SUV...but there were 2 problems:

1: A plastic headliner cover in the rear luggage area kept coming loose
2. The rear passenger tire kept loosing air from day one and I had to put air in every day. Turns out there was a 3/8th" flange head bolt in the tire. If the car had a puncture and this is how they solved it by screwing a bolt into the tire there should be a significant penalty imposed on them for sending a family of 5 out on the road on that tire. Regardless, of what York's opinion is,
It had been screwed into the tire. We had a reinforced patch put on in Granby, CO at the cost of $50.

I had called the York DEN office and the guys I spoke with said to take it to Discount Tire and get a replacement. Unfortunately, the closest was in the greater Denver area 2 hours away (5 hours round trip).

When I found a tire company who could fix it, I called YORK back and the woman went off on me about how it was my fault and I am responsible.

Screw that. It's a trap!

Now we got a bill for $500 from York with no explanation as to who, what, when, where, why or how.
York, we are contesting the charge. You sent us on the road with damaged goods in harm's way.

I dropped the car off, no one seemed to have the sense of urgency I had to catch a plane. I did take a video before I left.

AVOID THEM.

I guarantee this is based upon my experience with them renting a car 7/13/24 to 7/24/24.

This place is a joke!!! when you Rent a car through WISECARS, is Goes to these clowns, I rented a jeep Grad cherokee for a week to visit my son in colorado, I needed a car big enough for my grandfathers scooter, when I got to the rental place after landing in Denver airport, Th jeep was out for an oil change, so we were exhausted from our travel, so we took a Dodge durango, 1 day later the oil light came on we are an hour and a half from the rental company, also key fog won't connect to the car!!! I call them, the Russian lady that answers the phone talk me to keep driving it! I told her I have a long trip a few hours away she said its fine!! well i still have 6 days left on my trip! She said its fine, by the way I'm a mechanic, she laughed and said it will be fine! told her when it breaks down she can bring me a new car! so about a 1000 miles later its time to head back home get there early in the am right when they open so I'm not stressed at the airport, same Russian lady is there that i spoke to on the phone I knew her voice,i gave her the fob told her it needs a new battery, it defiantly needs an oil change! she said she will put it out of commission for the day to get the work done, she pulls it around the building out of my site is there for a while, i go looking for her as to i have to go catch my flight, she tells me I have to fill out an incident report,WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? she tells me the front window is cracked!! this is CRAZY there was a little circle that was there when I rented it! the she proceed to take another 200.00 on top of the 500.00 deposit on my CC, This company is a joke! by the way it has only been open since the end of last yea, that's why they are cheap I was told from 1 of there workers, they are doing any scam thing that can do to stay afloat!!! Do your self a favor pay the extra 100 and go to enterprise, hertz, any other place then this!!!, UPDATE!!! HE IS 88 YEARS OLD IT IS A TINY RIDE ON SCOOTER IT CAN GO IN THE BACK SEAT OF A CAR!!! SO A FLEET VEHICLE WAS NOT NEEDED! I wanted My family to be comfortable!!!!

The only reason they got 1 star is because i had to select something. I called asking where the shuttle was from DEN, apparently 15 minutes before they closed. We had been waiting for 45 minutes already. The guy on the phone assured me that someone was on the way. Guess who never showed up. We finally hopped onto a real company's shuttle and got the same car for a little more but, we had a car and 24 hour service.

If I could rate this company at a negative 10 I would. It took the shuttle 1 hr plus for them to pick us up from the airport, that was the first step. Then we got to the office there was no one there. Not only did they bait and switch us with the model of the car, they did it to the people before as as well. We were guaranteed a certain kind of vehicle, and the one we got was much smaller. I was so bothered, I told the attendant that I wanted some kind of compensation for the amount of time we had spent waiting to be picked up and for the incorrect model. The manager was the worst. Terrible attitude, curt, rude, couldn’t accomdate anything and even threatened to refuse our rental if we disputed with the third party, Priceline, because the car was not what we had reserved. They ask for a $500 deposit, they charge a $50 ‘administrative fee’ , they wanted to ‘see’ all the coverage la under our insurance plan instead of just the policy number, it was ridiculous and exhausting. Never, ever, again.

Terrible experience. Booked a pickup for 3pm in California, but they marked it was eastern time. Called an hour after the "booked time" and they marked us as a no show, gave our car away and told us we could not be refunded. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE poorly run, understaffed, one lady to check in/out/ and returns...and deceptive....be prepared for insurance verification, a minimum $500. deposit ( not disclosed prior to booking) still waiting for my deposit in credit card to be removed after 12 days..they said it would be removed after 3 to 5 days..no damages to car I drove so why the delay?? one shuttle to and from Denver airport...plan ahead or you could miss a flight..

Absolute garbage. Bait and switch operators. "Lowest Rates" on Priceline, but then require you to have proof personal auto policy or you have to pay $25/day for minimum coverage. Oh, and if you are from outside of the US, your policy doesn't count and you have to pay the extra fee no matter what.

Will never use this service again. Was handcuffed by Priceline booking not allowing cancelation.

Wishing I could give zero stars. Save your time and sanity and do not rent from here!! Not only did I have to wait over 40 min for the shuttle (while it was literally located 5 min away), but the shuttle driver refused to take me because my third party rental said “Ace Rental” when they had actually rebranded to York (he nor I was aware of this so the whole time I was looking for a shuttle with Ace on it that didn’t exist). Then when I finally do arrive they said they’d like to upgrade me due to the inconvenience, I had a Toyota booked which they didn’t even carry, they gave me a smaller car, did no walk around of the car and just gestured the general direction of it, when I got to it there was an orange cone in front of it that I had to move myself. Absolutely absurd!!! This started my trip off very poorly and I will never rent here again!!

Biggest scam from a rental car company. Save your money & go with a reputable company

I'm from California, doing a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Got my confirmation from Priceline for a three day rental, way back on 11/15/2023.

After my cruise, I got picked up at the airport for my York car pickup.

Total scammers, the old bate and switch routine!!

When their van dropped me off at the facility, they had three other company signs displayed behind the counter, not only York. A counter manned by two people, in a very small space!!

I was then told that I needed insurance. My credit card insurance and my own State Farm Insurance was not acceptable.
They did not honor the booking made online, without their insurance.
Now I'm stranded and screwed.
At the counter, nothing but a credit card terminal, spitting out the deposit and payment charge receipts.
Not until you get the car, that's when they give you your contract receipt.
I took off for my journey.
Bang!!
You're dead, now you see what you didn't see on the little credit card terminal.
To resolve the issues, I called them to dispute the charges, I got a recorded message, it has to be by email, and it would take a least 24 hour for a response.
So they will not talk with you in person, no, that has to be done by email..!!
I called Priceline to take care of the situation, they reassured me, saying not to take the car back, they would take care of the situation....not!!
Lesson learned, deal only with the major car rental companies.

Not a good experience with these guys at all!
P.S. The cruise was great!!

Took 90 min and three calls to get a shuttle from DEN airport. They require insurance declaration pages and take video obsessively of every little paint chip. We had no pets in the car, just two of us and four suitcases, and when returned, they claimed pet hair was on the drivers and passengers floors. Total fabrication. They charged a $40 “cleaning fee” and were exceptionally rude. Lots of undisclosed charges. Avoid!!!! As a frequent business traveler, this was the worst rental experience ever.

We rented a car from York last summer. They incurred
charges for tolls we used and billed us. No issue paying this however it was sent to a credit collection company without trying to notify us first. Regardless, we paid the fee ($95).Recently, in error, my husband paid the credit recovery agency money that was meant for CRA ($2000). When he contacted them, they advised the money was already sent to York via chqs (chq#'s and dates were given). When we spoke with York, we received nothing but a runaround,them denying this had occurred. At the end of the email today, they advised they weren't helping and to go ahead and proceed with legal action. Keeping the money is theft. We require the money to be returned asap.

God awful. Seriously avoid this company at all costs. You're better off buying a car instead of renting from this place.

avoid at all cost the cheap price not worth it 2 shuttles to and from airport terminal customer service non existent , they require your actual insurance policy present or buy additional ins from them. borders on scam. cars are cheapest junk,over charge for sun pass. do not except 24hr return and no easy drop off

I set up a car rental through Priceline with York to pick up my rental at the Tampa Airport. To my surprise they are not located in the airport like my reservation said but at an offsite location not even close to the airport. We had no way of getting there and they didn't offer shuttle service. I tried to call them and could not get through. We had to rent with another car company. I will never ever use this company again. False advertising.

The wait time to rent a vehicle was poor.
The car reserved was unavailable so I had to go with another vehicle. The vehicle was not clean.
The Administration fees are extremely high and are in the fine print. Toll fees are 3 times higher than the toll with additional fees.
Very poor customer service.
The rental deposit was $735.00 charged to my credit card. Please be very careful because I won't rent from this company again. God Bless you.

had to take 2 buses to off airport location. waited in line for hour and a half to get rental car. then had to put $2500 down as security deposit when I am fully insured. Avoid this place at ALL costs.

Avoid! I Was ask to pay additional fees and my deposit was $1,000.00 with full coverage insurance. Not located at the airport. I will never use a bundle package from priceline or expedia again.My car had an overwhelming air fresh smell to later go away and smell like ass, freaking awful. Seats were dirty. Paid for small suv and got a small Nissan Sentara. I
hated everything about this experience. It's a shame and disgraceful what this world had came too. Stressful, stressful, stressful!!!!
