My experience with Xpress Airport

My experience with Xpress Airport Transfer was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The driver arrived very late, causing unnecessary stress and wasting my time. When the trip finally started, the driver demanded extra payment at the end, which was never mentioned during booking. I contacted the company owner to report the issue, but things became even worse. The owner was shockingly greedy and completely ignorant in the way he spoke to me. Instead of solving the problem, he argued and behaved unprofessionally. I have never seen a company owner talk to a customer with such a rude attitude. It felt like the company’s only goal was to take more money from me rather than provide proper service. Their staff is also careless and poorly trained, showing no respect toward customers. After this experience, I strongly advise everyone to stay safe and avoid this company at all costs. Xpress Airport Transfer has no sense of responsibility, honesty, or customer care. They create problems instead of solving them. Their behavior is unprofessional, unreliable, and completely unacceptable. I expected a smooth and respectful service, but all I faced was delay, overcharging, and disrespect. This company clearly lacks proper management and ethics. The owner’s attitude shows that customer satisfaction is not their priority at all. They do not know how to speak politely or handle concerns. Such greedy behavior from both the driver and the owner is shocking. I regret choosing this service and will never book with them again. I hope others read this review before making the same mistake. Please be careful, because this company is only interested in money, not service. Their unprofessionalism is on another level, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. Save your time, save your money, and choose a better, more trustworthy company.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. This is a dishonest company who will happily take your money but not provide the service you booked, or paid for. Trustpilot is showing that they are not displaying truthful information. I booked a taxi to pick me up late at Gatwick. No taxi, despite paying in full in advance. I had to get an Uber. It was £10 cheaper, and reliable.

WARNING DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

WARNING DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! I booked for 31st August a week in advance payment was agreed as cash and is printed on my receipt. the day of pick up I received a very unprofessional email telling me to pay half card eventually after emailing back and forth and phoning up I was able to keep my taxi and pay cash which was originally agreed. The cab that arrived was not what I ordered it was much smaller which should have been cheaper but I still paid the amount for the taxi that I had actually ordered and even tipped on top despite the aggravation they had caused me prior to this. I booked this company at the same time to pick us up from the airport when we returned back to the uk I should have known better from the first time. I emailed on the morning of my pick up to make sure the taxi was still due to pick us up at our booked time to which I was then told pay card or your booking will be cancelled baring in mind I am in turkey I have no way to phone another company, websites are difficult to navigate as it is putting me through to Turkish Taxi company’s only they are aware I am travelling with a young infant and am arriving from plane to airport at gone 2am. I wrote a lengthy email stating that they are in breach of the contract etc they did not care or acknowledge my email I had to message 3 more times to get a response over 3 hours to be told again card or cancel. I have no means to pay by card which I made clear I have cash as that is what I was expecting to pay with I have no means to deposit money into a bank so now I will have to wait until I arrive back in the uk at 2am to try to book another taxi which will be a lot more expensive as it’s a last minute booking and will mean I am having to wait around a lot longer. Stay very clear of this company I believe there is a reason they want your bank details and why they only tell you last minute so you don’t have a choice. what they have done is beyond disgusting and extremely unprofessional and I will be taking this matter up with trading standards and reporting them to all of the relevant authority’s as well as making this public to as many platforms possible and possibly getting it to the newspaper I have never ever experienced this vile behaviour from a taxi company in my life. It’s not like it’s discounted it’s more expensive than other company’s there is something very strange going on. Please please avoid this company especially if you have young children. Don’t use

Booked a taxi for an airport drop off. Phoned me at the time I booked saying was going to be nearly an hour late. Had to try and find an alternative lift at 3am. Shocking service.

Collection from Stansted airport…

Collection from Stansted airport 19/07/25 @ 9pm, slight delay to our flight, Asim our driver contacted me upon landing and advised best options to ensure fast pick up, our driver contacted was to Newport Wales 3 hours, Asim was extremely professional and polite, I would 100% use this company in the future

Uber Taxis

Uber and PayPal users beware !!! On the 30th April 2025 I'd used an Uber taxi. Shortly after being dropped off by this driver my mobile started pinging 16 emails. One was for a meal from McDonalds in Huyton at 19.36 hours for £6.66 the other 15 were all for small amounts of cash e.g. 88p, 76p etc. The Uber driver had clearly kept the fare open to use my PayPal account. Uber users BEWARE !!!
Nothing to do with Xpress Air.

I’ll definitely use them again.

I’m really happy I chose Xpress Airport Transfer for my trip. The driver arrived right on time and made sure I was safely dropped off at my destination. The whole experience was stress-free and smooth.

Very upset client!

I am writing this on behalf of my client who was very upset about her transfer from the airport Flight AC864 landed on 14 Aug 2024 at 10:00am to her port hotel which were arranged by Jayride and assigned to Xpress Airport Transfer.
The issue was that she was at the pick up location and he wanted her to come outside instead of waiting there with a sign.
Here are her remarks:
When I passed the doors to the arrival section, I saw many transfer companies….clean and fine looking gentlemen and women, dressed professionally in suits, holding up signs with their customers name on it, waiting for their customer as soon as they passed through the doors. I of course walked around in circles, exhausted, dragging around my two luggage's and carry-on bag, looking for my name on any of the placards, with no luck! I then finally found the Travellex money exchange counter on the other end of the arrival area, that was indicated as a meeting point, on the invoice from Jayride (I guess they prefer their customer runs after them, rather than they meet their customer), again nobody was there! No sign with my name on it! As I was scrimmaging through my papers, trying to watch my 3 bags while attempting to find Jayrides contact info, I received a call from the Driver "Ali"! He told me that he was waiting for me somewhere outside because he did not want to have to park his car and come inside! Keep in mind….I'm lugging 3 bags, I'm exhausted and this airport is humongous, I say "where outside?" He said he was driving in circles in the arrival area so that he didn't have to pay parking!!!!! I insisted he come find me with his sign with my name on it because I was not about to start walking around outside, dragging my bags, looking for him! 45 minutes later, I was picked up! A man dressed in what looked like a dirty sweatsuit, hanging off his behind, barefoot in flip flops and looking like he hadn't showered in a week. No sign with my name on it, on hand. I somehow had a sinking feeling in my stomach and thought "Oh God! Please no!" Sure enough, that was my $300 personal transfer! I made him show me his email for proof, since my name appeared nowhere on a placard or anything! Then to top it off, in the elevator on the way to the inside parking garage, he was using the parking ticket to clean his teeth! Disgusting is putting it lightly!!!!!

I tried to escalate this with JayRide who were not successful. It sounded to me that the driver was not there on time and wanted to cover his butt! The flight was not delayed and there didn't seem to be a reason why he wasn't there to pick her up!

As you mention that flight was on time but the driver was late. Please note it carefully THAT FLIGHT AC864 ON 14TH AUGUST 2024 WAS LATE 1 HOURE AND 1 MINUTE( Flight Landed 11:01am instead of 10:00am) So we Should send the driver according the flight landing time (in this case 11:01am) PLEASE NOTE IT AGAIN the passenger was picked up at 11:33am exactly 32 minutes after the flight landing( which is the Standard practice for Airport's pickup ) So please talk on the facts ,
Secondly you have advised an executive class vehicle for this journey, where we provided you Tesla model X ( which is consider an executive class vehicle like Mercedes E class or BMW 5 series.
We are concerned about you client's statement that an executive class driver was using the flip flops and wearing suit as well,
this is very funny
;I was picked up! A man dressed in what looked like a dirty sweatsuit, hanging off his behind, barefoot in flip flops and looking like he hadn't showered in a week:
We have asked the driver about his presentation and he straightaway refused your client's statement.

At this position we are not sure what kind of dress he was wearing as we do not have evidence of his presentation, neither your client have provided any evidence to us or Jayride. This is only verbal allegation.
We have replied you with evidence and logic, but still we apologise to you that our driver did not meet your expectation.
Thank you very much again that you express yourself on this platform and we will try our best to improve our services and overcome such kind of mistakes.

Can I convince you to not use this service?

Can I convince you to not use this service? We booked a transfer with them from Gatwick to central London 3 months in advance and explicitly explained that we will require a car seat for a 2.5 year old. We could have taken a cab. We didn’t literally only because this private service stated that they provide car seats. There was a box to check off requesting one and I also wrote it in the notes. That’s clearly explained, right? 3 months is enough time for them to make sure they have one available, right? Before our flight departed I emailed them to confirm that the driver would be there and that they would have a car seat. They almost immediately responded that the driver would be there but made no mention of the car seat. So I followed up and said “great…and they’re going to have a car seat, right?” and they deliberately ignored my email that time. So we arrive at Gatwick and the driver is late, in a smaller car than we requested and HAS NO CAR SEAT!!! It’s Christmas Day. We’ve already prepaid for this miserable service and there’s no public transport available. We’re stuck with them at this point.

Fast forward I have been requesting a refund since they had the audacity to deliberately put my child’s life at risk. Come hell or high water I will be getting a refund. The people that own this company are absolute trash. Take your business literally anywhere else.

Edit: Seriously? You have 2 different customers that you pulled this no car seat crap with and your solution is to start posting fake 5 star reviews! Wow! You people really are trash. FYI, “Dserwsds Friuyesfd” and “Wersfds Zasedf Reewsd” are 100% fake reviews that they posted after I posted my honest and scathing one. Do not book with these people. You are putting your safety at risk by doing so.
