If I could give 0 stars, I would. My experience with Womble Bond Dickinson has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was unfortunate enough to be dealing with a solicitor named Lorna, whose level of incompetence, miscommunication, and blatant disregard for facts is frankly staggering.
Despite repeated requests for transparency and clarity regarding a fabricated charge issued by a managing agent, Lorna provided contradictory, evasive, and ultimately baseless responses. She reclassified a single £195 charge three different times – first as a legal fee, then as ground rent, and finally as an administration fee for an alleged breach of lease. Not once could she provide any evidence or documentation to support these reclassifications. Eventually, the charge was quietly waived, which only confirms that it had no legal foundation in the first place.
At one point, my service charge account was even restricted—without any notice or justification—as a deliberate obstruction, preventing me from accessing crucial documents. Instead of acknowledging this clear procedural failure, Lorna doubled down with dismissive emails and refused to admit any wrongdoing.
This firm seems to rely on intimidation tactics, sloppy case management, and gaslighting, rather than actual legal merit. The entire experience was emotionally exhausting, riddled with contradictions, and a complete violation of my rights under the lease agreement.
If you are seeking representation or expect a solicitor to act with integrity, professionalism, and basic competence — WBD is not the firm for you.
I am now escalating this entire matter to the Housing Ombudsman and First-tier Tribunal, where I will be providing every piece of communication to highlight WBD’s clear mishandling and disregard for both legal and ethical standards.
Avoid this firm at all costs.
