This company is happy to boot elderly pensioners with terminal illness out of their homes. I am disgusted with how they treat their customers and then they call in the dogs by way of Minter Ellison Rudd Watts to do the final dirty work.

Honestly, it's a circus dealing with Westpac.
I have been trying to get 4 different issues resolved and we just keep going in circles. Then when I get an email saying "It's done" I find out it actually isn't.
Staff seem pleasant (mostly) but I wonder about their competence.

For almost a week now I’ve been unable to access my Westpac account via mobile app or web portal from overseas due to technical issues. My email to the bank went unanswered despite their promise to respond within 3 days. The worst service I’ve ever received from any bank globally.

They declined to assist me in changing my international phone number. I am unable to transfer my funds. I am unable to change my address. Very poor quality of client service. crazy list of documents should be requested with the referee. That's what no other bank is doing. Avoid going near this "bank." Very outdated method—online banking is far superior.

Horrible phone service. Unwilling to verify if a westpac bank tranfer screenshot with buyer account number on it is real or not. Extremely bad customer service. Would not recommend anyone to use this bank. Terrible attitude and phone manners.

Trying to close accounts on my late mother's accounts, took in all required paper work 3 years ago only to find they have lost it.
Had a substantial amount of money in an account with them for 2 years and not 1 cent in interest. Absolutely disgusting!!

They refused to help me to change my oversea phone number. I cannot transfer my money. I cannot update my address. Very unhelpful customer service. Asking crazy list of documents with referee. No other bank is doing that. Stay away from this “bank”. Very old process nothing compare to online banking.

If i could give Zero i would, worse bank ever. Went there to open an account so i can transfer my money from my existing account, but the staff literary pushed me out and told me we don't open new account , i was so shocked by the staff how negatively talked about their bank!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I haven't been able to access my Hotpoints account via their online banking website for weeks. After a call to the 0800 number last month and not receiving a follow up e-mail as promised, I decided to drop into the Langdons Road branch to talk to someone. I explained that I wasn't able to access my Hotpoints account from my PC at home or my phone and that I had undertaken all the recommended fixes. The teller refused to report the fault unless I downloaded the app and tried accessing my Hotpoints account from that. The point was lost on her that even if the app worked, they still had an issue with their website! I left frustrated and called their 0800 number. I spoke to someone who confirmed that Westpac is aware of the fault, the fault was at their end, it has been there for some time and that there was no resolution in sight.
How hard would it be to post a message on the website explaining this?
To the teller concerned, if you get a flat tyre on your car and get a ride home in another car, you still have a flat tyre on your car. Just saying.
I recently had fraud on my old debit…westpac lie
I recently had fraud on my old debit card a day ago.
I lost this over three weeks ago, notified the bank that I needed a new card, and market has lost or stolen 3 weeks ago.
Westpac now saying I never marked it as lost or stolen and that the card was still active.
If I’ve ordered a new card three weeks ago, marked the old card as lost or stolen surely the card is lost or stolen and it is their responsibility to cancel the card.
Funny how I’m facing $1000 of fraud charges the bank runs for cover.
My advice folks…..do not trust Westpac, Your best friends until things go wrong then they run for cover

I have had money sent to my account 30 minutes ago this was to buy a vehicle at aI had organized with the seller a deal that would give me a further $500 discount if I paid straight away in cash went to get the cash and it was not there I rang Westpac to find out what the hold up was and they say it will take 2 to 4 hours in the past I have had money sent from the same account to my account and it was there in 10 minutes now I have lost the $500.00 extra discount THANKS WESTPAC FOR THE GREAT SERVICE NOT The Date is the !8/3/24

I’m notI had an unpleasant experience at the Takapuna branch a couple of years ago. I encountered a staff member who stood next to me and watched as I entered my password at their ATM. I politely asked him to move away, but he refused, stating that he could do whatever he wanted. Despite this frustrating situation, I remained calm and paid for my infraction notice. To make matters worse, he even made derogatory comments on the notice. It's important to remember that it is against the law to harm others.

Never in my life have I entered a bank with the intention of opening an account and receved an immediate response of, "Why do you want to open an account here". This is what happened at Westpac today. We are repatriating. The attitude of this staff encouraged us to leave - we opened two accounts elsewhere. It seems Westpac really need to work on attracting customers!

What a shocking experience phoning westpac. I wanted an appointment with my branch but every time I called them I got so badly mucked around and twice they have promised to ring back but they never do. I am entering day 4 now and it is a two minute job to make an appointment for me. AVOID this bank at all costs as you will be so disappointed

Horrible bank. If you want to pay someone do not think you would be able to pay in a day or two through this Westpac. They take weeks to process the payment and by that time you will be paying late fees too. Absolutely disgusting. The bank doesn't even want to improve. Please use ANZ or ASB they are really good, initiate same day transfer of money infact ANZ does in an hour. You will be always in pain when using Westpac if using as your daily bank.

Terrible bank. Their phone app changed the acct number I was sending to and sent $550 to someone elses acct. Went into the bank and they told me there is not much they can do and I am out of pocket. I showed them on my phone how the account number it is sent to is different than what is showing on my phone. Told me the conversation is finished. I told them I am closing all my personal and business accounts. They told me I could leave now. The manager at Warkworth branch is dumb as a rock, which already knew before going in. Bank somewhere else.
