Always great service from Shafi and the team handover was so simple and efficient, Hired the ID BUZZ for the day to go London and it was a real head turner, really spacious loads of storage it really was a great car had all the gadgets you’d need etc heated seats/steering wheel Apple car play lane assist the list goes on. Charging was so simple. Definitely recommend folks!

Hired a California Ocean for the weekend prior to purchasing one- The rental guys gave us the nearest spec vehicle to the one I was interested in ( had the 204ps engine ) which was was my only must have.

It was still high spec very clean on delivery, it has a few items plates, cutlery, hook up wire, gas and came filled with water.

Yes the handover takes a while but there is a lot to be shown unless you want to break something because you dont know how its operated.

The best part is they will deduct the cost of your rental from the cost of a New or Used Vehicle if you purchase within 6months from them, also worth asking if they are selling off the ex rentals with very low mileage and less than 6 months old.

takes 20-30 mins to handover the vehicle, which needs to be improved. the delay is also due to less staff for rentals. This is also not included in the pick up time. The VW center opens at 8 AM, but rentals are only serviced only starting 8:30 AM. While first pick up times are mentioned as 8:30 AM, which is practically not possible.

We rented a brand new Lwb kombi DSG that had been lined with suede, lowered and on nice wheels. We used it for a family holiday and loved it !
Loads of room and beautiful to drive. Shafi was a pleasure to deal with and made the rental super easy.

The team were so attentive and super helpful. They took time to explain the hire vehicle and how it all works. The vehicle itself was really well presented and incredibly clean. A really great experience.

Many thanks Sven for sorting out our need for a short time hire. It turned out our initial understanding of hire duration per day was incorrect and we could actually hire for a 24hr period. The confusion was related to trying to hire for a Saturday all day and being informed the van needed to be returned by 12-30. This suited us far better as we could take the van away immediately after completing the paperwork on the Friday afternoon. We would have given Sven 5 stars but the earlier information given to us didn't make clear we could have hired the van for 24 hours from Friday lunchtime. Not sure if this is made clear on the website but we were able to complete all the house moving in time to return the van Saturday midday by having the extra time on the Friday. Thanks again Sven.

We were given a brand new California Ocean for the weekend and Shafi ensured that it was the 204PS version we wanted to try out with view to ordering a new one . He was extremely helpful and the whole team there were very welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in the California even in heavy rain on our first night !

The camper van was excellent. The fridge, oven lid and sink were not very clean but overall the van was clean. It was well stocked and had everything we needed.

Staff were efficient & polite when collecting and returning the vehicle. The vehicle was clean and in good condition.

The rental team, Shafi and Robi are real professionals and made the whole experience easy from the start. They took care of all the details and nothing was too much trouble. The Kombi van was spotless and performed beautifully all round Scotland, greatly enhancing our holiday experience. I would have no problem recommending the service to anyone.

Shafi and his team were amazing! Me and my friends rented 5x vehicles and all were great. I especially enjoy the Multivan hybrid two tone in signature orange / silver.

I would highly recommend using this company and will keep using them again and again.

An amazing service from the Portsmouth Branch - very friendly staff who were efficient with their communication and very professional. The VW California was amazing and didn’t want to give it back.!
Unfortunately can’t say the same for VWFS Rent A Car Head Office as their service was appalling but this faded into insignificance with the service offered by Portsmouth

It was professional service on collection and delivery back to VW. Van Transporter was in perfect technical condition. Not much more I needed and expected.

Rented seven seater VW hybrid auto car. Loved the car and the whole driving experience. Aircraft style configurations. From the initial call to return of the car, Shafi was very helpful through out. Had some difficulties understanding some of the car settings after driving few miles but rang them and one of the team members was very helpful. Waiting room also has some good facilities like hot drinks, cold water and free wifi. In summary great experience and would highly recommend.

Everything we needed in campervan, crockery, gas, chemicals, hook up and more bits. Bed most importantly,,, so comfortable I forgot where I was. A great space for the 2 of us over 2 weeks travelling around Scotland. Lots of headroom, didn’t have to pack bed away. Little kitchenette was perfect and great size fridge with freezer box. We had amazing hot weather , so fridge was great to have. We only had a hotel night for 1 night, we used campsites twice, wild camped the rest. Life was very comfortable, had outdoor chairs and table and awning all included. Great for watching sun go down. We will be using this company again to hire

This was my first time renting a VW camper, I was very impressed with Shafi who dealt with us from start to finish.

He took time to show us round the vehicle and answered all of our questions despite us picking the van up later than planned which meant him working past his working hours, nothing was too much trouble.

The van itself was immaculate, I was also able to store my car there for the duration of my rental and upon returning the vehicle Shafi had my personal vehicle cleaned which was unexpected and such a nice touch.

Overall a 10/10 experience, would highly recommend and will 100% use again.

VWFS is not your typical car rental company but I'm so glad I found it. It offers great value for money, excellent customer service, and terrific VW vehicles.

Staff were friendly and helpful and having rented from them twice both vehicles were almost brand new, in great condition and handed over spotlessly clean.

Great experience. Very professional.
