Voicebunny Review: Poor Customer Service, Bad Quality
I had an inferior experience with Voicebunny. I placed an order for a voiceover for a podcast based on our article, and the onboarding specialist, Gianluca, made several massive mistakes. He misunderstood my instructions, and he failed to deliver the voiceover on time. The quality of the voiceover was also so bad that it was not even usable at all.
I was very frustrated, and I contacted customer service. Customer service apologized for the mistakes, and they refunded my money. They also said that I would receive a free order as compensation. However, when I tried to use the free order, I was told that it was not available.
I am very disappointed with Voicebunny. They made several mistakes, and they did not honor their word. The quality of the voiceover was also so bad that it was not even usable at all.
I would not recommend Voicebunny to anyone. This company is not reliable, and they do not honour their word. The quality of the voiceovers is also very poor. I would advise you to look for a different voiceover company.
Hey guys
Hey guys, just letting you know, please rate on their "BunnyStudio.com" profile. This one is no longer promoted by them.
As a professional voice over artist for over 10 years, I can tell you should avoid working with these people.
You will be paid 15% (or less) of the total amount they are charging to the final client... In the real world of voice over, is the complete opposite; your agent or casting agency usually takes from 10% to 20% of the budget, not the f****** 85%!!!
Just get far away from VoiceBunny.com
I would give this 0 if I could
I would give this 0 if I could. Terrible. Cowboys. Charlatans. Avoid like the plague.
All I needed was a few hours with this…
All I needed was a few hours with this company submitting my Voice-Over sample, and then reading the customer reviews here to realize they are a complete waste of time. As another customer review opined: , "run don't walk" from this company.
Bad deal for talent!
Talent is only paid a tiny fraction of the total amount. Terrible math for talent.
Strongly feel Bunny is not credible.
Just read a review that reassured me that this service is not professional; the writer, who like me, is a long-time voice actor was stunned at "review" he got on his submission and because of the negative feedback he was rejected. Me too! I've been recording at home for over 20 years, none of my clients have had any negative comments about the quality of my recordings, yet this Bunny group told me there was room noise, other noise, sibilance, (which I have never been accused of!) and just overall poor quality. Funny that none of my current clients have any problems with what I record! Apparently this "service" is made up of a group of voice actors and who knows what level of "professionalism" they possess. So these people make the decisions on who to represent and use ridiculously low pricing scales. My Advice: sign up with one of the well-known and well-respected voice casting services. You can Google the top 10. Bunny is not that group.
THIS IS VERY MUCH A SCAM SITE
Terrible company for voice…
Terrible company for voice professionals. Be aware of all the negative feedback that voice actors give them, I think it is telling if a company doesn't treat the people it is working with fairly. I have been working over the years with many companies and this is by far the worst.
Pathetic and farcical not trying again
Voice Talent AND Clients be warned...
I am a full-time professional voice talent for 10+ years. I looked at the platform and the demos of the voice talents there for the first time today. From a voice talent's perspective I would never be on there. This has NOTHING to do with the business I know for so many years. I mean, come on, the same price for all kinds of usage and territory?
CLIENTS, be warned: Especially if you are looking for foreign talent... I saw voice talents there claiming to be native speakers when clearly they are not.
This is SCAM!!!
This is SCAM!!!
I beg all clients of this "Voice over company" to put their hands off.
Very dishonest and unfair behavior. This server pays about 10-20% of the total amount to voice talents.
This is a terrible site
This is a terrible site, work doesn't come through that often and when it does its for peanuts and arrives at 2 am! No regard as to whether you are awake, you have to reply instantly or get marked down and the chances are your audition will be rejected. It's a pain in the backside to get on in the first place. I'm not going back
Completely random Quality Control means clients suffer
Clients suffer because of completely random Quality Control standards.
The “Quality Control” aspect of Voicebunny is farcical.
Every time I submit an audition it is rejected for reasons I, and other professionals I have shared clips with, couldn’t discern. Auditions have then been accepted by a different agent when resubmitted with no changes.
Remote QC agents on a pittance of a wage obviously have to make it seem that there is work to be done.
Clients suffer at the end of the day as they may not hear the voice best suited for their project and voice talent is demoralised and hugely undervalued.
A rabbit hole to avoid!
Unprofessional platform for voice-overs.
What is said in other reviews with a poor score here: it’s all true.
VoiceBunny is a complete scam
VoiceBunny is a complete scam. At first when I was rejected to join their site I took it really personally, I could not understand what they were hearing that was wrong in my recording that apparently couldn't hear. Fast forward to 3 months later when I applied again literally uploading the same file - accepted. Then had nothing but contest and guess what - all rejected, which they display so everyone else who is applying can see you've been rejected. Then I got what was apparently a direct booking and the gave me a "reward fee" of $26. That's when I did a search and discovered endless complaints and criticisms, many from top professionals who were rejected. It's a joke. They rip off clients and VO artists alike and make god only knows how much profit for themselves. If you have any sense of self worth, get off that site and stop supporting them, they make a mockery out of the industry and out of the talent. $26 for a TV ad? Get f*cked.
You will never know for how long is the…
You will never know for how long is the Licence being sold for. It doesn't cost the same a 15 second VO for 2 weeks used locally, than a 15 second VO for perpetuity used Internationally. Voicebunny will never tell you what are they selling and they will pay you cents on the dollar. Once I did a VO for Coca-Cola, got rejected, and I was glad because they were paying $50usd and then I heard the campaign and it was a 6month campaign Internationally.. That usually goes above $10,000usd and with a discount . I don't know who did the voice at the end, but whoever it was got ripped off...
Plus, they send "contests" at 4am, if you don't answer you "loose points"... It is shady, and never disclose how much are they really charging the client for your service... I wouldn't recommend it at all... Their business is build shadyly and based on nepotism
Don't believe those who give this site…
Don't believe those who give this site a great review. I submitted a blank file and they approved it. I sent in another one and it was rejected. I wouldn't waste my time on this site. They are not honest
This site rips off freelancers
This site rips off freelancers by taking too much of a profit from them, and makes the process harder than it needs to be.
As a freelance voiceover artist, the sample rate specs they ask people to submit in are garbage - yet they expect voiceover artists to submit high quality samples and will arbitrarily delete these samples.
Scam, and a waste of time. Don't bother lending your voice to this site.
I recorded my demo to sign up in a well…
I recorded my demo to sign up in a well known studio and was rejected because thr equality wasn’t ‘good enough’ I’ve booked huge gigs with the same quality so I know it’s not me. I wanted to sign up to try something new but I’ll stick to the ones I know. Judging by the reviews seems like I dodged a bullet...,
I’ll tell you why they suck
Don’t ever use these guys:
1. If you’re a VO
They get you to do a job and they want the whole thing (500) words, edited. You spend the better part of an hour making it perfect and then you upload it...BANG! Two seconds later you get an email saying “oh there’s plosives..”oh there’s clicking...”oh there’s distracting breaths”...and you know DAMN WELL there’s not because you’ve been doing this for years! They haven’t listened to s#@t!..it’s an automatic response so they can say it’s your fault instead of saying “yeah we had like 50 people do this job and we already had our favourite but in case they fell through we got everyone to do the whole thing so we had a finished backup ready to go” they can say “sorry it wasn’t acceptable standard”
A waste of time for voice artists
2. If you’re looking for a VO
Refer to 1. .....they’re A#@$!!holes to Voice Artists
TOTAL SCAM!
