Please note Vodafone's Boilerplate response did not answer any questions or provide any information I didn't already have.
SHOP (LUCAS) AND CHAT AGENT (FORGOT TO GET HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS IN EGYPT) (5 Stars) were patient, knowledgeable and always extremely helpful.
USA ROAMING (1 Star): Once in the USA, I spent about 2 1/2 hours online (most of it waiting on the Chatbot) getting USA Roaming to work. Even though I was in LA, connections were spotty at best, and about only half the phone calls actually went through. Ultimately, in two weeks in the US, I made about 30 minutes of phone calls that cost £132.00 ($184.80) or £3.73/min ($5.2 min). Note to self, next time get a US SIM and save yourself £112.00 ($156.80)
CHATBOT (0 Stars): One of the worst chatbots I’ve ever encountered. Not only did it have the intelligence of a single-digit IQ’d squirrel, but when it finally did extract a few words from your query, it would steer you to the website with information you already knew. Otherwise, why would you be contacting the chatbot?
Once you’ve gone through all its tedious algorithms to actually speak to an agent, every time there’s a response from an agent, the chatbot loops you to the very beginning! Never seen that on any other chatbot. Ever Ever Ever. You can imagine that after being on the chat for 45 minutes, you spend as much time scrolling to the bottom as you actually do communicating with an agent!
Galaxy S25 (0 Stars). A nightmare train wreck of Samsung bloatware piled on Android bloatware, coupled with apps “enhanced” (!) with AI to the point of unusability. After a week I returned the Samsung S25 (again, the office staff were incredibly patient and understanding, about the situation, which gives Vodafone another Star), and I reverted to my highly customized and tweaked Galaxy S8. I was amazed at how sleekly it behaved after the Paleolithic clunkiness of the Samsung S25.

Ruben at Brixton Store
Ruben at the Brixton store was very calm and very helpful. I had quite a few questions to start with as I initially didn't want to change my plan but just needed a new phone. He took his time to talk Mr though all the options and very helpfully helped me find a plan that suits me and means that I won't have big bills waiting for me when I get back from holiday in Ghana.

Really disappointing experience at…
Really disappointing experience at Vodafone Brixton. I’ve been in twice this week and both times the staff were incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful.
The first time, they sold me credit but didn’t help me upload it to my account. When I explained that I couldn’t call Customer Service because my SIM wasn’t working, they just shrugged and told me to use someone else’s phone - no attempt to actually help.
The second visit was just as bad. I went in to get a replacement SIM and asked a member of staff if I could use the gadget to change it over. Instead of helping, she told me she didn’t have one and to go ask one of the other managers myself. No effort, no customer service.
Overall, the in-store experience at Vodafone Brixton is really poor.
