I purchased a “designer” dining room chair at the Farnham branch, in 12/23 before the branch closed, in the sale. 2 months ago I saw, after hardly any use, the seat cover (behind where your knees would be), had started to crack and peel. The chair rrp was
£459, so I’d assumed it was leather, but after some research I discovered it is “vintage leather, which is a bi-cast leather.
Unfortunately, once bi-cast starts to peel, the damage tends to spread quite quickly. It is possible to patch it up temporarily with a Leather Repair Paint from a kit, (which I tried, wholly unsuccessfully), but ultimately it will need to be reupholstered”. I’ve investigated this and it’s likely to cost in the region of £300. I spoke with Vale Furnishers who confirmed that that particular manufacturer only offers a 12 month guarantee. I’m speechless - and obviously disappointed and annoyed - so my message here is “buyer beware”!

From ordering a mattress to the actual delivery, I experienced excellent service. The delivery guys Gavin and Scott were polite, professional and very helpful.

My sister lives near Vale Furnishers and has also bought from them in the past. My wife and I have been looking for bedroom furniture for a while - looking at many stores -but no joy. My sister suggested Vale Furnishers. so we went and had a look. Job done!! OMG it was a relief to find quality products and very helpful staff. No pressure leaving us time to look around. We were so impressed that we also bought a couple of swivel chairs for our lounge. Good choice and delivered on time to the Horsham area. They treated our house with respect covering their feet automatically. My daughter now shops there too and have bought a couple of sofas. We're going back again soon for more furniture. A great experience. We dealt with Carmen Durbaca a Sales Advisor who not only knew her products but went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Well done and keep it up

We had been looking for black velvet dining chairs for months. When we went to visit Vale furnishings a few months ago, we were overwhelmed with their choices of dining chairs and found exactly what we were looking for. The lady who served us was also very friendly and helpful without being too pushy. We would highly recommend this shop!

Absolutely love our new dining table and chairs, just what we were looking for. The showroom is great, so much choice, and Harvey was very helpful.
We wanted to donate our old table and chairs to charity, and after making arrangements for it to be picked up the day before our new ones were to arrive, we were let down at the last minute. Vale furnishers came to the rescue however, took them away no problem. A big thanks to Mark and Aaron for delivering and installing seamlessly. We were kept informed at every step. Such a professional company to deal with.

Knowledgeable salesman, met timescales. The two delivery guys were brilliant, so careful with the furniture and ensured they were placed exactly as we wanted them. The two sofas are stylish and comfortable.

I rarely write reviews but Vale deserves it. Fabulous showroom - enormous selection of great looking stuff!
Friendly service, that leave you alone to browse and are on hand if you have any questions.
We bought an arm chair and are delighted with it. Made by Fama (a Spanish company), just one of the quality brands that Vale supplies.
The delivery guys were awesome - really friendly and took the boxes of bric-a-brac in support of the charity, Phyllis’s Tuckwell.
Without doubt I will return for my next furniture purchase…

I have not written a review in years so Vale Furnishers had to impress a great deal to find myself writing this.

Apart from an extensive and impressive showroom, the staff are simply delightful and can't seem to do enough to help every step of the way, and above all without the slightest pressure.

Worth travelling the distance. I suspect it will be a long time before I feel sufficiently impressed by any other company to write a review.

It is not often you deal with a retailer and really enjoy the experience! This is however the case with Vale Furnishers who I regret are only available to those living within a reasonable radius of their extensive showroom in Ash Vale.
What is so impressive is the knowledge, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. We have moved 3 times in the last few years, downsizing each time, so needing some different furniture each time. We have received such good service (not just a word but actions) that we have no hesitation in returning solely to Vale for our flooring and furniture as it is such a pleasure to deal with them.
Faultless service from the management to the fitters and delivery teams. I hope this is not OTT but they really deserve praise and your visit to see for yourself!

Wow, what a fantastic company.

On 25 August 2024, my wife and I were looking to buy a brand new top-grain leather three-piece suite.
After poor experiences with previous purchases from other companies, where we paid a lot of money, we were both very sceptical about buying another one.
However, we met a lovely young lady named Rani who was absolutely brilliant, she answered all our questions, and showed great empathy, integrity, and competence.
We have a real wooden floor at home, and most furniture company's only display their three-piece suites on carpets, but Rani got the suite we liked and put it on a wooden floor to see how it felt, that is what you call service, needless to say we purchased the three-piece suite.
The suite was due to be delivered on 19 December 2024, but we had a problem as an enormous credit card company would not release funds that they received for our previous three-piece suite in September 2024. We phoned Charles at Vale Furnishers to explain what had happened, we were really embarrassed and told him that he should not deliver it, but he offered us a way round the problem which we gratefully accepted and took delivery on 19 December 2024. We were completely astounded that Charles actually trusted us, their customer, showing good old fashioned values, which are compassion, simplicity and humility etc. We have now received our money form the enormous credit card company and have now paid Vale Furnishes in full.
What a firm, if you want to purchase any furniture then look no further. At last a company who treats their customers with respect, you never see that service today. The three-piece suite is quality.

Purchased a large carpet for our extended lounge. Dan helped us select the right carpet from their huge range. He also came out to test the floor to ensure it was dry enough for fitting and arranged the carpet fitting. The fitters were also excellent. We are a happy customer, and we will be buying more from Vale Furnishings.

Bought a sofa from their Farnham branch (no closed due to redevelopment of the site) so went to the store in Ash to find a side chair. Was welcomed and asked if I needed help, however, it was a genuine welcome and i found something that I liked and set about ordering it.
The item was an ex-display and it was delivered just 6 days after I ordered it and the communication from the business was excellent.

On the day of delivery I got a text saying the delivery team were on their way and who they were, then a phone call and then they were here.

Both Gavin and Stuart were polite, engaging and remembered me from the first delivery which was over a year ago, and took off their shoes before entering the flat and chatted to me and didn't rush the job or me even though they had a busy day ahead.
All the team from the sales team to the finance team to the drivers, showed authentic service and I would recommend the business as head and shoulders above the places you can get soft furnishings from.
Many thanks to you all and I look forward to see you when I need more furniture.

Just taken delivery of our new “replacement” sofa & armchair. Once that we were notified that our order was ready to be delivered , the process was seamless, quick and efficient!
We were kept fully informed both before and on the day of delivery, so that we could easily plan ahead.
The delivery guys/drivers were excellent too. Very friendly, approachable, and they worked speedily & efficiently!

Harvey was very helpful in discussing all the options for our new leather sofa and recliner chair and ensuring we had all the latest sales offers - without any hard sell at all. Great product range, very professional service and as repeat purchasers I'm sure we will be back again in the future.

So good to finally find a trustworthy team with quality products who actually do what they say and follow through with care all the way through! Was a bit of a trek, but would highly recommend visiting Vale Showrooms, as they have a really good, varied selection on show (physically trying before buying is vital!). Amanda at the store is first class - really listens, shares knowledge and goes the extra mile - we came away with completely different chairs than prior chosen, but so much happier! Excellent delivery team, called beforehand, on time, careful, considerate and helpful. On delivery we immediately loved these chairs, so ordered more (baby blue leather reclining dining chairs called Stressless, from Norway - perfect for socialising/back/comfort!). Amanda and the rest of the team pulled out all the stops enabling us to get them delivered just in time for our first gathering! Definitely recommending Vale to our friends.

Have recently purchased two sofas and a foot stool from Vale Furnishers and very happy both with the products and the customer service. The purchased items were delivered earlier than estimated and when we noticed a small pulled thread on one of the sofa cushions, Vale Furnishers immediately sent out one of their customer service staff to remedy the issue. Great service from Steve during the sales process, the two gents who delivered the sofas and the follow up customer service team.
