Mediocre at best
The wait for fitting was over a month which we thought was a little excessive even for November/December. I didn't have much confidence in the fitters when they arrived as they didn't seem to want to do the job, I even had to draw a diagram to show how to cut the carpet around the step!. For the money I paid it is not the quality I thought I would get but the job Is done.

Not all information provided at P. O. S., poor installation, the fitter made decisions without asking the customer their preference. Poor finishing, lack of care and attention due to rushing to finish the job off.

Well where do I start…! Mattress purchased 18/9/24
Well where do I start?
the first day we were supposed to receive the mattress one of your staff became ill so rearranged the date the second time the van broke down so we had to rearrange again the third time it showed up and as soon as we took it out the wrapper the smell was Appalling heavy chemical smell that could not be disguised or slept on. After a couple of days, my aunt had to go to the shop on her mobility scooter to the shop to get help she received no help so then returned again the following day eventually she was helped by a gentleman and explained the situation that she actually could not breathe because of the smell of this mattress he asked to try out of the mattresses from the shop to see if any would be suitable to do a swap with. One was found and within a day or so was delivered and the other removed the smell was unbearable even with leaving doors and windows open it would not subside. My aunt has COPD asthma and angina. And could have been seriously affected by this, after having slept in a chair for two or three days because she couldn’t breathe in the bedroom she eventually kept one of the mattresses that had been in the showroom with No idea of cost compared to the one we had bought. No compensation, no explanation and no variation of prices between beds. We really are not happy with the service received although the gentleman was very helpful in the end but it would be advantageous to work out the difference in prices from the two mattresses as we had chosen and expensive one to begin with yours sincerely

Purchase process was very easy
Purchase process was very easy. Installers arrived on time and were very tidy during the laying of the carpet. We have bought numerous carpets from these over the years and never disappointed.

United carpets & beds the place to go for a good deal.
We have been using United Carpets and Beds for years. We went in for carpet and came out with a mattress as well. You get no hassle from the sales people, unless you need help.

Awaiting any outcome
Complaint raised 19th June following a discussion with head office and my local store. complaint raised as directed and still waiting for a response.
Main complaint was
1. Rubbish left on driveway,
2. No sealer applied to linoleum, despite the costly fitting.
